RESUMEN

In this study, a novel AgNbO3/Bi2MoO6/PANI double Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst was created via a solvothermal method, and the method investigates its photocatalytic degradation performance toward norfloxacin (NOR) and other antibiotics. When the content of AgNbO3 is 5 wt % and the content of PANI is 1 wt %, the rate of degradation of AgNbO3/Bi2MoO6/PANI on NOR under visible light is 95.56%, the rate of removal of total organic carbon is ∼57.45%, and its pseudo-first-order reaction rate constant is 0.01878 min-1, which surpasses those of AgNbO3, Bi2MoO6, and AgNbO3/Bi2MoO6 by factors of 14.22, 2.46, and 1.35, respectively. At the same time, the AgNbO3/Bi2MoO6/PANI photocatalyst still showed good stability after three cycles. The results demonstrated that the augmented photocatalytic performance of AgNbO3/Bi2MoO6/PANI can be attributed to the formation of a double Z-scheme heterojunction and the incorporation of PANI with excellent conductivity, resulting in the higher efficiency of migration of charge carriers while retaining strong redox ability. This work affords a high-efficiency and environmentally friendly reference for the development of a Bi2MoO6-based heterojunction photocatalyst and its application in the purification of antibiotics in water.

RESUMEN

Addressing the challenge of sustainable agricultural processing waste management is crucial. Protein sources are essential for livestock farming, and one viable solution is the microbial fermentation of agricultural by-products. In this study, the microorganisms utilized for fermentation were Pichia fermentans PFZS and Limmosilactobacillus fermentum LFZS. The results demonstrated that the fermented corn gluten meal-bran mixture (FCBM) effectively degraded high molecular weight proteins, resulting in increases of approximately 23.3%, 367.6%, and 159.3% in crude protein (CP), trichloroacetic acid-soluble protein (TCA-SP), and free amino acid (FAA), respectively. Additionally, there was a significant enhancement in the content of beneficial metabolites, including total phenols, carotenoids, and microorganisms. FCBM also effectively reduced anti-nutritional factors while boosting antioxidant and anti-inflammatory substances, such as dipeptides and tripeptides. The fermentation process was marked by an increase in beneficial endophytes, which was closely correlated with the enhancement of beneficial metabolites. Overall, FCBM provides a theoretical basis for substituting traditional protein resources in animal husbandry.

RESUMEN

The development of photothermal agents (PTAs) with robust photostability and high photothermal conversion efficiency is of great importance for cancer photothermal therapy. Herein, a novel PTA was created using two-dimensional intermetallic PtSnBi nanoplates (NPs), which demonstrated excellent photostability and biocompatibility with a high photothermal conversion efficiency of ∼61 % after PEGylation. More importantly, PtSnBi NPs could be employed as photoacoustic imaging contrast agents for tumor visualization due to their strong absorbance in the NIR range. In addition, both in vitro and in vivo experiments confirmed that PtSnBi NPs had a good photothermal efficacy under NIR laser irradiation. Therefore, the remarkable therapeutic characteristics of PtSnBi NPs make them a most promising candidate for cancer theranostics.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a significant public health issue among married rural-to-urban migrant workers, the largest group of internal migrants in China. This study aims to explore the prevalence, patterns and associated factors of intimate partner violence against married rural-to-urban migrant workers in eastern China. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Zhejiang province in China between July 2015 and April 2016, and a total of 1,744 married rural-to-urban migrant workers ultimately took part in the study. Conflict Tactics Scales and several short demographic questions were applied. Data were principally analyzed with logistic regression. RESULTS: The majority of married rural-to-urban migrant workers were middle-aged couples with a low education level and a relatively long-term duration of migration in fixed migrant cities. Nearly 45% of married rural-to-urban migrant workers were experienced at least one incident of intimate partner violence during the past 12 months. The joint occurrence of multiple forms of violence is the most commonly reported features of intimate partner violence, especially three overlapping patterns of intimate partner violence. Some individual (education and age), relationship (marital satisfaction, premarital sex and extramarital affairs) and social (duration of migration and number of migratory cities) factors of the respondents, were negatively or positively associated with intimate partner violence against married rural-to-urban migrant workers. CONCLUSION: The results indicated that one out of two married rural-to-urban migrant workers experienced at least one incident of intimate partner violence during the past 12 months in China. Accordingly, there is an obvious demand of intervention and treatment activities to prevent and reduce the occurrence of intimate partner violence among the millions of migrant workers in China.

RESUMEN

Corn gluten meal-corn husk mixes (CCM) are an inexpensive and readily available agricultural by-product. This study explores a novel technique by converting CCM into high-value livestock feed protein sources through fermentation with Aspergillus niger AAX and Lactobacillus fermentum LLS, aiming to sustainably meet future global protein needs. The process of fermentation significantly altered the structural composition of high molecular weight proteins, zein, and dietary fibers. This transformation resulted in a marked elevation in the concentrations of peptides, free amino acids, and polyphenols. The acidic environment produced during fermentation prevented lipid oxidation in CCM, thereby extending its storability. After fermentation, the content of anti-nutritional factors decreased, while its antioxidant capacity increased. In vitro simulated digestion suggested that fermentation improved the digestibility of CCM protein. In vivo animal experiments showed that fermented CCM (FCCM) promoted growth and gut health in chicks. This study provides new insights into the utilization of CCM.

