AIM: Periodontitis is caused by dysbiosis of oral microbes and is associated with increased cognitive decline in Alzheimer's disease (AD), and recently, a potential functional link was proposed between oral microbes and AD. We compared the oral microbiomes of patients with or without AD to evaluate the association between oral microbes and AD in periodontitis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Periodontitis patients with AD (n = 15) and cognitively unimpaired periodontitis patients (CU) (n = 14) were recruited for this study. Each patient underwent an oral examination and neuropsychological evaluation. Buccal, supragingival and subgingival plaque samples were collected, and microbiomes were analysed by next-generation sequencing. Alpha diversity, beta diversity, linear discriminant analysis effect size, analysis of variance-like differential expression analysis and network analysis were used to compare group oral microbiomes. RESULTS: All 29 participants had moderate to severe periodontitis. Group buccal and supragingival samples were indistinguishable, but subgingival samples demonstrated significant alpha and beta diversity differences. Differential analysis showed subgingival samples of the AD group had higher prevalence of Atopobium rimae, Dialister pneumosintes, Olsenella sp. HMT 807, Saccharibacteria (TM7) sp. HMT 348 and several species of Prevotella than the CU group. Furthermore, subgingival microbiome network analysis revealed a distinct, closely connected network in the AD group comprised of various Prevotella spp. and several anaerobic bacteria. CONCLUSIONS: A unique microbial composition was discovered in the subgingival region in the AD group. Specifically, potential periodontal pathogens were found to be more prevalent in the subgingival plaque samples of the AD group. These bacteria may possess a potential to worsen periodontitis and other systemic diseases. We recommend that AD patients receive regular, careful dental check-ups to ensure proper oral hygiene management.

We aimed to examine the association between the use of specific types of dietary supplements and frailty using cross-sectional, nationally representative survey data. Adults aged ≥50 years in the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2018-2020 were included. We calculated a 46-item frailty index to assess frailty. In total, 27,384 older adults were included (mean age: 62.47 years; median frailty index: 0.12). Among them, 72% used at least one dietary supplement. The prevalence of dietary supplement use was higher among women than among men and in participants with higher socioeconomic status. Compared to non-users, users of dietary supplements had a healthier diet and nutrient intake, and lower levels of frailty. After adjusting for socioeconomic and dietary factors, users of vitamin C, red ginseng or calcium were found to be significantly less frail. Our findings indicate promising results concerning dietary supplement intake in managing frailty among older Korean adults.

Activin A, a member of the TGF-ß superfamily, is a homodimer of the inhibin ßΑ subunit that plays a diversity of roles in biological processes. Because of its multiple functions, significant efforts have been made to produce activin A, however, unsatisfactory results were obtained due to its low level of expression. In this study, a stable CHO cell line exhibiting high expression of rhActivin A was isolated and production of rhActivin A was achieved using the cell line from 11-day fed-batch cultures in a 7.5 L bioreactor. The production rate was 0.22 g/L, substantially higher than those reported in previous studies. The culture supernatant of the bioreactor was used to purify rhActivin A (purity: >99%, recovery rate: 47%). The purified rhActivin A exhibited biological activity, with an EC50 of 3.893 ng/mL and a specific activity of 1.38 × 103 IU/mg. The control of process-related impurities in the purified rhActivin A was successful and met the USP recommendations for use in cell therapy. Thus, our production and purification methods were appropriate for large-scale GMP-grade rhActivin A production, which can be used for various purposes including cell therapy.

Industrial cities are hotspots for many hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), which are detrimental to human health. We devised an identification method to determine priority HAP monitoring areas using a comprehensive approach involving monitoring, modeling, and demographics. The methodology to identify the priority HAP monitoring area consists of two parts: (1) mapping the spatial distribution of selected categories relevant to the target pollutant and (2) integrating the distribution maps of various categories and subsequent scoring. The identification method was applied in Ulsan, the largest industrial city in South Korea, to identify priority HAP monitoring areas. Four categories related to HAPs were used in the method: (1) concentrations of HAPs, (2) amount of HAP emissions, (3) the contribution of industrial activities, and (4) population density in the city. This method can be used to select priority HAP monitoring areas for intensive monitoring campaigns, cohort studies, and epidemiological studies.

