RESUMEN

Replacement of liquid electrolytes with polymer gel electrolytes is recognized as a general and effective way of solving safety problems and achieving high flexibility in wearable batteries1-6. However, the poor interface between polymer gel electrolyte and electrode, caused by insufficient wetting, produces much poorer electrochemical properties, especially during the deformation of the battery7-9. Here we report a strategy for designing channel structures in electrodes to incorporate polymer gel electrolytes and to form intimate and stable interfaces for high-performance wearable batteries. As a demonstration, multiple electrode fibres were rotated together to form aligned channels, while the surface of each electrode fibre was designed with networked channels. The monomer solution was effectively infiltrated first along the aligned channels and then into the networked channels. The monomers were then polymerized to produce a gel electrolyte and form intimate and stable interfaces with the electrodes. The resulting fibre lithium-ion battery (FLB) showed high electrochemical performances (for example, an energy density of about 128 Wh kg-1). This strategy also enabled the production of FLBs with a high rate of 3,600 m h-1 per winding unit. The continuous FLBs were woven into a 50 cm × 30 cm textile to provide an output capacity of 2,975 mAh. The FLB textiles worked safely under extreme conditions, such as temperatures of -40 °C and 80 °C and a vacuum of -0.08 MPa. The FLBs show promise for applications in firefighting and space exploration.

Adhesion molecules play essential roles in the homeostatic regulation and malignant transformation of hematopoietic cells. The dysregulated expression of adhesion molecules in leukemic cells accelerates disease progression and the development of drug resistance. Thus, targeting adhesion molecules represents an attractive anti-leukemic therapeutic strategy. In this study, we investigated the prognostic role and functional significance of cytohesin-1 (CYTH1) in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Analysis of AML patient data from the GEPIA and BloodSpot databases revealed that CYTH1 was significantly overexpressed in AML and independently correlated with prognosis. Functional assays using AML cell lines and an AML xenograft mouse model confirmed that CYTH1 depletion significantly inhibited the adhesion, migration, homing, and engraftment of leukemic cells, delaying disease progression and prolonging animal survival. The CYTH1 inhibitor SecinH3 exerted in vitro and in vivo anti-leukemic effects by disrupting leukemic adhesion and survival programs. In line with the CYTH1 knockdown results, targeting CYTH1 by SecinH3 suppressed integrin-associated adhesion signaling by reducing ITGB2 expression. SecinH3 treatment efficiently induced the apoptosis and inhibited the growth of a panel of AML cell lines (MOLM-13, MV4-11 and THP-1) with mixed-lineage leukemia gene rearrangement, partly by reducing the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein MCL1. Moreover, we showed that SecinH3 synergized with the BCL2-selective inhibitor ABT-199 (venetoclax) to inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of ABT-199-resistant leukemic cells. Taken together, our results not only shed light on the role of CYTH1 in cell-adhesion-mediated leukemogenesis but also propose a novel combination treatment strategy for AML.

Mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (MSC-EVs) have obvious advantages over MSC therapy. But the strong procoagulant properties of MSC-EVs pose a potential risk of thromboembolism, an issue that remains insufficiently explored. In this study, we systematically investigated the procoagulant activity of large EVs derived from human umbilical cord MSCs (UC-EVs) both in vitro and in vivo. UC-EVs were isolated from cell culture supernatants. Mice were injected with UC-EVs (0.125, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, 4 µg/g body weight) in 100 µL PBS via the tail vein. Behavior and mortality were monitored for 30 min after injection. We showed that these UC-EVs activated coagulation in a dose- and tissue factor-dependent manner. UC-EVs-induced coagulation in vitro could be inhibited by addition of tissue factor pathway inhibitor. Notably, intravenous administration of high doses of the UC-EVs (1 µg/g body weight or higher) led to rapid mortality due to multiple thrombus formations in lung tissue, platelets, and fibrinogen depletion, and prolonged prothrombin and activated partial thromboplastin times. Importantly, we demonstrated that pulmonary thromboembolism induced by the UC-EVs could be prevented by either reducing the infusion rate or by pre-injection of heparin, a known anticoagulant. In conclusion, this study elucidates the procoagulant characteristics and mechanisms of large UC-EVs, details the associated coagulation risk during intravenous delivery, sets a safe upper limit for intravenous dose, and offers effective strategies to prevent such mortal risks when high doses of large UC-EVs are needed for optimal therapeutic effects, with implications for the development and application of large UC-EV-based as well as other MSC-EV-based therapies.

