ABSTRACT
Seventeen cases of colon injuries have been managed by exteriorization of the repaired segment Thirteen of them had their loops interiorized after 14 days as no signs of leak or obstruction appeared in them. Four cases developed leak or obstruction and the repaired segment had to be opened widely as a colostomy. Nothing has been lost in these 4 patients because has this technique was not employed they would have had a colostomy from the very start
