RESUMEN
Fueron ingresados entre diciembre de 1984 y julio de 1985, por padecer crisis aplástica, 15 niños atendidos en el Instituto de Hematología e Inmunología con anemia hemolítica congénita (12 con anemia drepanocítica, 1 con Sß talasemia y 2 con microesferocitosis hereditaria). Todos los pacientes presentaron signos de infección, fundamentalmente fiebre. En todos se observó un descenso brosco de la cifra de hemoglobina de más de 2 g/dl y reticulocitopenia de menos de 1
