RESUMO
A triagem precoce do transtorno do espectro autista (TEA) é fundamental para as terapias de estimulação, tratamento e desenvolvimento da criança, sendo a consulta de puericultura uma grande oportunidade. Objetivou- se descrever o conhecimento da enfermeira da Estratégia da Saúde da Família (ESF) sobre indicadores para a triagem do TEA e sua experiência na aplicabilidade na consulta de puericultura. Pesquisa descritiva, qualitativa realizada com nove enfermeiras da ESF em um município do Norte de Santa Catarina. Utilizou-se a análise temática para categorização e análise dos dados. Os resultados foram construídos em três categorias, sendo uma delas "Conceituando o TEA, descrevendo a importância da triagem precoce e vivenciando a assistência às crianças com TEA". Concluiu-se que as enfermeiras desconhecem os instrumentos de triagem para TEA. Quando oportunizado nesse estudo a sua aplicabilidade, as participantes descreveram como de fácil utilização e relataram também a sua relevância.
ABSTRACT
Early screening for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is essential for stimulation, treatment, and child development therapies, and childcare consultation is a great opportunity. The objective of this study was to describe the knowledge of nurses from the Family Health Strategy (FHS) on indicators for the screening of ASD and their experience in the applicability in childcare consultation. Descriptive, qualitative research conducted with nine FHS nurses in a municipality in northern Santa Catarina. Thematic analysis was used to categorize and analyze the data. The results were constructed in three categories 'Conceptualizing ASD, describing the importance of early screening, and experiencing assistance to children with ASD'. It was concluded that nurses are unaware of the screening tools for ASD. When its applicability was made available in this study, the participants described it as easy to use, also reporting its relevance.