BACKGROUND: Adolescent malignant-bone tumor patients' fear of cancer recurrence is a significant psychological issue, and exploring the influencing factors associated with fear of cancer recurrence in this population is important for developing effective interventions. This study is to investigate the current status and factors influencing fear of cancer recurrence (FCR) related to malignant bone-tumors in adolescent patients, providing evidence for future targeted mental health support and interventions. DESIGN: A cross-sectional survey. METHODS: In total, 269 adolescent malignant-bone tumor cases were treated at two hospitals in Zhejiang Province, China from January 2023 to December 2023. Patients completed a General Information Questionnaire, Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (FoP-Q-SF), Family Hardiness Index (FHI), and a Simple Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ). Univariate and multivariable logistic regressions analysis were used to assess fear of cancer recurrence. RESULTS: A total of 122 (45.4%) patients experienced FCR (FoP-Q-SF ≥ 34). Logistic regression analysis analyses showed that per capita-monthly family income, tumor stage, communication between the treating physician and the patient, patient's family relationships, family hardiness a positive coping score, and a negative coping score were the main factors influencing FCR in these patients (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: FCR in malignant-bone tumor adolescent patients is profound. Healthcare professionals should develop targeted interventional strategies based on the identified factors, which affect these patients; helping patients increase family hardiness, helping patients to positively adapt, and avoid negative coping styles.

ABSTRACT: Pulmonary arterial hypertension is characterized by abnormal pulmonary vasoconstriction and vascular remodeling caused by the dysregulation of K + channels in PA smooth muscle cells (PASMCs). However, how the K + channels are dysregulated is still unclear. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are noncoding RNAs with a closed-loop structure capable of sponging microRNAs (miRs), thus regulating gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. Our previous studies have demonstrated the importance of one novel circRNA (hsa_circNFXL1_009, circNFXL1) in pulmonary arterial hypertension patients, playing as a critical regulator for K + channel activation in hypoxic human PASMCs (hPASMCs). Here, we explore the mechanisms underlying circNFXL1-regulated K + channel expression and functions in hypoxic hPASMCs. In cultured hPASMCs, the reduction of Kv current induced by hypoxia was significantly recovered by delivering exogenous circNFXL1. Moreover, luciferase, quantitative reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction, western blot, and mutagenesis studies confirmed that circNFXL1 reversed hypoxia-induced inhibitory effects on the Kv2.1 channel via sponging hsa-miR-29b-2-5p (miR-29b-2). Furthermore, we found that circNFXL1 reversed the miR-29b-induced Kv2.1 channel dysfunction at the whole-cell and single-channel level in HEK cells using a patch-clamp. Finally, calcium imaging revealed that hypoxia also triggered a substantial rise in the cytosolic calcium concentration ([Ca2 + ]cyt) in hPASMCs, and this hypoxia-induced elevation of [Ca2 + ]cyt was reduced by circNFXL1 through miR-29b-2. These data suggested that circNFXL1-mediated regulation of the Kv2.1 channel activation and the related intracellular calcium concentration may contribute to the effects of hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction.

AIM: To compare the risks of adverse events 3 months after Onabotulinumtoxin-A and Lanbotulinumtoxin-A injections in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and to identify risk factors and associations. METHOD: A total of 1037 children (682 males, 355 females; mean age 5 years 2 months [SD 3 years]; age range 2 years-17 years 10 months) with CP underwent 1013 Onabotulinumtoxin-A injections and 418 Lanbotulinumtoxin-A injections from 2012 to 2021. Information was recorded in a purpose-built database. RESULTS: The adverse event rates of Onabotulinumtoxin-A and Lanbotulinumtoxin-A were reported as 13.92% and 11.96% respectively. Most adverse events were mild and self-limiting. Children in Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) levels IV to V had a higher risk of adverse events than those in GMFCS levels I to III (odds ratio [OR] [95% confidence interval {CI}] = 3.65 [1.56, 5.40], p < 0.01). The history of recent illness and higher dose increased the likelihood of adverse events (OR [95% CI] = 2.00 [1.55, 3.00] and 2.20 [1.53, 3.07] respectively, p < 0.01). Sex, age, and the number of injections had no significant effect on adverse event rates (p > 0.05). The incidence of upper respiratory tract infection and lower respiratory tract infection after injections was weakly correlated with the incidence before injections (r = 0.36 and r = 0.27 respectively, p < 0.01). INTERPRETATION: Occurrence of adverse events was similar between Onabotulinumtoxin-A and Lanbotulinumtoxin-A in children with CP. Dose, GMFCS level, and health background were risk factors. WHAT THIS PAPER ADDS: The prevalence of adverse events was similar between Onabotulinumtoxin-A and Lanbotulinumtoxin-A in children with cerebral palsy (CP). The prevalence of adverse events increased with the severity of CP and the injected dose. Sex, age, and number of injections had no significant effect on the prevalence of adverse events.

