RESUMEN

Phosphorylation of tyrosine is the basic mode of protein function and signal transduction in organisms. This process is regulated by protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) and protein tyrosinases (PTPs). Immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibition motif (ITIM) has been considered as regulating the PTP activity through the interaction with the partner proteins in the cell signal pathway. The ITIM sequences need to be phosphorylated first to active the downstream signaling proteins. To explore potential regulatory mechanisms, the ITIM sequences of two transmembrane immunoglobulin proteins, myelin P0 protein-related protein (PZR) and programmed death 1 (PD-1), were analyzed to investigate their interaction with proteins involved in regulatory pathways. We discovered that phosphorylated ITIM sequences can selectively interact with the tyrosine phosphatase SHP2. Specifically, PZR-N-ITIM (pY) may be critical in the interaction between the ITIM and SH2 domains of SHP2, while PD1-C-ITSM (pY) may play a key role in the interaction between the ITIM and SH2 domains of SHP2. Quite a few proteins were identified containing the SH2 domain, exhibiting phosphorylation-mediated interaction with PZR-ITIM. In this study, 14 proteins with SH2 structural domains were identified by GO analysis on 339 proteins associated to the affinity pull-down of PZR-N-ITIM (pY). Through the SH2 domains, these proteins may interact with PZR-ITIM in a phosphorylation-dependent manner.

A series of bimetallic NixCuy catalysts with different metal molar ratios, supported on nitric acid modified rice husk-based porous carbon (RHPC), were prepared using a simple impregnation method for the liquid-phase hydrogenation of furfural (FFA) to tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol (THFA). The Ni2Cu1/RHPC catalyst, with an average metal particle size of 9.3 nm, exhibits excellent catalytic performance for the selective hydrogenation of FFA to THFA. The 100% conversion of FFA and the 99% selectivity to THFA were obtained under mild reaction conditions (50 °C, 1 MPa, 1 h), using water as a green reaction solvent. The synergistic effect of NiCu alloy ensures the high catalytic activity. The acid sites and oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of the modified RHPC can enhance the selectivity of THFA. The Ni2Cu1/RHPC catalyst offers good cyclability and regenerability. The current work proposes a simple method for preparing an NiCu bimetallic catalyst. The catalyst exhibits excellent performance in the catalytic hydrogenation of furfural to tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol, which broadens the application of non-noble metal bimetallic nanocatalysts in the catalytic hydrogenation of furfural.

The susceptibility to drug cravings evoked by stimuli poses a formidable hurdle in the treatment of addiction and the prevention of relapse. Pharmacological interventions targeting drug-associated memories hold promise for curbing relapse by impeding the process of memory reconsolidation, predominantly governed by cAMP signalling. Exchange Protein Activated by cAMP (Epac) serves as a distinctive mediator of cAMP signalling, which has been implicated in reinforcing the effects of cocaine and facilitating the acquisition. Nonetheless, the role of Epac in heroin-related memory and the subsequent seeking behaviour remains enigmatic. In this study, we explored the impact of Epac activation on the reconsolidation process of drug-related memories associated with heroin self-administration. Over the course of 10 consecutive days, rats underwent training, wherein they acquired the behaviour of nose poking to obtain heroin accompanied by a tone + light cue. This nose-poking behaviour was subsequently extinguished when heroin infusion and cue presentation were discontinued. Subsequently, we administered 8-pCPT-cAMP (8-CPT), an Epac-specific activator, into the basolateral amygdala at various time points, either in the presence or absence of a conditioned stimulus. Our findings demonstrate that administering 8-CPT immediately after memory retrieval effectively reduces cue- and heroin-induced reinstatement, with the observed effects persisting significantly for a minimum of 28 days. However, infusion of 8-CPT for a duration of 6 h following the memory retrieval trial, or without it altogether, had no discernible impact. Thus, these findings strongly suggest that Epac activation can disrupt the reconsolidation of heroin-associated memory, thereby diminishing the reinstatement of heroin-seeking behaviour.

