RESUMEN

Natural diamonds were (and are) formed (thousands of million years ago) in the upper mantle of Earth in metallic melts at temperatures of 900-1,400 °C and at pressures of 5-6 GPa (refs. 1,2). Diamond is thermodynamically stable under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions as per the phase diagram of carbon3. Scientists at General Electric invented and used a high-pressure and high-temperature apparatus in 1955 to synthesize diamonds by using molten iron sulfide at about 7 GPa and 1,600 °C (refs. 4-6). There is an existing model that diamond can be grown using liquid metals only at both high pressure and high temperature7. Here we describe the growth of diamond crystals and polycrystalline diamond films with no seed particles using liquid metal but at 1 atm pressure and at 1,025 °C, breaking this pattern. Diamond grew in the subsurface of liquid metal composed of gallium, iron, nickel and silicon, by catalytic activation of methane and diffusion of carbon atoms into and within the subsurface regions. We found that the supersaturation of carbon in the liquid metal subsurface leads to the nucleation and growth of diamonds, with Si playing an important part in stabilizing tetravalently bonded carbon clusters that play a part in nucleation. Growth of (metastable) diamond in liquid metal at moderate temperature and 1 atm pressure opens many possibilities for further basic science studies and for the scaling of this type of growth.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) treatment has largely relied on non-specific broad immunosuppressants despite their long-term toxicities until the approval of dupilumab, which blocks IL-4 signaling to target Th2 cell responses. Here, we report the discovery of compound 4aa, a novel compound derived from the structure of chlorophyll a, and the efficacy of chlorophyll a to alleviate AD symptoms by oral administration in human AD patients. 4aa downregulated GATA3 and IL-4 in differentiating Th2 cells by potently blocking IL-4 receptor dimerization. In the murine model, oral administration of 4aa reduced the clinical severity of symptoms and scratching behavior by 76% and 72%, respectively. Notably, the elevated serum levels of Th2 cytokines reduced to levels similar to those in the normal group after oral administration of 4aa. Additionally, the toxicological studies showed favorable safety profiles and good tolerance. In conclusion, 4aa may be applied for novel therapeutic developments for patients with AD.

Overexpression of transglutaminase 2 (TGase 2; TG2) has been implicated in the progression of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) through the inactivation of p53 by forming a protein complex. Because most p53 in RCC has no mutations, apoptosis can be increased by inhibiting the binding between TG2 and p53 to increase the stability of p53. In the present study, a novel TG2 inhibitor was discovered by investigating the structure of 1H-benzo[d]imidazole-4,7-dione as a simpler chemotype based on the amino-1,4-benzoquinone moiety of streptonigrin, a previously reported inhibitor. Through structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies, compound 8j (MD102) was discovered as a potent TG2 inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.35 µM, p53 stabilization effect and anticancer effects in the ACHN and Caki-1 RCC cell lines with sulforhodamine B (SRB) GI50 values of 2.15 µM and 1.98 µM, respectively. The binding property of compound 8j (MD102) with TG2 was confirmed to be reversible in a competitive enzyme assay, and the binding interaction was expected to be formed at the ß-sandwich domain, a p53 binding site, in the SPR binding assay with mutant proteins. The mode of binding of compound 8j (MD102) to the ß-sandwich domain of TG2 was analyzed by molecular docking using the crystal structure of the active conformation of human TG2. Compound 8j (MD102) induced a decrease in the downstream signaling of p-AKT and p-mTOR through the stabilization of p53 by TG2 inhibition, resulting in tumor cell apoptosis. In a xenograft animal model using ACHN cancer cells, oral administration and intraperitoneal injection of compound 8j (MD102) showed an inhibitory effect on tumor growth, confirming increased levels of p53 and decreased levels of Ki-67 in tumor tissues through immunohistochemical (IHC) tissue staining. These results indicated that the inhibition of TG2 by compound 8j (MD102) could enhance p53 stabilization, thereby ultimately showing anticancer effects in RCC. Compound 8j (MD102), a novel TG2 inhibitor, can be further applied for the development of an anticancer candidate drug targeting RCC.

