ABSTRACT
Objective To investigate the role of endothelin - 1( ET-1) and interleukin-8( IL-8) in tracheal aspirates (TA) in children with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS). Methods The levels of ET- 1 and IL - 8 in TA of 13 patients with ARDS and 11 controls were assayed by enzyme - linked immunosorbent assay. Lung injury score was applied to all patients.