Hypertension remains a significant global health concern, contributing significantly to cardiovascular diseases and mortality rates. The inhibition of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) plays a crucial role in alleviating high blood pressure. We investigated the potential of finger millets (Eleusine coracana) as a natural remedy for hypertension by isolating and characterizing its ACE-inhibitory compound. First, we evaluated the ACE-inhibitory activity of the finger millet ethanol extract and subsequently proceeded with solvent fractionation. Among the solvent fractions, the ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the highest ACE inhibitory activity and was further fractionated. Using preparative high-performance liquid chromatography, the ethyl acetate fraction was separated into four subfractions, with fraction 2 (F2) exhibiting the highest ACE inhibitory activity. Subsequent 1 H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and 13 C-NMR analyses confirmed that the isolated compound from F2 was catechin. Furthermore, molecular docking studies indicated that catechin has the potential to act as an ACE inhibitor. These findings suggest that finger millets, particularly as a source of catechin, have the potential to be used as a natural antihypertensive.

Several preclinical studies demonstrate that antitumor efficacy of programmed cell death-1 (PD-1)/programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) blockade can be improved by combination with other checkpoint inhibitors. Lymphocyte-activation gene 3 (LAG-3) is an inhibitory checkpoint receptor involved in T cell exhaustion and tumor immune escape. Here, we describe ABL501, a bispecific antibody targeting LAG-3 and PD-L1 in modulating immune cell responses against tumors. ABL501 that efficiently inhibits both LAG-3 and PD-L1 pathways enhances the activation of effector CD4+ and CD8+ T cells with a higher degree than a combination of single anti-LAG-3 and anti-PD-L1. The augmented effector T cell responses by ABL501 resulted in mitigating regulatory-T-cell-mediated immunosuppression. Mechanistically, the simultaneous binding of ABL501 to LAG-3 and PD-L1 promotes dendritic cell (DC) activation and tumor cell conjugation with T cells that subsequently mounts effective CD8+ T cell responses. ABL501 demonstrates its potent in vivo antitumor efficacy in a humanized xenograft model and with knockin mice expressing human orthologs. The immune profiling analysis of peripheral blood reveals an increased abundance of LAG-3hiPD-1hi memory CD4+ T cell subset in relapsed cholangiocarcinoma patients after gemcitabine plus cisplatin therapy, which are more responsive to ABL501. This study supports the clinical evaluation of ABL501 as a novel cancer immunotherapeutic, and a first-in-human trial has started (NCT05101109).

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to profile differentially expressed (DE) exosomal RNAs in healthy subjects and periodontitis patients and compare their levels before and after treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Plasma samples from healthy subjects and patients with periodontitis (pre-/post-periodontal treatment) were collected for this case-control study. After isolation of exosomes from the plasma, the RNA was extracted and small RNA sequencing was performed (3 healthy samples, 4 pre-treatment samples, and 5 post-treatment samples). Two-way analyses were conducted according to the treatment status in the periodontitis group, unpaired analysis (grouping as pre-/post-treatment) and paired analysis (matching pre- and post-treatment in the same subject). The DE exosomal RNAs were screened by sequencing and visualized using the R software. Gene Ontology analysis was performed, and target genes were identified. RESULTS: In both paired and unpaired analyses, two DE microRNAs (DEmiRs; miR-1304-3p and miR-200c-3p) and two DE small nucleolar RNAs (DEsnoRs; SNORD57 and SNODB1771) were common, and they were found to be downregulated during periodontitis and recovered to healthy levels after treatment. The top three target genes (NR3C1, GPR158, and CNN3) commonly regulated by DEmiRs were identified. CONCLUSIONS: Plasma-derived exosomal miRs (miR-1304-3p and miR-200c-3p) and snoRs (SNORD57 and SNODB1771) could be valuable biomarkers for periodontitis.

