ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:

To establish a HPLC method for the determination of the content of Ephedrine hydrochloride in Antiviral oral liquid.

METHODS:

The determination was performed on Diamonsil C18(250mm?4.6mm,5?m). The mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.1% phosphate (6∶94) with flow rate of 1.0mL?min-1. The detection wavelength was 207nm and the column temperature was set at room temperature.

RESULTS:

The linear range of Ephedrine hydrochloride was 5.8~29.0?g (r=0.999 6), with average recovery at 98.13%,RSD=1.4%(n=9).

CONCLUSION:

This method was highly specific, sensitive and reproducible, and applicable for the quality control of Antiviral oral liquid.
