Giant congenital nevomelanocytic nevus with satellite lesions, vitiligo and lipoma : a rare association.

A case of giant congential nevomelanocytic nevus with satellite lesions, vitiligo and lipoma is described, owing to the rarity of the association. The constellation of finding can be explained on the basis of a defect in the neural crest, which is considered to be a common origin of melanoblasts, Schwann cells, sensory ganglia, bone, fat, muscle and blood vessels.

Congenital familial acral vitiligo.

A 22-year-old female presented with vitiliginous lesions on her hands and feet since birth. Similar lesions at similar sites were present in 4 other family members. The trait appeared to have autosomal dominant inheritance with variable penetrance.

Disseminated Herpes Zoster with Meningo-encephalitis.

A 65 year old, immunocompetent, male patient developed herpes zoster ophthalmicus associated with a generalized varicellifform euption and meningo-encephalitis. Meningo-encephalitis was diagnosed on the basis of CSF picture. The patient responded in seven clays to oral acyclovir (400 mg five times a day).
