RESUMEN
Se efectuó un estudio de casos múltiple, con vistas a identificar las conductas resilientes de 2 adolescentes con insuficiencia renal crónica en fase terminal que recibieron tratamiento hemodialítico en el Hospital Infantil Norte de Santiago de Cuba, desde septiembre del 2009 hasta abril del 2010, para lo cual se empleó el perfil de un niño resiliente propuesto por Cristóbal Martínez. Se caracterizó a una de las pacientes sin recursos asociados al indicador; sin embargo, la otra evidenció su capacidad de sobreponerse a momentos de dolor emocional. En ambas se apreciaron similitudes al encontrarse afectada su imagen corporal por la presencia de una fístula, aún cuando este indicador se manifestó de manera diferente en cada una de ellas, vinculado a las particularidades de sus recursos internos y externos. Además, se corroboraron actitudes sobreprotectoras por parte de familiares que influyeron negativamente.
ABSTRACT
A study of multiple cases was carried out, with the aim of identifying the resilient behaviours of 2 adolescents with end stage chronic renal disease who received hemodialysis treatment in the Northern Children Hospital in Santiago de Cuba, from September, 2009 to April, 2010, for which the profile of a resilient boy proposed by Cristóbal Martínez was used. One of the patients was characterized without resources associated to the indicator; however, the other evidenced her capacity to overcome moments of emotional pain. In both females, similarities were appreciated as their corporal image was affected by the presence of a fistula, even when this indicator had in a different way in each of them, linked to the particularities of their internal and external resources. Also, overprotective attitudes were corroborated by some relatives who influenced negatively.