OBJECTIVE: Malnutrition is a common complication in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). We examined whether nutritional status is associated with the preservation of kidney function, using a cohort of typical ADPKD. METHODS: We enrolled ambulatory ADPKD patients in 9 tertiary medical centers in Korea from May 2019 to December 2021. We excluded patients who were aged less than 18 years, who had known end-stage kidney disease at the time of enrollment, who had a diagnosis of atypical ADPKD, and who were Tolvaptan users. The primary outcome was an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) decline >3 mL/min/1.73 m2, based on nutritional status assessed by subjective global assessment (SGA). We also evaluated an eGFR decline >1 mL/min/1.73 m2, an increase in urine protein-creatinine ratio (UPCR) > 0, and an increase in UPCR >0.3 as secondary outcomes, based on SGA after the 1-year follow-up. A logistic regression (LR) model was used to calculate the odds ratio (OR) for the primary outcome. Because there were differences in several baseline variables, such as Mayo classification, serum hemoglobin, serum creatinine, and UPCR between SGA groups, we matched propensity scores. RESULTS: In total, 805 patients were prospectively enrolled. Among them, 236 patients who had 1-year follow-up data and typical imaging findings were analyzed to evaluate the effect of nutritional status on kidney function. SGA was used to assess the nutritional status. The mean age was 45.0 ± 13.3 years, and 49.6% of the patients were female. The mean eGFR was 81.9 mL/min/1.73 m2. Among the 236 patients, 91 (38.6%) experienced a 1-year eGFR decline >3 mL/min/1.73 m2. When a multivariable LR was applied, SGA 3-6 was identified as a significant factor related to a 1-year eGFR decline >3 mL/min/1.73 m2 (adjusted OR = 1.22 [1.04-1.43]; P = .017). Despite matching propensity scores, the 1-year eGFR decline >3 mL/min/1.73 m2 was still higher in the SGA 3-6 group regardless of proteinuria. CONCLUSION: Good nutritional status is associated with better-preserved kidney function in non-obese typical ADPKD patients who do not take Tolvaptan.

Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have emerged as a promising platform for photocatalysts. Their crystalline porous nature allows comprehensive mechanistic studies of photocatalysis, which have revealed that their general photophysical parameters, such as light absorption ability, electronic band structure, and charge separation efficiency, can be conveniently tailored by structural modifications. However, further understanding of the relationship between structure-property-activity is required from the viewpoint of charge-carrier transport, because the charge-carrier property is closely related to alleviation of the excitonic effect. In the present study, COFs composed of a fixed cobalt (Co) porphyrin (Por) centered tetraamine as an acceptor unit with differently conjugated di-carbaldehyde based donor units, such as benzodithiophene (BDT), thienothiophene (TT), or phenyl (TA), were synthesized to form Co-Por-BDT, Co-Por-TT, or Co-Por-TA, respectively. Their photocatalytic activity for reducing carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide was in the order of Co-Por-BDT>Co-Por-TT>Co-Por-TA. The results indicated that the excitonic effect, associated with their charge-carrier densities and π-conjugation lengths, was a significant factor in photocatalysis performance.

Drug discovery programs targeting P2X3 receptors (P2X3R), an extracellular adenosine 5'-triphosphate (ATP) gated cation channel family, have been actively investigated for several CNS-related diseases. The current unmet need in the field of P2X3R targeted drugs is to avoid a side effect, the loss of taste, that could be reduced by increase of the P2X3R selectivity vs P2X2/3R. In this study, 5-methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole derivatives were designed and synthesized from the analysis of key pharmacophores of current antagonists. In the structure-activity relationship study, the most potent compounds 17a-b was discovered as potent P2X3R antagonists with IC50 values of 145 and 206 nM, and selectivity index of 60 and 41, respectively. In addition, 17a-b showed the not-competitive antagonism, but poor binding score in the docking study at the known allosteric binding site of Gefapixant binding site, indicating that another allosteric binding site might be existing for the novel P2X3R antagonists.

