ABSTRACT
The blood donation, component preparation and manufacturing, laboratory, issuing and quality control were studied and compared between the UK and China, in order to learn British experience in the clinical practice and blood services. The age limits of blood donors, blood collection units, donation times per year, laboratory items, and the types(volumes) of component preparation and manufacturing in the UK are more superior than those in China. In addition, the blood quality monitoring and regarding indicators are more scientific and reasonable in the UK. The full reimbursement of clinical blood expenses for patients has been realized in the UK. The British experience in continuous safeguard of the blood safety and balance of requirement and availability contributes to the constant and scientific development of British blood services over the years, and is worthy of references.

As management is a key drive for Research and Development (R&D),it is significant to optimize management of Chinese science research institutions.Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) of the UK is a world-leading research institution,which has been brilliant in scientific inventions and discoveries.This study introduced LMB's competitive advantages and specific measures for future sustainable development,so as to provide reference for the management of Chinese research institutions.
ABSTRACT
This paper analyzed the procedure and organization for developing the clinical guidance by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence(NICE).Focusing on the balancer role of NICE in the UK healthcare system as a statutory criteria maker,it analyzed the implementation and assurance mechanism of the clinical guidance for policy recommendations to the making and effective implantation of such a guidance in China.