Soil salinization has become one of the major abiotic stresses influencing food security and maintenance of sustainable eco-environment. Highly salt-tolerant germplasm in mulberry, an important perennial woody plant, could restore the ecology and increase the agricultural income. Studies on the salt tolerance of mulberry are limited. Therefore, the aim of this study was to estimate the genetic variation and develop a reliable and effective evaluation of salt tolerance in 14 F1 mulberry hybrids that were directionally constructed using nine genotypes, including two females and seven males. A salt stress test was performed using 0.3%, 0.6%, and 0.9% (w/v) NaCl to investigate four morphological indexes of the growth rate: the shoot height (SHR), leaf number (LNR), leaf area (LAR), and the total weight of the whole plant after defoliation (BI) in the seedlings of the 14 combinations. The most suitable concentration for evaluating salt tolerance was identified as 0.9% NaCl based on the changes in the salt tolerance coefficient (STC). Comprehensive evaluation (D) values were obtained using principal components and membership functions based on four morphological indexes and their STCs, grouped into three principal component indexes cumulatively contributing to approximately 88.90% of the total variance. Two highly salt-tolerant, three moderately salt-tolerant, five salt-sensitive, and four highly salt-sensitive genotypes were screened. Anshen × Xinghainei and Anshen × Xinghaiwai had the highest D values. The analyses of combining ability further showed that the variances for LNR, LAR, and BI were elevated significantly with the increasing NaCl concentrations. Anshen × Xinghainei from two superior parents (female: Anshen, male: Xinghainei) with relatively higher general combing abilities for SHR, LAR, and BI was the best hybrid combination under high salinity stress, and presented the best specific combining ability for BI. Of all the traits tested, LAR and BI were greatly affected by additive effects and might be the two most reliable indexes. These traits show higher correlation with the salt tolerance of mulberry germplasm at the seedling stage. These results may enrich the mulberry resources by breeding and screening for elite germplasms with high salt tolerance. The dorsal attention network (DAN) is involved in the process that causes wide-ranging cognitive damage resulted in right temporal lobe epilepsy (rTLE). Nevertheless, few studies have evaluated the relationship between DAN and rTLE. There has been little research on alterations in the network homogeneity (NH) of the DAN in rTLE. The aim of the present study was to investigate NH changes in DAN in patients with rTLE. We included 85 patients with rTLE and 69 healthy controls in this study, and resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) data were acquired. The NH method was used for data analysis. All subjects took the attention network test (ANT). Network homogeneity in the right superior parietal lobule (SPL) and right precuneus (PCU) was significantly higher in patients with rTLE than in healthy controls. The reaction time (RT) was significantly longer in patients with rTLE than in controls. Notably, we observed no significant relationship between the clinical variables and the abnormal NH. These results indicated that abnormal alterations in DAN existed in patients with rTLE and highlighted the crucial role of DAN in the pathophysiology of cognitive damage in rTLE. Our findings suggested that the executive function (EF) significantly weakened in patients with rTLE.

OBJECTIVE: Approximately 20-30 % of epilepsy patients exhibit negative findings on routine magnetic resonance imaging, and this condition is known as nonlesional epilepsy. Absence epilepsy (AE) is a prevalent form of nonlesional epilepsy. This study aimed to investigate the clinical diagnostic utility of regional homogeneity (ReHo) assessed through the support vector machine (SVM) approach for identifying AE. METHODS: This research involved 102 healthy individuals and 93 AE patients. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging was employed for data acquisition in all participants. ReHo analysis, coupled with SVM methodology, was utilized for data processing. RESULTS: Compared to healthy control individuals, AE patients demonstrated significantly elevated ReHo values in the bilateral putamen, accompanied by decreased ReHo in the bilateral thalamus. SVM was used to differentiate patients with AE from healthy control individuals based on rs-fMRI data. A composite assessment of altered ReHo in the left putamen and left thalamus yielded the highest accuracy at 81.64 %, with a sensitivity of 95.41 % and a specificity of 69.23 %. SIGNIFICANCE: According to the results, altered ReHo values in the bilateral putamen and thalamus could serve as neuroimaging markers for AE, offering objective guidance for its diagnosis.