JAK inhibitors have been considered as useful targets for the treatment of related diseases. However, first-generation JAK inhibitors have side effects such as anemia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia and headaches which have been suggested to result from high JAK2 inhibition. Second-generation JAK inhibitors with more specific JAK isozyme inhibition have been studied to eliminate these adverse effects. In this study, novel 4-(1,5- or 2,5-triazole)-pyrrolopyrimidine derivatives with aromatic moieties were synthesized as JAK1 inhibitors, and an in vitro enzyme assay was used to evaluate the JAK inhibitory effects. Among these JAK1 inhibitors, the compound 23a showed an IC50 level of 72 nM, as well as being selective against other JAKs by 12 times or more: the results of molecular docking studies suggested that the high JAK1 selectivity resulted from a key interaction between the iodine atom of compound 23a and His-885 of hJAK1.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a serious worldwide health problem causing liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. The development of novel therapeutics targeting distinct steps of the HBV life cycle and combination therapy with approved drugs (i.e., nucleot(s)ides, interferon-α) are considered effective strategies for curing HBV. Among these strategies is the development of entry inhibitors that interfere with the host entry step of HBV to prevent viral infection and transmission. Herein, we generated a novel library of cyclosporin O (CsO) derivatives that incorporate peptoid side chains. Twenty-two CsO derivatives were evaluated for membrane permeability, cytotoxicity, and in vitro HBV entry inhibitory activity. The lead compound (i.e., compound 21) showed the greatest potency in the in vitro HBV entry inhibition assay (IC50 = 0.36 ± 0.01 µM) with minimal cytotoxicity. Our peptide-peptoid hybrid CsO scaffold can readily expand chemical diversity and is applicable for screening various targets requiring macrocyclic chemical entities.

The interleukin-33 (IL-33)/suppression of tumorigenicity 2 (ST2) pathway modulates immune response and inflammation, associated with allograft dysfunction and rejection. We hypothesized that IL-33/ST2 is a marker of renal allograft rejection and IL-33/ST2 expression may differ according to rejection type. IL-33/ST2 expression was measured in sera and kidney tissues from recipients with acute antibody-mediated rejection (AAMR), acute cell-mediated rejection (ACMR), chronic antibody-mediated rejection (CAMR), and healthy controls. The soluble ST2 and IL-33/ST2 expression levels were higher in participants with all three rejection types than in controls. Although the expression levels in recipients with AAMR and ACMR were significantly higher than those with CAMR, there was no significant difference between the expression levels in AAMR and ACMR. Although IL-33, IL-8, and fibronectin expression were significantly increased after the addition of the recipients' serum in primary cultured human renal proximal tubular epithelial cells, the levels decreased after treatment with an anti-ST2 antibody. Furthermore, the anti-ST2 antibody specifically suppressed the upregulation of the mixed lymphocyte reaction. Boyden chamber assays demonstrated that anti-ST2 antibody abrogated chemotaxis induced by recombinant IL-33. Thus, IL-33 and ST2 are potent mediators of rejection. Treatment with an anti-ST2 antibody ameliorates rejection and could be a potential therapeutic strategy for renal allograft rejection.

m6 A RNA methyltransferase (METTL3-14) catalyzes the methylation of adenosine in mRNA and plays important roles in mRNA functions, and it has been implicated in the progression of multiple cancers, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML). In this study, we describe the discovery of the first allosteric inhibitor of the METTL3-14 complex based on structure-activity relationship (SAR) and optimization studies of the hit compound, 4-[2-[5-chloro-1-(diphenylmethyl)-2-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl]-ethoxy]benzoic acid (CDIBA). Compound 43n was optimized throughout the modifications of 4 different regions of the structure, and it displayed potent enzyme inhibitory activity of the METTL3-14 complex (IC50  = 2.81 µM) and an antiproliferative effect in the AML cell lines by suppressing the m6 A level of mRNA. The inhibition mechanism and binding mode of 43n were based on the interaction of the reversible and noncompetitive inhibitory profile at the allosteric site along with selectivity for the METTL3-14 complex relative to each subunit enzyme or truncated complex enzyme.

