Perfil dos egressos de um Mestrado Profissional em Saúde Coletiva / Profile of graduates of a Professional Master's in Public Health

RESUMO

Introdução: O mestrado profissional (MP) surgiu com o propósito de qualificar profissionais para setores que não lidam com a docência, ou seja, profissionais com experiência que não estão na busca de aprender práticas, mas expandir seus conhecimentos, a fim de solucionar problemas por eles vivenciados na prática laboral. Objetivo: Conhecer o perfil do egresso do Mestrado Profissional em Saúde Coletiva (MPSC) do Estado de Goiás. Metodologia: Transversal retrospectivo de abordagem quantitativa, baseada em dados primários da ficha cadastral das turmas 4, 5, 6 e 7 que entraram no mestrado nos anos 2013, 2014, 2016 e 2017, respectivamente. Resultados: Contemplam dados de 92 egressos. Destes, 49% estão na faixa etária de 20 ­ 30 anos de idade e 83,7% tem representatividade feminina. Com base no Desvio Padrão (DP) da faixa etária de 8,5 observa-se que o grupo amostral é comprovadamente heterogêneo. Conclusão: O perfil dos egressos do MPSC é bem definido, possui vínculo com o serviço público de saúde e são profissionais atuantes no mercado de trabalho, com uma bagagem de conhecimento e carreira definida, e estão na busca de melhoria para o setor saúde.

ABSTRACT

The professional master's degree came about with the purpose of qualifying professionals, even for sectors that do not deal with teaching, that is, professionals with experience who are not in search of learning practices, but expand their knowledge, in order to solve problems, they experience in the labor practice. Objective: Is to know the profile of the graduate student of the Professional master's in public health of the State of Goiás. Methodology: Retrospective cross-sectional with a quantitative approach, based on primary data from the registration form of classes 4, 5, 6 and 7 who entered the master in years 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017, respectively. Results: Include data from 92 graduates. Of these, 49% are in the age group of 20 - 30 years of age, 83, 7% are female and based on the Standard Deviation of the age group (SD) of 8.5, it is observed that the sample group is demonstrably heterogeneous. It is concluded that the profile of the graduates of the MPSC is well defined, has a connection with the public health service and are professionals working in the labor market with a baggage of knowledge and defined career and are in search of improvement for the health sector
