ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the implementation of national continuing medical education (CME) base programme about infectious disease control and prevention during 2013-2020, so as to improve the quality management of CME.Methods:According to data from national CME system, Excel and SPSS 27.0 were used to analyze project hosting days, places, teachers, students, project directors and training effect. The counting data were expressed by frequency and percentage [cases (%)], chi-square test was used to make comparison between groups, Mantel-Haenszel chi-square test was used for trend test, and the significance test level of the difference was α = 0.05. Results:A total of 116 projects were conducted from 2013 to 2020, with execution rate of 87.9%(116/132). Most hosting days were 2 to 3 days [57.8% (67/116)]. The majority [65.2% (5 785/8 871)] of trainees had junior and intermediate technical titles. As for trainers, trainers with senior technical titles accounted for 87.6% (758/865), and those with intermediate titles accounted for 12.4% (107/865). Mantel-Haenszel chi-square test showed that there was a linear relationship between the proportion of technical titles and the year ( χ2趋势 = 4.97, P趋势 = 0.026). Project directors almost had senior professional title, and nearly one third of them had the experience of undertaking three or more base projects within 8 years. The top three training modules were parasitic diseases prevention and control, AIDS prevention and control, and viral diseases prevention and control. Trainees were highly satisfied with the training contents. Conclusion:The implementation of the infectious disease prevention and control base programme went well in general from 2013 to 2020. In the future, it’s needed to be demand-oriented, rationally design training programs, enhance the evaluation of training effects, strengthen the construction of public health core capacity, and adopt a strategy of brand development in the process of the infectious disease prevention and control base programme.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To comprehensively understand the operational status and existing problems of the neurosurgery professional training bases for standardized residency training in Guangdong Province. Methods:According to the scoring rules of "Standardized Residency Training Evaluation Indicators—Surgery (Neurosurgery) Professional Base" formulated by the Post-Graduation Medical Education Neurosurgery Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, 28 training bases were supervised and evaluated. The scoring results of the supervision of 28 neurosurgery training bases were collected, and the training bases were divided into two categories according to the traditional teaching history, 6 affiliated hospitals of traditional medical schools and 22 non-traditional affiliated/teaching hospitals. GraphPad 5.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the 14 core indicators, and t-test, variance analysis and Chi-square test were used for analysis. Results:The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference in the compliance rate of 14 core indicators between traditional teaching hospitals and non-traditional teaching hospitals ( P = 0.003), skill operation and type and number of surgeries ( P = 0.041) and student rotation plan ( P = 0.012). The differences were also statistically significant. Conclusion:This study reveals that the comprehensive management ability of training bases in traditional teaching hospitals is significantly better than that in non-traditional teaching hospitals. Additionally, it's suggested to strengthen the construction of professional bases, enhance the institutionalized management of bases, and thus realize the homogenization training of neurosurgery residents.

ABSTRACT

On-shore port-based training is important to improve naval submarine rescue and escape capability. It is highly necessary to establish subordinate comprehensive training base for submarine rescue and escape, so as to solve the current problems in on-shore port training. Taking into consideration of the organizational leadership, coordination mechanism, supporting system, operational mode, main function, role design, numbers and location of setting, and supplementary measures, we put forward a general concept for the training base, hoping to provide ideas for innovating the training mechanism and improving the training effectiveness of naval submarine rescue and escape capability.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the current residents training of standardized training program and their attitude towards the program, so as to provide suggestions for optimizing the training system.@*Methods@#Questionnaire surveys were carried out among 1 427 resident physicians from 10 hospitals in 7 provinces and cities between March 2017 to May 2017. The investigation covered demographic information, current work and study, training effect and problems. Statistical description and χ2 test were used for analysis.@*Results@#Only 18.08% of the residents in standardized training program considered it as unnecessary, while 80% of them agreed with its effectiveness in improving their clinical skills and humanistic quality. 67.29% of them thought of resignation because of low income and high work pressure. Compared with " double track" residents, those of " double-track integration" complained of lower income and higher workload.@*Conclusions@#Chinese residents in standardized training program had a positive attitude towards the training system. However, the measures should be improved to prevent from possible occupational burnout. It is suggested that professionalism and professional identity education be improved, and subjective well-being feeling of residents be focused to avoid burnouts.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the status quo of "5+3" general practitioners standardized training base in the eastern and westernregions of China to provide reference opinions for formulating "3 +2" assistant general practitioner training. Methods The self made questionnaire and special interview were used to investigate the status quo of the standardized training base(general practitioner department) of "5+3" general practitioners in the five places of Beijing,Zhejiang,Guangzhou,Sichuan and Chongqing and the contents included the basic situation of the training base, management and fund investment, training proposals, etc. Results The two bases thought that the training courses were not connected with the teaching of medical undergraduate. The three bases basically satisfied with the training effect, and 1 base did not satisfy;88.4% of respondents believed that "3 +2" assistant general practitioner training was needed. Conclusion At present, the training system of "5 +3" general practitioners is not perfect, and the whole training is biased to specialization. The general practitioner taining should formulate and select the corresponding standard in the aspects of the training base and training teachers.A systematic curriculum system and matching policies should be established for the standardized training of "3+2" assistant general practitioners.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the construction of training bases for three tumor therapies. Methods Eight training bases in six third-level first-class hospitals with score of technology assessment higher than 90 were investigated. Results There were good hardware in all training bases and qualified teaching staff in six of them. Annual operative quantity of hyperthermia and radioactive particles implantation technology of all training bases were up to the standard , while the coincidence rate of ablation technology was 80%. Besides , quantity of ablation technology and radioactive particles implantation technology trainees participated in during training met the standard, but that of hyperthermia not. There were significant difference in theory and operational test results before and after training (P < 0.01). Conclusions Management system, operative quantity and teaching staff construction need to be improved. Clinical skills training and standardized training assessment should be strengthened in base construction.
