RESUMEN

Objetivo: determinar los factores asociados a la presencia de dolor de rodilla en jugadores de fútbol amateur, pertenecientes a un club deportivo en Lima, Perú. Materiales y métodos: es un estudio de tipo descriptivo de corte transversal correlacional, para su realización, se tuvo en consideración 200 jugadores varones adultos aficionados al fútbol del distrito de Comas, en Lima, Perú. La muestra se obtuvo a través de un muestreo probabilístico aleatorio simple, donde todos los participantes seleccionados tuvieron la misma oportunidad de participar. Se utilizó una ficha de recolección de datos que tuvo en consideración las variables sociodemográficas y los factores asociados al dolor de rodilla, así como la medición del acortamiento de isquiotibiales (a través de la prueba Sit and Reach). Resultados: de los 200 participantes, la edad promedio fue 34,4 años y el 81,5% reportó tener dolor de rodilla. El estado civil resultó ser un factor intrínseco estadísticamente significativo (p=0,034). Los factores extrínsecos asociados al dolor de rodilla en jugadores de fútbol amateur fueron los siguienteslesiones previas en rodilla (p=0.000), calentamiento previo (p=0,000). Conclusión: los resultados obtenidos serán de importancia en la gestión de programas de intervención sanitaria, tanto preventiva como asistencial, para reducir las posibilidades de sufrir una lesión y/o mejorar el rendimiento competitivo..(AU)

ABSTRACT

Objective: to determine the factors associated with the presence of knee pain in amateur soccer players, belonging to a sports club in Lima, Peru. Materials and methods:it was a descriptive study of correlational cross-sectional type, for its realization, 200 adult male soccer fans of the Comas district in Lima, Peru were considered. The sample was obtained through a simple random probabilistic sampling, where all the selected participants had the same opportunity to participate. A data collection sheet was used that took into account sociodemographic variables and factors associated with knee pain, as well as the measurement of hamstring shortening (through the Sit and Reach test). Results: of the 200 participants, the average age was 34.4 years and 81.5% reported having knee pain. Marital status was a statistically significant intrinsic factor (p = 0.034). The extrinsic factors associated with knee pain in amateur soccer players were the following previous knee injuries (p = 0.000), preheating (p =0.000). Conclusion: the results obtained will be of importance in the management of health intervention programs, both preventive and assistance, to reduce the chances of suffering an injury and / or improve competitive performance..(AU)