BACKGROUND: While prior studies have explored the efficacy of Morinda officinalis oligosaccharides (MOs) as a treatment for patients with major depressive disorder (MDD), the mechanistic basis for the effects of MOs on brain function or the default-mode network (DMN) has yet to be characterized. The objective of this was to examine the effects of MOs treatment on functional connectivity in different regions of the DMN. METHODS: In total, 27 MDD patients and 29 healthy control subjects (HCs) underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging. The patients were then treated with MOs for 8 weeks, and scanning was performed at baseline and the end of the 8-week treatment period. Changes in DMN homogeneity associated with MOs treatment were assessed using network homogeneity (NH) analyses of the imaging data, and pattern classification approaches were employed to determine whether abnormal baseline NH deficits could differentiate between MDD patients and controls. The ability of NH abnormalities to predict patient responses to MOs treatment was also evaluated. RESULTS: Relative to HCs, patients exhibited a baseline reduction in NH values in the right precuneus (PCu). At the end of the 8-week treatment period, the MDD patients showed reduced and increased NH values in the right PCu and left superior medial frontal gyrus (SMFG), respectively. Compared to these patients at baseline, the 8-week MOs treatment was associated with reduced NH values in the right angular gyrus and increased NH values in the left middle temporal gyrus and the right PCu. Support vector machine (SVM) analyses revealed that NH abnormalities in the right PCu and left SMFG were the most accurate (87.50%) for differentiating between MDD patients and HCs. CONCLUSION: These results indicated that MOs treatment could alter default-mode NH in patients with MDD. The results provide a foundation for elucidation of the effects of MOs on brain function and suggest that the distinctive NH patterns observed in this study may be useful as imaging biomarkers for distinguishing between patients with MDD and healthy subjects.

Molecular imprinting polymers (MIPs) are synthetic receptors as biomimetic materials for various applications ranging from sensing to separation and catalysis. However, currently existing MIPs are stuck to some of the issues including the longer preparation steps and poor performance. In this report, a facile and one-pot strategy by integrating the in-situ growth of magnetic nanoparticles and reversed phase microemulsion oriented molecularly imprinting strategy to develop magnetic molecular imprinted nanocomposites was proposed. Through self-assembling of the template, it brought up highly ordered and uniform arrangement of the imprinting structure, which offered faster adsorption kinetic as adsorption equilibrium was achived within 15 min, higher adsorption capacity (Qmax = 48.78 ± 1.54 µmol/g) and high affinity (Kd = 127.63 ± 9.66 µM) toward paradigm molecule-adenosine monophosphate (AMP) compared to the conventional bulk imprinting. The developed MIPs offered better affinity and superior specificity which allowed the specific enrichment toward targeted phosphorylated peptides from complex samples containing 100-fold more abundant interfering peptides. Interestingly, different types of MIPs can be developed which could targetly enrich the specific phosphorylated peptides for mass spectrometry analysis by simply switching the templates, and this strategy also successfully achieved imprinting of macromolecular peptides. Collectively, the approach showed broad applicability to target specific enrichment from metabolites to phosphorylated peptides and providing an alternative choice for selective recognition and analysis from complex biological systems.

BACKGROUND: Major depressive disorder (MDD) and bipolar disorder (BD) are prevalent psychiatric conditions linked to inflammatory processes. However, it is unclear whether associations of immune cells with these disorders are likely to be causal. METHODS: We used two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to investigate the relationship between 731 immune cells and the risk of MDD and BD. Rigorous sensitivity analyses are conducted to assess the reliability, heterogeneity, and horizontal pleiotropy of the findings. RESULTS: Genetically-predicted CD27 on IgD+ CD38- unswitched memory B cell (inverse variance weighting (IVW): odds ratio (OR) [95 %]: 1.017 [1.007 to 1.027], p = 0.001), CD27 on IgD+ CD24+ B cell (IVW: OR [95 %]: 1.021 [1.011 to 1.031], p = 4.821E-05) and other 12 immune cells were associated with increased risk of MDD in MR, while HLA DR++ monocyte %leukocyte (IVW: OR [95 %]: 0.973 [0.948 to 0.998], p = 0.038), CD4 on Central Memory CD4+ T cell (IVW: OR [95 %]: 0.979 [0.963 to 0.995], p = 0.011) and other 13 immune cells were associated with decreased risk of MDD in MR. Additionally, CD33+ HLA DR+ Absolute Count (IVW: OR [95 %]: 1.022[1.007 to 1.036], p = 0.007), CD28+ CD45RA- CD8+ T cell %T cell (IVW: OR [95 %]: 1.024 [1.008 to 1.041], p = 0.004) and other 18 immune cells were associated with increased risk of BD in MR, while CD62L on CD62L+ myeloid Dendritic Cell (IVW: OR [95 %]: 0.926 [0.871 to 0.985], p = 0.014), IgD- CD27- B cell %lymphocyte (IVW: OR [95 %]: 0.918 [0.880 to 0.956], p = 4.654E-05) and other 13 immune cells were associated with decreased risk of BD in MR. CONCLUSIONS: This MR study provides robust evidence supporting a causal relationship between immune cells and the susceptibility to MDD and BD, offering valuable insights for future clinical investigations. Experimental studies are also required to further examine causality, mechanisms, and treatment potential for these immune cells for MDD and BD.

Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a widespread psychiatric condition that affects a significant portion of the global population. The classification and diagnosis of MDD is crucial for effective treatment. Traditional methods, based on clinical assessment, are subjective and rely on healthcare professionals' expertise. Recently, there's growing interest in using Resting-State Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (rs-fMRI) to objectively understand MDD's neurobiology, complementing traditional diagnostics. The posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) is a pivotal brain region implicated in MDD which could be used to identify MDD from healthy controls. Thus, this study presents an intelligent approach based on rs-fMRI data to enhance the classification of MDD. Original rs-fMRI data were collected from a cohort of 430 participants, comprising 197 patients and 233 healthy controls. Subsequently, the data underwent preprocessing using DPARSF, and the amplitudes of low-frequency fluctuation values were computed to reduce data dimensionality and feature count. Then data associated with the PCC were extracted. After eliminating redundant features, various types of Support Vector Machines (SVMs) were employed as classifiers for intelligent categorization. Ultimately, we compared the performance of each algorithm, along with its respective optimal classifier, based on classification accuracy, true positive rate, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC-ROC). Upon analyzing the comparison results, we determined that the Random Forest (RF) algorithm, in conjunction with a sophisticated Gaussian SVM classifier, demonstrated the highest performance. Remarkably, this combination achieved a classification accuracy of 81.9 % and a true positive rate of 92.9 %. In conclusion, our study improves the classification of MDD by supplementing traditional methods with rs-fMRI and machine learning techniques, offering deeper neurobiological insights and aiding accuracy, while emphasizing its role as an adjunct to clinical assessment.

Background: A variety of symptoms, particularly cognitive, psychiatric and neurological symptoms, may persist for a long time among individuals recovering from COVID-19. However, the underlying mechanism of these brain abnormalities remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the long-term neuroimaging effects of COVID-19 infection on brain functional activities using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). Methods: Fifty-two survivors 27 months after infection (mild-moderate group: 25 participants, severe-critical: 27 participants), from our previous community participants, along with 35 healthy controls, were recruited to undergo fMRI scans and comprehensive cognitive function measurements. Participants were evaluated by subjective assessment of Cognitive Failures Questionnaire-14 (CFQ-14) and Fatigue Scale-14 (FS-14), and objective assessment of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), N-back, and Simple Reaction Time (SRT). Each had rs-fMRI at 3T. Measures such as the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF), fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF), and regional homogeneity (ReHo) were calculated. Findings: Compared with healthy controls, survivors of mild-moderate acute symptoms group and severe-critical group had a significantly higher score of cognitive complains involving cognitive failure and mental fatigue. However, there was no difference of cognitive complaints between two groups of COVID-19 survivors. The performance of three groups was similar on the score of MoCA, N-back and SRT. The rs-fMRI results showed that COVID-19 survivors exhibited significantly increased ALFF values in the left putamen (PUT.L), right inferior temporal gyrus (ITG.R) and right pallidum (PAL.R), while decreased ALFF values were observed in the right superior parietal gyrus (SPG.R) and left superior temporal gyrus (STG.L). Additionally, decreased ReHo values in the right precentral gyrus (PreCG.R), left postcentral gyrus (PoCG.L), left calcarine fissure and surrounding cortex (CAL.L) and left superior temporal gyrus (STG.L). Furthermore, significant negative correlations between the ReHo values in the STG.L, and CFQ-14 and mental fatigue were found. Interpretation: This long-term study suggests that individuals recovering from COVID-19 continue to experience cognitive complaints, psychiatric and neurological symptoms, and brain functional alteration. The rs-fMRI results indicated that the changes in brain function in regions such as the putamen, temporal lobe, and superior parietal gyrus may contribute to cognitive complaints in individuals with long COVID even after 2-year infection. The Coronavirus has infected up to 900 million people as of 11 Jan 2023 in China Mainland, which is more than 60% of the population. The sudden and unprecedented nature of pandemic has resulted in a range of psychosomatic issues among the population. These issues can manifest in a variety of ways and it is important to address these issues as they can have serious consequences for individuals' mental and physical health. The lifting of lockdown measures in China presents an opportunity to address these issues and provide support to those who have been affected.

Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a common psychiatric disorder with a high prevalence of comorbidity with subclinical hypothyroidism. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence and factors influencing the comorbidity of subclinical hypothyroidism in patients with dyslipidemic MDD who were hospitalized for the first time in a Chinese population. Methods: The study incorporated 708 first-time hospitalized MDD patients, all with dyslipidemia. Data collection encompassed socio-demographic information, blood pressure, fasting blood glucose (FBG), lipid, and thyroid hormone levels. Participants were evaluated using the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAMA), and Positive Symptom Subscale (PSS). Results: The prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism in dyslipidemic MDD patients with the first hospitalization was 39.97%. The course of the disease, age at onset, HAMA score, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were risk factors for subclinical hypothyroidism in dyslipidemic MDD patients. The course of disease, age at onset, HAMA score, HAMD score, FBG, and systolic blood pressure (SBP) levels were observed to influence serum Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) levels. Conclusion: MDD patients with dyslipidemia have a high prevalence of subclinical hypothyroidism, and the outcome is associated with anxiety, fasting glucose, and lipids. This study provides a potential biomarker for the identification of co-morbid subclinical hypothyroidism in MDD patients with dyslipidaemia.

Introduction: Abnormal brain networks with emotional response in bipolar disorder (BD). However, there have been few studies on the local consistency between manic episodes in drug-naive first-episode BD patients and healthy controls (HCs). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the utility of neural activity values analyzed by Regional Homogeneity (ReHo). Methods: Thirty-seven manic episodes in first-episode, drug-naive BD patients and 37 HCs participated in resting-state functional magnetic resonance rescanning and scale estimation. Reho and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve methods were used to analyze the imaging data. Support vector machine (SVM) method was used to analyze ReHo in different brain regions. Results: Compared to HCs, ReHo increased in the left middle temporal gyrus (MTG.L), posterior cingulate gyrus (PCG), inferior parietal gyrus, and bilateral angular gyrus, and decreased in the left dorsolateral superior frontal gyrus in target group. The ROC results showed that the ReHo value of the left PCG could discriminate the target group from the HCs, and the AUC was 0.8766. In addition, the results of the support vector machine show that the increase in ReHo value in the left PCG can effectively discriminate the patients from the controls, with accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of 86.02%, 86.49%, and 81.08%, respectively. Conclusion: The increased activity of the left PCG may contribute new evidence of participation in the pathophysiology of manic episodes in first-episode, drug-naive BD patients. The Reho value of the left posterior cingulate gyrus may be a potential neuroimaging biomarker to discriminate target group from HCs.

Background: One of the most frequent side effects of atypical antipsychotics is hyperprolactinemia (HPRL), and metformin or aripiprazole co-prescription is regarded as an effective therapy option for reducing prolactin (PRL) levels. However, whether either of the two drugs can reduce PRL levels in patients with long-term hospitalized chronic schizophrenia with co-morbid type 2 diabetes (T2DM) has not been adequately reported. Methods: In our study, long-term hospitalized chronic schizophrenia patients with co-T2DM who were prescribed olanzapine or risperidone as the primary antipsychotic medication were enrolled. A total of 197 of these cases with co-prescribed aripiprazole were set up as the study group (co-Ari group), and the other 204 cases without co-prescribed aripiprazole were set up as the control group (non-Ari group). The two groups' variations in each target parameter were compared, and the variables affecting PRL levels were examined. Results: Compared to the non-Ari group, fasting blood glucose (FBG), blood uric acid (UA), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels were significantly higher in the co-Ari group, but there was no difference in PRL levels. Co-prescribing aripiprazole had no impact on PRL levels in all patients with co-T2DM, and aripiprazole dose had no impact on PRL levels in the clinical subgroup of the co-Ari group. Conclusion: Aripiprazole not only worsened the severity of index disturbances associated to metabolism in long-term hospitalized chronic schizophrenia patients with co-T2DM on metformin-based hypoglycemic medications but also failed to lower PRL levels.

