RESUMEN
Introducción:
El Síndrome de DRESS es una reacción idiosincrática de tipo B, que se caracteriza por fiebre, eosinofilia, exantema eritematoso generalizado, adenopatías y compromiso de órganos internos (hepatitis, neumonitis, nefritis y otros); los principales responsables son los medicamentos anticonvulsivantes como la carbamazepina, pero puede ser secundario a otros tipos de fármacos; el tratamiento se basa en corticoterapia. Reporte del caso Paciente varón de 41 años de edad que a la tercera semana de haber iniciado el primer esquema de tratamiento por tuberculosis pleural, presenta prurito, exantema eritematoso generalizado y posteriormente eosinofilia, también desarrolla insuficiencia respiratoria aguda de curso progresivo a pesar de la corticoterapia.Conclusión:
El síndrome de DRESS es frecuentemente secundario a tratamiento anticonvulsivante, principalmente la carbamazepina, sin embargo hay pocos casos descritos por tratamiento antituberculoso.ABSTRACT
Introduction. The DRESS syndrome is an idiosyncratic reaction type B, characterized by fever, eosinophilia, erythematosus rash, lymphadenopathy and involvement of internal organs (hepatitis, pneumonitis, and others); the main perpetrators are anticonvulsant drugs such as carbamazepine, but may be secondary to other drug; the treatment based on corticosteroids. case report Male patient 41 years old, the third week after starting the first scheme of anti-TB treatment for pleural tuberculosis presents pruritus, generalized erythematous rash, eosinophilia and later added, in addition to respiratory failure acute,progressive course despite corticosteroid therapy. Conclusion:
DRESS syndrome is often secondary to anticonvulsant carbamazepine treatment primarily, but there are few reports on TB treatment.