To the best of our knowledge, few studies have utilized cold plasma to improve soybean protein extraction yield and the functional properties of soybean protein. In this study, we aimed to assess the benefits of remote plasma treatments on soybean with respect to the utilization of soybean protein. This study involved two different sample forms (whole and crushed beans), two different plasma chemistry modes (ozone and nitrogen oxides [NOx = NO + NO2]), and a novel pressure-swing reactor. Crushed soybeans were significantly affected by NOx-mode plasma treatment. Crushed soybeans treated with NOx-mode plasma had the best outcomes, wherein the protein extraction yield increased from 31.64% in the control to 37.90% after plasma treatment. The water binding capacity (205.50%) and oil absorption capacity (267.67%) of plasma-treated soybeans increased to 190.88% and 246.23 % of the control, respectively. The emulsifying activity and emulsion stability slightly increased compared to those of the control. The secondary structure and surface hydrophobicity were altered. The remote plasma treatment of crushed soybeans increased soybean protein extraction yield compared to plasma-treated whole beans as well as untreated beans and altered the structural and physicochemical properties of soybean proteins.

Peanut shells, rich in antioxidants, remain underutilized due to limited research. The present study investigated the changes in the functional compound content and skin aging-related enzyme inhibitory activities of peanut shells by electron-beam treatment with different sample states and irradiation doses. In addition, phenolic compounds in the peanut shells were identified and quantified using ultra-performance liquid chromatography with ion mobility mass spectrometry-quadrupole time-of-flight and high-performance liquid chromatography with a photodiode array detector, respectively. Total phenolic compound content in solid treatment gradually increased from 110.31 to 189.03 mg gallic acid equivalent/g as the irradiation dose increased. Additionally, electron-beam irradiation significantly increased 5,7-dihydroxychrome, eriodictyol, and luteolin content in the solid treatment compared to the control. However, liquid treatment was less effective in terms of functional compound content compared to the solid treatment. The enhanced functional compound content in the solid treatment clearly augmented the antioxidant activity of the peanut shells irradiated with an electron-beam. Similarly, electron-beam irradiation substantially increased collagenase and elastase inhibitory activities in the solid treatment. Mutagenicity assay confirmed the stability of toxicity associated with the electron-beam irradiation. In conclusion, electron-beam-irradiated peanut shells could serve as an important by-product with potential applications in functional cosmetic materials.

PURPOSE: To investigate the feasibility and safety of a modified surgical drain-guided percutaneous catheter drainage technique for postoperative fluid collection in inaccessible locations. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The modified technique was used in 24 patients (age, 58.6 years ± 11.3; men, 58.3%) from September 2015 to March 2021. All fluid collections had no safe access route on preprocedural computed tomography (CT) images. Every patient had a long (>20 cm) and tortuous surgical drain, which prevented the use of conventional surgical drain exchange. A favorable midpoint of the surgical drain tract was punctured under either ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance, and a guide wire was advanced into the fluid collection. Technical success was defined as the successful placement of a drainage catheter, and clinical success was defined as the complete evacuation of fluid collection without recurrence. Follow-up was performed using CT images and a chart review. Adverse events within 30 days of the procedure were evaluated. RESULTS: Target fluid collections in the pelvic cavity (n = 9); subphrenic (n = 7), peripancreatic (n = 4), and subhepatic spaces (n = 3); and abdominal cavity (n = 1) were drained using catheters measuring 7-10.2 F in diameter and 25-30 cm in length. The technical success rate was 91.7% (22/24), and the clinical success rate was 90.9% (20/22). No procedure-related or catheter-related adverse events were observed. The median follow-up period was 8.2 months (range, 10-1,721 days). CONCLUSIONS: The modified surgical drain-guided percutaneous catheter drainage technique is a useful alternative when conventional exchange techniques cannot be used because of long and tortuous surgical drain paths.

