RESUMEN
La Fibrosis Quística (FQ) es una enfermedad genética que se caracteriza por la afección de las glándulas de secreción exocrina y aunque la enfermedad pulmonar crónica es la causa mayor de morbilidad y mortalidad, también puede manifestarse de manera importante en el sistema digestivo por insuficiencia pancreática exocrina, en ambos en más del 85 porciento de los pacientes. Reportamos el caso de un niño de 3 años en el que han predominado las alteraciones metabólicas.
ABSTRACT
Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease characterized by involving the exocrine gland, although the chronic pulmonary disease is the major cause of morbility and mortality, it may also develop in the digestive system due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (85%) of the a three year old child with metabolic alterations.
