ABSTRACT
The high incidence of sepsis in children is one of the main causes of death in children with clinical critical illness.Multiple inflammatory pathways are involved in the occurrence and development of sepsis. As an extracellular matrix protein, Tenascin-C(TNC)is not only highly expressed in inflammatory responses, but also can activate downstream signaling pathways through Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4), affect the release of inflammatory factors, and participate in the occurrence of inflammatory responses. However, the specific mechanism of it in sepsis is not clear. Therefore, in-depth exploration of the specific expression of TNC in sepsis and the study of its pathogenesis may provide biomarkers for the early detection of pediatric sepsis and new therapeutic targets for sepsis intervention.