BACKGROUND: Previous research has suggested that poor oral health is positively associated with frailty. The objective of this study was to explore associations of key oral diseases (periodontal disease, tooth loss), and oral hygiene and management behaviors with the level of frailty in community-dwelling older Korean adults using national representative survey data. METHODS: This study used cross-sectional, 6th and 7th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VI, VII) data. Adults aged 50+ years were included. Frailty was measured using frailty phenotype (FP) and frailty index (FI). FP was determined using five frailty criteria, i.e., weight loss, weakness, exhaustion, slowness, or low physical activity, and the level of frailty was classified with the number of criteria present (robust, none; pre-frail, 1-2; frail, 3+). FI was determined using a 44-item FI constructed according to a standard protocol, and the level of frailty was classified as robust (FI: ≤ 0.08), pre-frail (FI: 0.08-0.25), and frail (FI: ≥ 0.25). Multiple ordinal regression analyses were conducted with each type of frailty as the outcome variable. Independent variables of interest were the periodontal status, number of teeth, and practices on oral hygiene and management. Analyses were additionally adjusted for participants' socioeconomic, diet, and behavioral characteristics. RESULTS: The prevalence of frailty was 4.38% according to the FP classification (n = 4156), 10.74% according to the FI classification (n = 15,073). In the final adjusted model, having more teeth and brushing after all three meals were significantly associated with lower odds of being more frail (in both frailty models); no significant association was observed between periodontal disease and frailty. CONCLUSIONS: Findings from this study show having more teeth and practicing adequate brushing are significantly associated with frailty. Due to limitations of the study design, well-designed longitudinal studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is linked to the aberrant self-assembly of the amyloid protein, α-synuclein (αS), where αS monomers aggregate to form oligomers and fibrils. Out of the three conformers, αS oligomers are the major toxic agents in PD, while αS fibrils may work as a reservoir for toxic oligomeric conformers. Thus, compounds that inhibit aggregation of αS monomers and disaggregate αS oligomers and fibrils may serve as therapeutic agents against PD. In this regard, resveratrol and its synthetic derivatives (e.g., AM17, which contains a copper ion-selective ionophoric motif) have previously been examined for their inhibitory effects on aggregation of amyloid proteins, such as the ß-amyloid peptide implicated in Alzheimer's disease. In the current study, we employed an array of experimental tools, such as Thioflavin T fluorescence, transmission electron microscopy, immuno-dot blot assays, SDS- and native-PAGE, and circular dichroism, to determine the impact of AM17 and resveratrol on αS aggregation. To the best of our knowledge, we show for the first time that AM17 not only inhibits aggregation of αS monomers but also disaggregates αS oligomers and fibrils, independent of the copper ions. Similar αS aggregation inhibitory effects were observed with resveratrol only in the presence of the copper ion. The present study supports the high promise of applicability of AM17 as an effective amyloid aggregation inhibitor for various conformers and protein sequences.

Mitochondrial quality control maintains mitochondrial function by regulating mitochondrial dynamics and mitophagy. Despite the identification of mitochondrial quality control factors, little is known about the crucial regulators coordinating both mitochondrial fission and mitophagy. Through a cell-based functional screening assay, FK506 binding protein 8 (FKBP8) was identified to target microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3) to the mitochondria and to change mitochondrial morphology. Microscopy analysis revealed that the formation of tubular and enlarged mitochondria was observed in FKBP8 knockdown HeLa cells and the cortex of Fkbp8 heterozygote-knockout mouse embryos. Under iron depletion-induced stress, FKBP8 was recruited to the site of mitochondrial division through budding and colocalized with LC3. FKBP8 was also found to be required for mitochondrial fragmentation and mitophagy under hypoxic stress. Conversely, FKBP8 overexpression induced mitochondrial fragmentation in HeLa cells, human fibroblasts and mouse embryo fibroblasts (MEFs), and this fragmentation occurred in Drp1 knockout MEF cells, FIP200 knockout HeLa cells and BNIP3/NIX double knockout HeLa cells, but not in Opa1 knockout MEFs. Interestingly, we found an LIR motif-like sequence (LIRL), as well as an LIR motif, at the N-terminus of FKBP8 and LIRL was essential for both inducing mitochondrial fragmentation and binding of FKBP8 to OPA1. Together, we suggest that FKBP8 plays an essential role in mitochondrial fragmentation through LIRL during mitophagy and this activity of FKBP8 together with LIR is required for mitophagy under stress conditions.

