RESUMEN

RESUMEN Introducción: En la actualidad se han sucedido una serie de transformaciones importantes y significativas en el proceso de evaluación a docentes de enfermería en países de Latino América, del cual la República del Ecuador no ha estado exenta y donde el objetivo primordial es lograr la formación de profesionales de avanzada en esta área. Objetivo: Determinar los resultados de la estrategia evaluativa del desempeño docente en profesores de la carrera de enfermería. Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, transversal en 32 docentes de la carrera de enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y de la Salud de la Universidad Estatal de la Península de Santa Elena, Ecuador. Los instrumentos analizados para darle salida al objetivo del estudio fueron la autoevaluación, coevaluación y heteroevaluación de cada docente en el primer semestre de 2016. Resultados: El 71,87 por ciento de los docentes de la carrera de enfermería fueron mujeres, los componentes más representados fueron investigación y docencia. Los componentes en los cuales sus docentes recibieron mejores puntuaciones fueron dirección o gestión académica, vinculación con la comunidad e investigación. Conclusiones: Los resultados obtenidos con la aplicación de la estrategia evaluativa al desempeño docente fueron positivos, ya que predominaron los docentes con evaluaciones satisfactorias sobre todo en los componentes dirección o gestión académica, vinculación con la comunidad e investigación(AU)

ABSTRACT Introduction: Currently, there have been a series of important and significant changes in the evaluation process for nursing teachers in Latin American countries, of which the Republic of Ecuador has not been exempt and where the primary objective is to train professionals in advanced in this area. Objective: Determine the results of the evaluation strategy of teaching performance in professors of the Nursing Degree. Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional study in 32 teachers of the Nursing Career of the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences of the State University of the Santa Elena Peninsula, Ecuador. The instruments analyzed to give an exit to the objective of the study were the self-evaluation, peer evaluation and hetero-evaluation of each teacher in the first semester of 2016. Results: The 71.87 % of the teachers of the Nursing Career are women; the most represented components were research and teaching. The components in which their teachers received better scores were academic management, connection with the community and research. Conclusions: The results obtained with the application of the evaluative strategy to the teaching performance were positive since the teachers predominated with satisfactory evaluations especially in the components direction or academic management, connection with the community and research(AU)
