ABSTRACT
The immediate and accurate measurement for some clinical signs guarantee to a great extent the early diagnosis and subsequent proper therapy. Thus it is the object of this article to present the design features of a small electronic device which is capable of measuring blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature. Such a device could be very handy for practicing cardiologies and general practitians, especially that it will not cost more than L.E. 30. This device could supply the physician with required information in less than two minutes in the form of a digital readout. A rubber case, used in normal blood pressure recording, is wrapped around the patient's left arm and inflated. After about 20 seconds a digital display in the device will indicate systolic and diastolic pressures respectively, Values of pulse rate and temperature could be displayed by the pressing of their subsequent buttons. The accuracy of this device, due to its low price, is within 1 percent for the pressure and pulse, and 0.5 percent for the temperature readings which is more than a physician needs to diagnose