African swine fever (ASF) is a highly infectious disease of pigs caused by African swine fever virus (ASFV). In order to identify potential genetic variations among ASFV strains circulating in Vietnam, 26 ASFV isolates from organs and blood samples collected from domestic pigs from 23 different provinces of northern, central and southern Vietnam during 2019-2020 ASF outbreaks were genetically characterized. Nucleotide sequences were determined for a portion of the B646L (p72) gene, the complete E183L (p54) gene, the variable region of EP402R (CD2v), the central variable region (CVR) of pB602L, and a tandem repeat sequence (TRS) between the I73R and I329L genes. Analysis of the partial B646L (p72) and EP402R (CD2v) gene sequences and the full-length E183L (p54) gene sequence showed that all 26 ASFV isolates belonged to genotype II and serotype VIII and that they were identical to the strain Georgia/2007/1 and all ASFV strains sequenced in China. The TRS between the I73R and I329L genes contained a 10-nucleotide insertion that was observed in the Chinese ASFV strain CN201801 isolated from domestic pigs in 2018, but not in the Georgia/2007/1 and China/Jilin/2018/boar strains isolated from wild boar in China. This is the first intra-epidemic genome analysis reported for the ASFV strains circulating in Vietnam.

AIM: The aim of this study was to propose biomarker candidates for periodontitis via untargeted metabolomics analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Metabolic profiling was performed using saliva samples from 92 healthy controls (H) and 129 periodontitis patients (P) in the discovery cohort using proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Random forest was applied to identify metabolites that significantly differentiated the control group from the periodontitis group. Candidate metabolites were then validated in an independent validation cohort. RESULTS: In the discovery set, the metabolic profiles of the P group were clearly separated from those of the H group. A total of 31 metabolites were identified in saliva, and 7 metabolites were selected as candidate biomarkers. These metabolites were further confirmed in the validation set. Ethanol, taurine, isovalerate, butyrate, and glucose were finally confirmed as biomarkers. Furthermore, the biomarker panel showed more than 0.9 of the area under curve value in both discovery and validation sets, indicating that panels were more effective than individual metabolites for diagnosing periodontitis. CONCLUSIONS: We identified five metabolite biomarkers that discriminated patients with periodontitis from healthy controls in two independent cohorts. These biomarkers have the potential for periodontal screening, detection of periodontitis, and monitoring of the outcome of periodontal therapy.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinical feasibility of high-resolution contrast-enhanced dynamic T1-weighted imaging (T1WI) using compressed sensing (CS) in magnetic resonance imaging. METHODS: This study retrospectively included 35 patients who underwent dynamic T1WI using volumetric interpolated breath-hold examination (VIBE) with CS reconstruction (CS-VIBE) and 35 patients with conventional VIBE for comparison. Two observers assessed the liver and pancreas edges, hepatic artery, motion artifacts, and overall image quality. Quantitative analysis was performed by measuring signal intensity and image noise. RESULTS: The results showed that CS-VIBE achieved significantly better anatomic delineation of the liver and pancreas edges and hepatic artery clarity than VIBE (P < 0.001). There were no significant differences in motion artifacts in dynamic phases and overall image quality. The signal intensities and INs of CS-VIBE were higher than VIBE. CONCLUSIONS: High-resolution dynamic T1WI using CS provides better anatomic delineation with comparable or better overall image quality than conventional VIBE.

BACKGROUND: The rationale behind left renal vein division (LRVD) is the assumption that adequate collateral draining channels will develop. PURPOSE: To describe computed tomography (CT) findings after LRVD during aortic surgery. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Among 61 consecutive patients who underwent LRVD during aneurysm repair or revascularization for aortic occlusive disease between January 2003 and December 2017, 51 patients (40 men, mean age 71.4 ± 8.4 years) were enrolled. Contrast-enhanced CT images were analyzed to evaluate collateral drainage, patency, left renal vein diameter, and left renal parenchymal thickness. A total of 115 radiologic reports were reviewed to check whether these findings were accurately mentioned. RESULTS: The median time period of the first postoperative follow-up CT was 36 days (range 7-1351 days). The gonadal vein (n = 47) was the most common collateral draining channel, followed by the retroperitoneal veins (n = 42) and adrenal vein (n = 33). Thrombosis occurred in five patients between postoperative days 7 and 17 in the remnant renal vein (n = 3), remnant renal vein plus gonadal and adrenal veins (n = 1), and gonadal vein (n = 1). There was a significant decrease in renal vein diameter (-0.48 ± 2.12 mm, P = 0.006). There was no significant difference in parenchymal thickness (-0.25 ± 1.27 mm, P = 0.193). Neither LRVD nor any associated findings were correctly stated on radiologic reports. CONCLUSION: Postoperative contrast-enhanced CT can delineate collateral draining channels and complications following LRVD. However, these findings tend to be either missed or misinterpreted.

