ABSTRACT

With the continuous improvement of the hospital diagnosis and treatment level and the continuous renewal of medical equipment in China, the mismatch between medical equipment management personnel training and the introduction of medical equipment, the development of medical technology and the requirements of modern hospital management is increasingly prominent. This article is based on a current situation survey of medical equipment and management personnel at all levels of hospitals in Shanghai. It discusses joint with professional colleges and universities, and gives suggestions about needs, objectives and practice of personnel training. It provides references to improve the personnel training of medical equipment.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#Aiming at the different characteristics of the various stages of medical equipment life cycle in hospital, research on the targeted and meticulous management mode.@*METHODS@#Divides the whole life cycle of medical equipment in hospital into four phases, which are the selection demonstration period, purchase acceptance period, maintenance period, and retirement disposal period, and comparison with human fetal period, infant stage, adult stage and old age.@*RESULTS@#With the meticulous management mode, the service quality of medical equipment in hospital has been improved, and the service benefits have been enhanced.@*CONCLUSIONS@#According to the respective characteristics of different stages, the corresponding meticulous management mode is implemented to make the management more scientific and standardized, and the operation is safer and more reliable, which escorts the whole life cycle of medical equipment in hospital.

ABSTRACT

Medical services, medical insurance institutions, medical administrations, pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical and medical device research institutes, and health-related service providers produce large amounts of data in the operation, which constitute medical and healthcare big data. Medical and healthcare big data is the important basic strategic resource of a country. The construction of the national big data platform for medical and healthcare management is of great significance to the development of healthcare in China, and will bring new development and change. Medical devices and equipments are essential to the provision of quality services, the lack of safe and effective and functional medical equipments will affect the quality of healthcare services, affect the diagnosis and treatment of patients, and even threaten the healthy development of the entire healthsystem. Application of IoT technology and big data technology, and with the help of the national big data platform for medical and healthcare management, can solve many problems existing in the supervision and evaluation of medical devices, medical device adverse event control, hospital medical equipment maintenance (such as maintenance, condition monitoring, accident retrospective, evaluation and scrap) and medical device acquisition process, so as to improve the management efficiency and management level of medical devices and improve the efficiency of medical equipment production enterprises in product registration, after-sale service and adverse events protection. This process has a realistic driving significance and long-term strategic significance to our medical system. In this paper, the problems in the management of medical equipment in China were analyzed, and the function of the national big data platform for medical and healthcare management in medical equipment management were introduced and analyzed.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the influence of the comprehensive and continuous management on the quality improvement of medical equipment in the operation room.Methods The"Five in One"mode,which consisted of organization scheme, regulations implementation, operation training, utilization supervision and maintenance, was applied in an observation group,and a control group was established with conventional management mode.The two groups were compared in the times per week of medical equipment utilization, maintenance and hidden risks elimination, the incidence rates of failures and adverse events as well as the medical staffs'satisfaction.Results The observation group had the times per week of medical equipment utilization and hidden risks elimination significantly more than those of the control group, while the times in a week of medical equipment maintenance,failures and adverse events less statistically(P<0.05).The medical staffs' satisfaction in the observation group was enhanced obviously when compared with that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The new"Five in One"mode is effective in solving the problems that occur when the old decentralized mode is adopted for medical equipment management in the operation room. ABSTRACT

Objective To design a whole process management information system of the field medical equipment.Methods According to the problems found in the management of medical equipment, the functional requirements of different user systems were determined.The system was developed with combined Java and C languages,Eclipse and Visual Studio 2012, and was connected into military integrated information network according to security requirements.Results By applying the whole process management system of the field medical equipment, all process data could be managed from purchasing, warehousing,distribution,use,maintenance,R&D and so on.Conclusion By applying this system,the management of the field medical equipment is improved, functional requirements are met of all levels of health equipment management, the platform for data sharing among relevant departments is set up,and the static mode is transformed into a real-time,dynamic and whole process one for field medical equipment management.

ABSTRACT

Objective To enhance the intact rate of the equipment for emergency treatment and life support. Methods Closed-loop management was realized by introducing PDCA cycle, developing regulation, process and plan, strengthening personnel training,implementing inspection and maintenance,executing quality control and etc.Results The intact rate of the equipment for emergency treatment and life support was increased from 60.2% to 100%. Conclusion The hospital is improved in emergency treatment,and passes the recheck of the grade-A tertiary hospital.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the application and control of failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) in the risk management of food and drug inspection institutions. METHODS: A 25-people team was set up and the factors related to equipments in the management review report and external review were analyzed through brainstorming and expert consultation. Thirty-four large risk factors were idendified. RESULTS: The top five risk factors in respect to risk priority number(RPN) value were as follows equipment not undergoing period verification, lack of experience, communication risk between inspection department and equipment management department, daily use and maintenance not meeting the requirements, inadequate consciousness of equipment management. CONCLUSION: The application of FMEA can identify and deal with the failure mode in the process of equipment management and timely detect high risk projects in the equipment management to achieve better control of quality of laboratories.