In the past five years, over 20 types of cyclo-N5- energetic materials (EMs) have been successfully synthesized. Metallic cyclo-N5- EMs exhibit higher density and performance compared to non-metallic cyclo-N5- EMs. However, the mechanisms for such metallic cyclo-N5- EMs remain unexplored. Herein, we performed a thorough quantum chemistry study on the mechanistic pathway for the cyclo-N5- trapped by metal cations in four cyclo-N5- EMs: [Na(H2O) (N5)] · 2H2O, [M(H2O)4(N5)2] · 4H2O (M = Mn, Fe, and Co), by density functional theory methods and transition state theory. During the synthesis process, the cyclo-N5- in the precursor hybrid aromatic compound is susceptible to electrophilic attack by metal cations. This attack disrupts the hydrogen bond interaction surrounding the cyclo-N5-, ultimately leading to the formation of either an ionic bond or a coordination bond between the metal cation and the cyclo-N5-, resulting in an electrophilic substitution reaction. In addition, solvent effects reduce the energy of the ionic bond, thereby promoting the reaction. Our findings will provide valuable insights for future route design and contribute to enhancing the synthesis yield of cyclo-N5- EMs in both theoretical and experimental aspects.

CONTEXT: Morroniside (MOR) possesses antiosteoporosis (OP) effects, but its molecular target and relevant mechanisms remain unknown. OBJECTIVE: We investigated the effects of MOR on glucocorticoid-induced OP and osteoblastogenesis and its underlying mechanisms. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The effects of MOR (10-100 µM) on the proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells were studied in vitro. The glucocorticoid-induced zebrafish OP model was treated with 10, 20 and 40 µM MOR for five days to evaluate its effects on vertebral bone density and related osteogenic markers. In addition, molecular targets prediction and molecular docking analysis were carried out to explore the binding interactions of MOR with the target proteins. RESULTS: In cultured MC3T3-E1 cells, 20 µM MOR significantly increased cell viability (1.64 ± 0.12 vs. 0.95 ± 0.16; p < 0.01) and cell differentiation (1.57 ± 0.01 vs. 1.00 ± 0.04; p < 0.01) compared to the control group. MOR treatment significantly ameliorated vertebral bone loss in the glucocorticoid-induced OP zebrafish model (0.86 ± 0.02 vs. 0.40 ± 0.03; p < 0.01) and restored the expression of osteoblast-specific markers, including ALP, Runx2 and Col-І. Ligand-based target prediction and molecular docking revealed the binding interaction between MOR and the glucose pockets in sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2). DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS: These findings demonstrated that MOR treatment promoted osteoblastogenesis and ameliorated glucocorticoid-induced OP by targeting SGLT2, which may provide therapeutic potential in managing glucocorticoid-induced OP.

Fiber lithium-ion batteries represent a promising power strategy for the rising wearable electronics. However, most fiber current collectors are solid with vastly increased weights of inactive materials and sluggish charge transport, thus resulting in low energy densities which have hindered the development of fiber lithium-ion batteries in the past decade. Here, a braided fiber current collector with multiple channels was prepared by multi-axial winding method to not only increase the mass fraction of active materials, but also to promote ion transport along fiber electrodes. In comparison to typical solid copper wires, the braided fiber current collector hosted 139 % graphite with only 1/3 mass. The fiber graphite anode with braided current collector delivered high specific capacity of 170 mAh g-1 based on the overall electrode weight, which was 2 times higher than that of its counterpart solid copper wire. The resulting fiber battery showed high energy density of 62 Wh kg-1 .