RESUMEN

Objective: To explore the characteristics of lower limb postural stability in undergraduates with moderate myopia in three different visual states. Methods: Twenty male undergraduate students were recruited to complete respectively the static and dynamic postural stability tests under eyes-closed, myopia (taking off their glasses immediately) and corrected vision conditions. A three-dimensional force platform (Bertec, United States) was used to test static postural stability, which calculated the total path length of the Center of Pressure (COP), path length in the antero-posterior (A/P) and medio-lateral (M/L) directions, COP area, SampleEntropy (SampEn), and low-, medium-, and high-frequency spectrum energies. Dynamic postural stability was tested using the Y-balance test, and the Y-balance test scores were calculated. The Vicon three-dimensional motion capture system (Oxford, United Kingdom) measured the maximum flexion angles of the ankle, knee, and hip joints. The electromyography (EMG) root mean square (RMS) and integral EMG (iEMG) of the tibialis anterior and lateral gastrocnemius of the lower extremity were simultaneously measured using wireless surface electromyography (Noraxon, United States). Results: The SampEn-A/P and SampEn-M/L of corrected vision state higher than myopia and eyes-closed states, and myopia state larger than eyes-closed state (χ2 = 51.631, p < .001). The original and standard scores of the anterior, postero-medial and comprehensive values of the three visual states had significant differences (F = 32.125, p < .001). The original and standard values of postero-lateral corrected vision and myopia were larger than those of eyes-closed states (F = 37.972, p < .001). The maximum flexion angles of the ankle and knee joints were in the following order: corrected vision, myopia and eyes-closed (F = 10.93, p < .001). The iEMG and RMS had significant differences in the three different states (χ2 = 12.700, p < .001) in the all directions of YBT. Conclusion: Compared with corrected vision, the stability of static posture in the state of myopia was decreased, and the postural regularity was more regular. The dynamic postural stability in the state of myopia was also lower than that corrected vision, and the activation and work of ankle muscles were also increased.

RESUMEN

Entrepreneurs face more pressure and challenges than ordinary workers, which has a serious impact on their physical and mental health. Therefore, the research focus has gradually shifted from objective indicators of entrepreneurial performance to exploration of entrepreneurs' subjective well-being. However, previous studies were often limited to a net effect analysis of a single dimension under symmetric thinking in quantitative research. Therefore, this study uses fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to analyze the configuration path of entrepreneurs' physical and mental health at the individual level, social capital at the collective level, and subjective well-being from the perspective of configuration. The sample was of 279 effective entrepreneurs from the 2017 China General Social Survey (CGSS). Four types of entrepreneurs were found to improve their high well-being profiles: optimistic efficiency-driven, trust efficiency-driven, strong psychology-driven, and weak relationship-driven. Research shows that the interaction between physical and mental health and social capital jointly affects the subjective well-being of entrepreneurs. The research findings reinforce the need for attention to the physical and mental health of entrepreneurs, which are conducive to their active participation in social life. Additionally, establishing weak relationship-oriented interpersonal networks and accumulating social resources to further achieve higher subjective well-being is required.

RESUMEN

COVID-19 has made the entire society pay more attention to medical students training. Medicine development is inseparable from the spirit of innovation, focusing on cultivating medical students' innovative awareness and improving entrepreneurship education performance, which has an irreplaceable effect on both the students themselves and the society. This study is based on the ridge regression model to study the driving factors of the entrepreneurship education performance of medical students. Compared with traditional multiple regression, it can improve the consistency of parameter estimation and obtain more realistic results. Based on a large sample of empirical survey data of 24,677 medical students in China, this study analyzed the driving factors of the entrepreneurship education performance of medical students and found that medical students of different genders have differences in entrepreneurship education performance; the digital economy impacts entrepreneurship education performance of medical students; entrepreneurship course, entrepreneurship faculty, entrepreneurship competition, entrepreneurship practice, and entrepreneurship policy have a driving effect on the entrepreneurship education performance of medical students. Meanwhile, the impact of entrepreneurship policy is the most obvious, followed by entrepreneurship practice and entrepreneurship competition, followed by entrepreneurship course and entrepreneurship faculty.

RESUMEN

This paper explores the impact of different types of social entrepreneurship education cultivation models on students' opinion on social entrepreneurship, defines and classifies the emerging social entrepreneurship cultivation models in colleges and universities, and confirms the performance difference between the teacher-student co-entrepreneurship (TSCE) cultivation model and the traditional cultivation model through quantitative research. Chi-square analysis and the structural equation model are used to verify the following two conclusions: in the process of promoting the acceptance of social entrepreneurship study, the TSCE cultivation model is more effective than the traditional cultivation model; and the collaborative co-entrepreneurship cultivation model is more conducive to the deepening of practical learning than the employment co-entrepreneurship cultivation model. The research results will help colleges and universities to redesign the training process of social entrepreneurship skills, and then provide help for college students to achieve more adequate entrepreneurial preparation.