El presente artículo expone una vigilancia tecnológica realizada para encontrar criterios de evaluación de riesgos usados para gestionar equipos biomédicos. Se presentan las ecuaciones de búsqueda planteadas con sus respectivos resultados y el análisis de acuerdo con la ecuación con la cual se hallaron los resultados de mayor relevancia. El análisis presentado corresponde a la dinámica de publicación en el tiempo, medios de publicación, autores relacionados, instituciones destacadas, países destacados, tipos de documento y áreas temáticas con el fin de identificar particularmente autores, países, instituciones y medios de publicación líderes en el tema. En la sección de resultados se analizan los artículos de los principales medios de publicación debido a la pertinencia de los enfoques según el marco regulatorio, paciente y dispositivos médicos que ofrecen. Con el análisis de resultados se obtuvo información concluyente que permitió observar la importancia de la generación de normativa que regule los dispositivos médicos durante su ciclo de vida apoyada en la gestión del riesgo, así como la conveniencia de realizar análisis de riesgos basado en evidencia.


This article presents a technological surveillance proposal for risk assessment criteria used to manage biomedical equipment. We present the search equations, along with their respective results and the analysis according to the equation with which the most relevant results were found. The analysis presented corresponds to the dynamics of publications in time, means of publication, related authors, prominent institutions, highlighted countries, document types and thematic areas, in order to identify particular authors, countries, institutions and publishing media leaders on the subject. In the results section, the articles of the main means of publication are analyzed per the pertinence of approaches, according to the regulatory framework, and the patient and medical devices that they offer. From the analysis of results, we obtained conclusive information that enabled us to observe the importance of the generation of norms regulating medical devices during their life cycle, supported by risk management, as well as, the convenience of conducting evidence-based risk analysis.


O presente artigo expõe uma vigilância tecnológica realizada para encontrar critérios de avaliação de riscos usados para gerenciar equipamentos biomédicos. Apresentam-se as equações de busca propostas com seus respectivos resultados e a análise de acordo à equação com a qual acharam-se os resultados de maior relevância. A análise apresentada corresponde à dinâmica de publicação no tempo, meios de publicação, autores relacionados, instituições destacadas, países destacados, tipos de documento e áreas temáticas com o fim de identificar particularmente autores, países, instituições e meios de publicação líderes no tema. Na secção de resultados analisam-se os artigos dos principais meios de publicação devido à pertinência dos enfoques segundo o marco regulamentar, paciente e dispositivos médicos que oferecem. Com a análise de resultados obteve-se informação concludente que permitiu observar a importância da geração de regulamento que regule os dispositivos médicos durante seu ciclo de vida apoiada na gestão do risco, bem como a conveniência de realizar análise de riscos baseado em evidência.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the calculation method for benefits of economy and society, and analyze and evaluate the performance of large medical imaging equipment.Methods: The data of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and digital radiography (DR) during 2014-2016 were analyzed and the used frequency of equipment in research and teaching task was adopted to evaluate their social benefit. Accounting of single machine method and return on investment method were applied to calculate economic benefit. Finally, the benefit of large medical equipment was comprehensively and systematically evaluated.Results:The benefits of CT and MRI were good, and their overall benefit got steadily growth. While the overall benefit of DR was decline, even individual benefit of DR was loss. For these equipments whose benefits were not ideal, their disadvantages in purchasing, using and management process has been analyzed, and the continuous improvement and suggestion has been provided.Conclusion: Social benefits is an important part of the performance of large medical equipment used in research and teaching. The comprehensive assessment that economic benefits combines with social benefits has great significant for the cost-benefit analysis of large medical equipment.

Objective:During establishing a big general hospital, to pay attention to the organization methods and implementation steps of medical equipment management can shorten the erection time and increase establishing efficiency.Methods: According to government investment for medical equipment and infrastructure project plan, to optimize medical equipment planning scheme; to carry on expert verification, declaration and purchasing by invitation to bid; and coordinate the equipment factories, infrastructure engineers and technicians to finish the installation site condition in order to make sure the equipment installation timely and acceptance check. Results: Based on the amount of government investment, to finish the 0.5 billion equipment plan, hundreds of medical equipment purchasement, arrival, installation and acceptance so as to ensure the hospital basic clinical requirement. To put forward solutions to difficult problems about medical equipment management can ensure every work smoothly.Conclusion: The construction of a new hospital is a system engineering included from planning design, capital construction, equipment inviting bid and installation, and decoration to application. There is affinity between each point and equipment in this system, and this system need higher professional ability and coordinated ability of equipment manager. At present, Shenzhen hospital of Southern Medical University is establishing, managers should communicate and coordinate the process and progress of various aspects; provide planning ideas and implement methods; improve quality; shorten project period and then obtain the whole advancement effect based on possible problem in different stage of equipment management.