Pairing different cations (R+) to stabilize cyclo-N5- is the main synthesis path for non-metallic cyclo-pentazolate (cyclo-N5-) salts. As novel energetic materials (EMs), crystalline packing-force of cyclo-N5- salts has been a puzzle, and whether cyclo-N5- is protonated also is a controversial issue. In this paper, four non-metallic cyclo-N5- salts, PHAC, N2H5N5, NH3OHN5, and NH4N5, are quantitatively studied by coupling first-principle method and bond-strength analyzing technology. Different from the traditional CHON-EMs (molecular crystal) and azide-EMs (ionic crystal), the four salts are stabilized by 3D hydrogen bond (HB) networks. One new type of hydrogen bond, protonated HB (p-H, R-H⋯N5-), is discovered to be a key stabilizing factor for cyclo-N5-. Proton competition mechanism between R and cyclo-N5- in p-H HB showed that cyclo-N5- cannot be protonated into HN5. In general, p-H HB can be adopted to estimate the stability of novel non-metallic cyclo-N5- EMs. Such findings have great significance for future design and performance prediction of novel cyclo-N5- EMs in both theoretical and experimental aspects.

CO2-assisted oxidative dehydrogenation of propane (CO2-ODHP) is an attractive strategy to offset the demand gap of propylene due to its potentiality of reducing CO2 emissions, especially under the demands of peaking CO2 emissions and carbon neutrality. The introduction of CO2 as a soft oxidant into the reaction not only averts the over-oxidation of products, but also maintains the high oxidation state of the redox-active sites. Furthermore, the presence of CO2 increases the conversion of propane by coupling the dehydrogenation of propane (DHP) with the reverse water gas reaction (RWGS) and inhibits the coking formation to prolong the lifetime of catalysts via the reverse Boudouard reaction. An effective catalyst should selectively activate the C-H bond but suppress the C-C cleavage. However, to prepare such a catalyst remains challenging. Chromium-based catalysts are always applied in industrial application of DHP; however, their toxic properties are harmful to the environment. In this aspect, exploring environment-friendly and sustainable catalytic systems with Cr-free is an important issue. In this review, we outline the development of the CO2-ODHP especially in the last ten years, including the structural information, catalytic performances, and mechanisms of chromium-free metal-based catalyst systems, and the role of CO2 in the reaction. We also present perspectives for future progress in the CO2-ODHP.

BACKGROUND: Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is one of the most frequent malignancies; however, the present prognostic factors was deficient. This study aims to explore whether there is a relationship between tumor volume (TV) and oncological outcomes for localized ccRCC. METHODS: Seven hundred forty-nine localized ccRCC patients underwent surgery in our hospital. TV was outlined and calculated using a three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy planning system. We used receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves to identified optimal cut-off value. Univariable and multivariable Cox regression models were performed to explore the association between TV and oncological outcomes. Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were used to estimate survival probabilities and determine the significance, respectively. Time-dependent ROC curve was utilized to assess the prognostic effect. RESULTS: Log rank test showed that higher Fuhrman grade, advanced pT classification and higher TV were associated with shortened OS, cancer-specific survival (CSS), freedom from metastasis (FFM) and freedom from local recurrence (FFLR). multivariable analysis showed higher Fuhrman grade and higher TV were predictors of adverse OS and CSS. The AUC of TV for FFLR was 0.822. The AUC of TV (0.864) for FFM was higher than that of pT classification (0.818) and Fuhrman grade (0.803). For OS and CSS, the AUC of TV was higher than that of Fuhrman grade (0.832 vs. 0.799; 0.829 vs 0.790). CONCLUSIONS: High TV was an independent predictor of poor CSS, OS, FFLR and FFM of localized ccRCC. Compared with pT classification and Fuhrman grade, TV could be a new and better prognostic factor of oncological outcome of localized ccRCC, which might contribute to tailored follow-up or management strategies.

BACKGROUND & AIM: Gastric cancer (GC) is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths. We established a prospective database of patients with GC who underwent surgical treatment. In this study, we explored the prognostic significance of the expression of CFP1 and 14-3-3 in gastric cancer, by studying the specimens collected from clinical subjects. MATERIALS & METHODS: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of CFP1 and 14-3-3 in 84 GC subjects, including 73 patients who have undergone radical gastrectomy and 11 patients who have not undergone radical surgery. Survival analysis was performed by km-plot data. RESULTS: According to the survival analysis, we can see that the survival time of patients with high expression of CFP1 is lower than the patients with low expression in gastric cancer, while the effect of 14-3-3 is just the opposite. The survival time of patients with higher expression of 14-3-3 is also longer. CONCLUSION: The CFP1 and 14-3-3 genes can be used as prognostic markers in patients with GC, but the study is still needed to confirm.

