La psiquiatria colombiana: un compromiso de todos / Colombian psychiatry: a commitment for everyone

RESUMEN

Inicia el año 2016 con no muy buenas noticias para el país desde el punto de vista económico y por lo tanto con precarias perspectivas desde el aporte que la generación de conocimiento y los procesos de innovación puedan apuntarle al desarrollo de una nación como la nuestra, basta con mirar el presupuesto adjudicado al Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología (Colciencias) para rápidamente sacar esta conclusión, la cifra es irrisoria por no decir lo menos, inferior al 0.5 del PIB (producto interno bruto). Solo en Latinoamérica si nos comparamos con el resto de países, estamos en los últimos lugares de la inversión se hace al intento de obtener desarrollo a partir de la investigación y la innovación.

ABSTRACT

The year 2016 begins with not very good news for the country from the economic point of view and therefore with precarious prospects from the contribution that the generation of knowledge and innovation processes can point to the development of a nation like ours, just look at the budget allocated to the Institute of Science and Technology (Colciencias) to quickly draw this conclusion, the figure is derisory to say the least, less than 0.5 of GDP (gross domestic product). In Latin America alone, if we compare ourselves with the rest of the countries, we are in the last places of the investment made in the attempt to obtain development from research and innovation.