Memory deterioration in Alzheimer's disease (AD) is thought to be underpinned by aberrant amyloid ß (Aß) accumulation, which contributes to synaptic plasticity impairment. Avenanthramide-C (Avn-C), a polyphenol compound found predominantly in oats, has a range of biological properties. Herein, we performed methanolic extraction of the Avns-rich fraction (Fr. 2) from germinated oats using column chromatography, and examined the effects of Avn-C on synaptic correlates of memory in a mouse model of AD. Avn-C was identified in Fr. 2 based on 1H-NMR analysis. Electrophysiological recordings were performed to examine the effects of Avn-C on the hippocampal long-term potentiation (LTP) in a Tg2576 mouse model of AD. Avn-C from germinated oats restored impaired LTP in Tg2576 mouse hippocampal slices. Furthermore, Avn-C-facilitated LTP was associated with changes in the protein levels of phospho-glycogen synthase kinase-3ß (p-GSK3ß-S9) and cleaved caspase 3, which are involved in Aß-induced synaptic impairment. Our findings suggest that the Avn-C extract from germinated oats may be beneficial for AD-related synaptic plasticity impairment and memory decline.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Interleukin (IL)-1 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α are inflammatory cytokines that play an important role in periodontitis, and their genetic variations have been suggested to be associated with increased risk of periodontitis. Focusing on three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of IL-1α + 4845, IL-1ß + 3954, and TNF-α -863, we aimed to investigate the relationship between periodontitis risk and the polymorphisms of IL-1 α/ß and TNF-α in Koreans. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Mouthwash samples from 548 subjects (135 controls without periodontitis, 387 generalized chronic periodontitis patients, and 26 generalized aggressive periodontitis patients) were collected for isolation of genomic DNA. Genotyping of selected SNPs was performed using real-time PCR. Univariable associations between the polymorphisms and periodontitis were assessed by chi-squared test or Fisher's exact test. To evaluate the association after controlling for confounding effects of various risk factors, we stratified the subjects according to the presence or absence of self-reported diseases and employed multiple logistic regression model to adjust for age, smoking status, and oral hygiene indices and behaviors. RESULTS: Significant association of IL-1ß + 3954 and TNF-α -863 polymorphisms with periodontitis was observed after adjusting for the confounding risk factors, but not in univariable association analysis. The significant association between genotype CT of IL-1ß + 3954 and increased risk of advanced periodontitis was consistently detected regardless of the status of self-reported diseases. In the polymorphism of TNF-α -863, the genotype with minor allele (CA + AA) was significantly associated with periodontitis susceptibility, which was observed only in the subjects with self-reported diseases. CONCLUSION: The results suggest that genetic variations of IL-1ß + 3954 and TNF-α -863 are associated with increased risk of periodontitis in Koreans. In addition, our findings underscore the importance of controlling for confounding risk factors to detect significant association between genetic factors and risk of periodontitis. A further well-designed large-scale study is needed to warrant our results.

Chromatic confocal microscopy (CCM) has been intensively developed because it can exhibit effective focal position scanning based on the axial chromatic aberration of broadband light reflected from a target. To improve the imaging speed of three-dimensional (3D) surface profiling, we have proposed the novel concept of swept-source-based CCM (SS-CCM) and investigated the usefulness of the corresponding imaging system. Compared to conventional CCM based on a broadband light source and a spectrometer, a swept-source in the proposed SS-CCM generates light with a narrower linewidth for higher intensity, and a single photodetector employed in the system exhibits a fast and sensitive response by immediately obtaining spectrally encoded depth from a chromatic dispersive lens array. Results of the experiments conducted to test the proposed SS-CCM system indicate that the system exhibits an axial chromatic focal distance range of approximately 360 µm for the 770-820 nm swept wavelength range. Moreover, high-speed surface profiling images of a cover glass and coin were successfully obtained with a short measurement time of 5 ms at a single position.