A simple and rapid detection strategy for vitamin B12 (VB12 ) was established based on label-free silicon quantum dots (SiQDs); the detection mechanism was additionally investigated. SiQDs were synthesized using a one-step microwave method, and their fluorescence was stronger than that synthesized using the hydrothermal method. SiQDs fluorescence was quenched using VB12 due to the inner filter effect (IFE), which was demonstrated using ultraviolet (UV) absorption spectra, fluorescence lifetime, transmission electron microscopy and zeta potential analysis. Subsequently, quercetin (Que) and doxorubicin (Dox) with absorption peaks that overlapped the excitation or emission peaks of SiQDs respectively were used as control groups to investigate the quenching mechanism. Results showed that quenching efficiency was related to the level of overlap between the adsorption peak of the quencher and the excitation or emission peaks of SiQDs. A greater level of overlap caused a higher quenching efficiency. Therefore, the sensitive quenching of VB12 for SiQDs was due to the synergistic effect of the synchronous overlap between the absorption peak of VB12 with the excitation and emission peaks of SiQDs. Fluorescence quenching efficiency increased linearly in the 0.5 to 16.0 µmol·L-1 VB12 concentration range, and the detection limit was 158 nmol·L-1 . In addition, SiQDs were applied to determine VB12 in tablets and human urine samples with satisfactory recoveries ranging from 97.7 to 101.1%.

BACKGROUND: As a unique biological phenomenon, heterosis has been concerned with the superior performance of the heterosis than either parents. Despite several F1 hybrids, containing supernal nicotine content, had been discovered and applied to heterosis utilization in Nicotiana tabacum L., nevertheless, the potential molecular mechanism revealing nicotine heterosis has not been illustrated clearly. RESULT: Phenotypically, the F1 hybrids (Vall6 × Basma) show prominent heterosis in nicotine content by 3 years of field experiments. Transcriptome analysis revealed that genes participating in nicotine anabolism (ADC, PMT, MPO, QPT, AO, QS, QPT, A622, BBLs) and nicotine transport (JAT2, MATE1 and 2, NUP1 and 2) showed an upregulated expression in the hybrid, a majority of which demonstrated an overdominant performance. RT-PCR confirmed that nicotine anabolism was induced in the hybrid. CONCLUSIONS: These findings strongly suggest that nicotine synthesis and transport efficiency improved in hybrid and overdominance at gene-expression level played a critical role in heterosis of nicotine metabolism.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the distribution of psychological aging in healthy population and its relationship with telomere length in peripheral blood leukocyte, and to provide reference for aging evaluation.
 Methods: Stratified random samples were obtained according to age and they were divided into 9 age groups. The age-related psychological information were collected from healthy people by using the self-made scale. Situation of psychological aging, correlation between age and telomere length and score of this scale were analyzed by statistical software.
 Results: A total of 2 100 questionnaires were distributed, and 2 060 of them were valid and has been recovered, with an efficiency of 98.10%. The ratio of male to female was 0.95:1; psychological aging score was in the range of 8.62-23.14; cognitive function score was in the range of 2.25-10.77; emotion score was in the range of 1.45-6.73; personality score was in the range of 0.96-4.22; motivation score was in the range of 1.50-7.18. The correlation coefficient of psychological aging scores with age was 0.721 (P<0.001). The average relative telomere length was 1.06±0.26, and relative telomere length in different age groups were significantly different (F=35.803, P<0.001). Telomere length was negatively correlated with age (r=-0.964, P<0.001) and psychological aging scores (r=-0.915, P=0.004).
 Conclusion: The empirical study of physiological aging scale in healthy population shows that the scores of physical aging are increased with age and that the telomere length is negatively correlated with aging scores, suggesting that the scale can provide reference for the comprehensive evaluation of aging.

INTRODUCTION: Traditional methods for isolating and purifying quaternary ammonium alkaloids from Coptis chinensis do not discriminate the target alkaloids from co-extractives. Mixed-mode analytical chromatography has the potential to improve the separation of analytes in more complex extracts and, when used in a solid-phase extraction mode, improve the purity of isolated compounds. OBJECTIVE: To examine the high-performance liquid chromatographic separation capabilities of a mixed-mode, silica-based adsorbent and its application to the purification of quaternary ammonium alkaloids from Coptis chinensis based on solid-phase extraction. METHODOLOGY: The C18-COOH silica was prepared via "thiol-ene" click chemistry. Its chromatographic performance was firstly investigated. It was employed as the solid-phase extraction sorbent to purify quaternary ammonium alkaloids. RESULTS: Hydrophobic, attractive/repulsive electrostatic and ion-exchange interactions were demonstrated to be the possible retention mechanisms of a C18-COOH silica stationary phase, which could separate analytes of various properties. In addition, to purify quaternary ammonium alkaloids from Coptis chinensis, the solid-phase extraction approach based on the C18-COOH silica provided a slightly higher purification efficiency (6.7%) than an alkaloid-salt precipitation protocol (5.3%). The method had satisfactory reproducibility, re-using the same solid-phase extraction column three times, with relative standard deviations ranging from 1.99% to 8.02% for the six target alkaloids. CONCLUSION: A multi-functionalised silica was synthesised via "click chemistry". As the high-performance liquid chromatographic stationary phase, the C18-COOH silica could be operated in trimodal reversed-phase/weak cation exchange/hydrophilic interaction mode. The C18-COOH silica also exhibited potential as solid-phase extraction sorbent in the purification of quaternary ammonium alkaloids from complex matrices. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

