ABSTRACT
It has long been known that the iodides, especially the potassium salt, have a special action in leprosy. Most workers have regarded the apparent exacerbation produced by this drug as dangerous and a thing to be avoided. A few workers have considered it useful, especially in diagnosis because they found that nasal catarrh produced facilitated the search for lepra bacilli in the nasal secretion.
