RESUMO
The traumatic diaphragmatic hernia occasionally appears in complex thoracoabdominal injuries. It is difficult to diagnose, specially when righ-sided. We present the case of a young patient, with no prior symptoms who, as a consequence of a closed thoracoabdominal injury, presented a right-sided diaphragmatic hernia with migration of the liver towards the thoracic cavity, all secondary to a delayed complete disinsertion of the right hemi-diaphragm