OBJECTIVE: To establish the median databases of serum markers for Down's syndrome screening during the second trimester of pregnancy women in the north-central area of Jiangxi Province.
 Methods: Time-resolved fluorometry was used to detect the serum contents of AFP free ß-hCG and uE3 in 57 548 pregnant women during 15-20 gestational weeks. Risk evaluation was conducted by LifeCycle 4.0. SAS 9.2 software was used to establish a model of the median fitted equation. The newly constructed median system was used to reassess the risk of Down's syndrome development in pregnant women.
 Results: The medianand built in medianof north-central region in Jiangxi Province are significantly different (Z=2.201, P=0.028). The relationship between the median of the triple index and the gestational age was analyzed by the weight regression model. The relationship between the MoM value and the weight was used to calculate the reciprocal model. The median of the new system was more efficiency than the built in median. In the median of the new system than the reference, the detection rate improved from 62.75% to 72.55%, false positive rate reduced by 5.84% to 4.94%.
 Conclusion: The newly constructed median system is suitable for Down's syndrome screening in the north-central region of Jiangxi Province.

OBJECTIVE: To construct a psychological aging scale, and to provide a tool and indexes for scientific evaluation on aging.
 Methods: The age-related psychological items were collected through literature screening and expert interview. The importance, feasibilityand the degree of authority for the psychological index system were graded by two rounds of Delphi method. Using analytic hierarchy process, the weight of dimensions and items were determined. The analysis for internal consistency reliability, correlation and exploratory factor was performed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the scales.
 Results: By two rounds of Delphi method, 17 experts offered the results as follows: the coefficient of expert authorities was 0.88±0.06, the coordination coefficients for the importance and feasibility in second round were 0.456 (P<0.01) and 0.666 (P<0.01), respectively. The consistency was good. The psychological aging scale for healthy people included 4 dimensions as follows: cognitive function, emotion, personality and motivation. The weight coefficients for the 4 dimensions were 0.338, 0.250, 0.166 and 0.258, respectively. The Cronbach's α coefficient for the scale was 0.822, the reliability was 0.817, the content validity index (CVI) was 0.847, and the cumulative contribution rate for the 5 factors was51.42%.
 Conclusion: The psychological aging scale is satisfied, which can provide reference for the evaluation for aging. The indicators were representative and well-recognized.

OBJECTIVE: To build a social aging scale for healthy people, and get the accuracy and feasibility of the scale to judge the aging of healthy people on the basis of the empirical research.
 Methods: Stratified random sampling was conducted according to the nine different age groups, and the age-related social function information was collected for healthy people by using the scale, which was made in our own plant; the distribution of the score, the correlations between the score and age or telomere length were analyzed by statistical software.
 Results: A total of 2 297 subjects were collected for the analysis. The ratio of male to female was 0.8:1. Social function of aging score was in the range of 3.00-12.90; aging score of personal ability was in the range of 1.00-4.45; aging score of social participation was in the range of 1.00-4.52; and aging score of organizational communication was in the range of 1.00-5.00. The correlation coefficient of aging scores with age was 0.696 (P<0.001). The result of telomere length showed that the relative telomere length was 1.056±0.261. The telomere length in different groups were significantly different (F=35.803, P<0.001). The telomere length was negatively correlated with aging (r=-0.964, P<0.001) and social function of aging (r=-0.857, P<0.001), respectively.
 Conclusion: The scores of age-related social function, personal ability, social participation, and organizational communication are increased with age. The telomere length is negatively correlated to aging score. The scale is applicable to measure social function of aging, which can provide reference for evaluation of the comprehensive of aging.