Objective:To realize the development of processize, dynamic and normalizing of quality control for medical equipment, and increase the rate of submittal for inspection and work efficiency of medical equipment.Methods: Through data management of informationization platform to count the time, quantity and qualified rate of quality control for medical equipment, and to automatically reminded the number of equipment that was submitted to inspect, and to enhance the rate of submittal for inspection.Results: Through the real-time inquiry function of the operation and maintenance system, the work efficiency was enhanced, and the transformation from static state to dynamic state of the process ofcycle quality control for medical equipment was achieved, and the management for detection data of quality control for medical equipment was improved.Conclusion:Through the application of operation and maintenance system, the work efficiency of cycle quality control of medical equipment can be enhanced, and the informationization management of medical equipment can be achieved, and this system is appropriate for the management of medical equipment in all kinds of hospital.

Objective To standardize manufacturing laboratory equipment management in the comprehensive hospital.Methods The problems in manufacturing laboratory equipment management of the comprehensive hospital were analyzed,and some countermeasures were put forward accordingly from the aspects of establishing equipment management facility,completing rules and regulations,introducing informatized management,strengthening personnel training,executing acknowledge and verification and etc.Results The equipment management was standardized,the equipment maintenance efficiency was enhanced,and the incidence rate of equipment failure was decreased.Conclusion The standardized equipment management contributes to increasing the efficiency of the manufacturing laboratory.

Objective To execute safety management of clinical medical imaging equipment to enhance medical service quality.Methods The classification and main products of medical imaging equipment were introduced.The common failures were analyzed,and the main causes involved in equipment,personnel and environment.The safety management of medical imaging equipment was implemented from the aspects of assets management,quality control management and measurement management.Results The safety management decreased the failure rate,prolonged the service life,reduced the cost,provided data for clinical service and shortened the treatment time.Conclusion The medical equipment management department performs safety management from the aspects of assets management,quality control management and measurement management,so that the efficiency of medical imaging equipment can be ensured.

Equipment management is one of essential preconditions in the development of imaging specialty. In recent years, nuclear medicine in China comes into a fast development with introduction of several novel equipment. These upgrading and updating proposes new requirement for corresponding management. The new nuclear medicine specialized committee of China Association of Medical Equipment has been established in 2017, the new organization will provide better platform for the management of new type and large type equipment of diagnosis and treatment of nuclear medicine. The main problems that nuclear medical equipment is facing and its current status need innovative ideas and improving mode. New specialized committee will propose solving ideas based on existing insufficient in the relative management so as to confirm main task of nuclear medical equipment management.

Objective:To design a tuberculosis(TB) laboratory equipment management system based on Internet of Things (IOT), and put forward the specific plan of IOT technology used in TB laboratory equipment management.Methods: Bases on data acquisition technology, wireless mobile terminal based on wireless LAN technology, radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and computer technology, the Web application system architecture built equipment management system to realize internal information sharing and management of laboratory equipment.Results: The tuberculosis laboratory equipment management system using RFID networking technology and 2-dimensional bar code identification based on recognition, positioning and tracking of equipment, built system architecture by the user login module, device management module, equipment ledger management module and public affairs workflow management module. It has high efficiency, and is convenient for data query, updating and unifying management, information monitoring, real-time dynamic effect of maintenance equipment for positioning and bio safety management.Conclusion:The application of program links TB laboratory equipment management system networking and related technology based on IOT can achieve recognition, positioning and tracking of laboratory equipment, and also can effectively improve the overall level of laboratory equipment management intelligence and laboratory management efficiency.

Objective:To explore the importance of preventive maintenance (PM) of the medical equipment operation and maintenance management system in hospital quality control module. Methods:By introducing the quality control module of maintenance management system into medical equipment operation, the test data was analysed and medical equipment PM plan was developed. Results:Medical equipment PM plan can effectively reduce the failure rate of equipment, thus guaranteeing the normal operation of the equipment. Conclusion:The application of hospital medical equipment operation and quality control module of maintenance management system, can make more accurate statistics for failure cycle and failure rate of hospital equipment, implement the new PM plan, effectively reduce the failure rate and operation cost of hospital equipment, and improve equipment utilization.

Objective: The system of quality control management of medical equipment is an important management means to maintain medical security, achieve quality control management by the information technology, and it can quickly improve the efficiency of management and increase the effectiveness of the management. Methods: Using the tools of B/S of three layer architecture technology, the management of medical device adverse event, assessment of medical equipment, management of medical equipment scrap, management of medical metrology certificate, and other functions are developed. Results:The adverse events, examine, scrap, certificate management, and other functions are designed through the software, the quality of the equipment is mastered in time through different testing cycle of data comparison, so that the related departments can take preventive maintenance to make the equipment in good state. Conclusion: The informational system of quality control management is used to promote the modernization of medical management and guarantee effectively the quality and safety of medical equipment.
