ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) and its correlation with cancer cell proliferation and metastasis in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Methods: Immunohistochemical SP method was used to detect the expression of MMP-9 and Ki-67 in 40 cases of OSCC.Results:The expression of MMP-9 was closely correlated with lymph nodes metastasis and TNM stage of OSCC(P0.05).