BACKGROUND: Gaining insight into abnormal functional brain network homogeneity (NH) has the potential to aid efforts to target or otherwise study major depressive disorder (MDD). The NH of the dorsal attention network (DAN) in first-episode treatment-naive MDD patients, however, has yet to be studied. As such, the present study was developed to explore the NH of the DAN in order to determine the ability of this parameter to differentiate between MDD patients and healthy control (HC) individuals. METHODS: This study included 73 patients with first-episode treatment-naive MDD and 73 age-, gender-, and educational level-matched healthy controls. All participants completed the attentional network test (ANT), Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression (HRSD), and resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) analyses. A group independent component analysis (ICA) was used to identify the DAN and to compute the NH of the DAN in patients with MDD. Spearman's rank correlation analyses were used to explore relationships between significant NH abnormalities in MDD patients, clinical parameters, and executive control reaction time. RESULTS: Relative to HCs, patients exhibited reduced NH in the left supramarginal gyrus (SMG). Support vector machine (SVM) analyses and receiver operating characteristic curves indicated that the NH of the left SMG could be used to differentiate between HCs and MDD patients with respective accuracy, specificity, sensitivity, and AUC values of 92.47 %, 91.78 %, 93.15 %, and 65.39 %. A significant positive correlation was observed between the left SMG NH values and HRSD scores among MDD patients. CONCLUSIONS: These results suggest that NH changes in the DAN may offer value as a neuroimaging biomarker capable of differentiating between MDD patients and healthy individuals.

OBJECTIVE: Previous studies have revealed the frontoparietal network (FPN) plays a key role in the imaging pathophysiology of bipolar disorder (BD). However, network homogeneity (NH) in the FPN among bipolar mania (BipM), remitted bipolar disorder (rBD), and healthy controls (HCs) remains unknown. The present study aimed to explore whether NH within the FPN can be used as an imaging biomarker to differentiate BipM from rBD and to predict treatment efficacy for patients with BipM. METHODS: Sixty-six patients with BD (38 BipM and 28 rBD) and 60 HCs participated in resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging and neuropsychological tests. Independent component analysis and NH analysis were applied to analyze the imaging data. RESULTS: Relative to HCs, BipM patients displayed increased NH in the left middle frontal gyrus (MFG), and rBD patients displayed increased NH in the right inferior parietal lobule (IPL). Compared to rBD patients, BipM patients displayed reduced NH in the right IPL. Furthermore, support vector machine results exhibited that NH values in the right IPL could distinguish BipM patients from rBD patients with 69.70 %, 57.89 %, and 91.67 % for accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, respectively, and support vector regression results exhibited a significant association between predicted and actual symptomatic improvement based on the reduction ratio of the Young` Mania Rating Scale total scores (r = 0.466, p < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The study demonstrated distinct NH values in the FPN could serve as a valuable neuroimaging biomarker capable of differentiating patients with BipM and rBD, and NH values of the left MFG as a potential predictor of early treatment response in patients with BipM.

PURPOSE: This meta-analysis was to assess the efficacy of digital psychological interventions to improve physical symptoms (i.e., fatigue, pain, disturbed sleep, and physical well-being) among cancer patients, as well as to evaluate the variables that possibly moderate intervention effects. METHODS: Nine databases were searched for the literature up to February 2023. Two reviewers independently conducted a quality assessment. Effect sizes were reported as the standardized mean difference (Hedge's g) and estimated using a random-effects model. RESULTS: The meta-analysis included 44 randomized clinical trials comprising 7200 adults with cancer. Digital psychological interventions were associated with significant improvements in short-term fatigue (g = -0.33; 95% CI, -0.58 to -0.07) and disturbed sleep (g = -0.36; 95% CI, -0.57 to -0.15), but with non-significant changes in pain (g = -0.23; 95% CI, -0.68 to 0.21) and physical well-being (g = 0.31; 95% CI, -0.18 to 0.80). Additionally, no alleviation in long-term physical symptoms was observed. In subgroup analysis, results suggest that the country significantly moderated the effectiveness of digital psychological interventions in alleviating fatigue. CONCLUSIONS: Digital psychological interventions can be effective for improving short-term fatigue and disturbed sleep in patients with cancer. Clinicians could consider digital psychological interventions as a possible and efficient addition to better manage some of the physical symptoms during and after cancer treatment.

Silver paste is widely used for low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) electrodes. In this work, a kind of LTCC silver paste for fine-line screen-printing was developed by considering the effect of the organic vehicle on rheological behavior and screen-printing properties. A step-by-step volatilization mode was applied to screen the mixed organic solvent of α-terpineol, 2-(2-butoxyethoxy) ethyl acetate (BCA) and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). The α-terpineol:BCA:DBP ratio of 5:2:3 is selected by considering the volatility, viscosity, and pseudoplasticity of the organic vehicle. Both viscosity and pseudoplasticity of shear-thinning increase with the increase of ethyl cellulose (EC) organic binder content. Three interval thixotropy test (3ITT) was conducted to discuss the thixotropy of silver paste. The minimum printing line width of 13.27 µm is obtained using silver paste with 10 wt% EC, confirming that the homemade paste has good printability.