µ-Opioid receptor (MOR) Gi-biased agonists with no recruitment of ß-arrestin were introduced as a new analgesic strategy to overcome the conventional undesirable side effects of opioid receptor-targeted drugs, such as tolerance, addiction, respiratory depression, and constipation. For the development of novel Gi-biased MOR agonists, the design, synthesis, and structure-activity relationship (SAR) analysis of the aminopyrazole core skeleton were conducted according to the current SAR data of PZM21 (2a) and its derivatives. New derivatives were biologically evaluated for their agonistic effects on cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels for the Gi pathway and ß-arrestin recruitment in MOR/κ-opioid receptor/δ opioid receptor. An optimized selective Gi-biased agonist, Compound 17a, was discovered with potent cAMP inhibitory activities, with a 50% efficacy concentration value of 87.1 nM and no activity in the MOR ß-arrestin pathway and other subtypes. The in vivo pain relief efficacy of Compound 17a was confirmed in a dose-dependent manner with spinal nerve ligation and cisplatin-induced peripheral neuropathy rodent neuropathic pain models.

P2X3 receptors (P2X3R) are ATP-gated ion channels predominantly expressed in C- and Aδ-fiber primary afferent neurons and have been introduced as a novel therapeutic target for neurological disorders, including neuropathic pain and chronic cough. Because of its localized distribution, antagonism of P2X3R has been thoroughly considered, and the avoidance of issues related to CNS side effects has been proven in clinical trials. In this article, benzimidazole-4,7-dione-based derivatives were introduced as a new chemical entity for the development of P2X3R antagonists. Starting from the discovery of a hit compound from the screening of 8364 random library compounds in the Korea Chemical Bank, which had an IC50 value of 1030 nM, studies of structure-activity and structure-property relationships enabled further optimization toward improving the antagonistic activities as well as the drug's physicochemical properties, including metabolic stability. As for the results, the final optimized compound 14h was developed with an IC50 value of 375 nM at P2X3R with more than 23-fold selectivity versus P2X2/3R, along with properties of metabolic stability and improved solubility. In neuropathic pain animal models evoked by either nerve ligation or chemotherapeutics in male Sprague-Dawley rats, compound 14h showed anti-nociceptive effects through an increase in the mechanical withdrawal threshold as measured by von Frey filament following intravenous administration.

Despite its abundance, water is not widely used as a medium for organic reactions. However, under geothermal conditions, water exhibits unique physicochemical properties, such as viscosity and a dielectric constant, and the ionic product become similar to those of common organic solvents. We have synthesized highly crystalline polyimide-based covalent organic frameworks (PICs) under geomimetic hydrothermal conditions. By exploiting triphenylene-2,3,6,7,10,11-hexacarboxylic acid in combination with various aromatic diamines, PICs with various pore dimensions and crystallinities were synthesized. XRD, FT-IR, and DFT calculations revealed that the solubility of the oligomeric intermediates under hydrothermal conditions affected the stacking structures of the crystalline PICs. Furthermore, the synthesized PICs demonstrate promising potential as an anode material in lithium-ion batteries owing to its unique redox-active properties and high surface area.

BACKGROUND: Deep spinal infection is a devastating complication after epidural injection. This study aimed to investigate the incidence of deep spinal infection primarily after outpatient single-shot epidural injection for pain. Secondarily, this study assessed the national trends of the procedure and risk factors for said infection. METHODS: Using South Korea's National Health Insurance Service sample cohort database, the 10-yr national trend of single-shot epidural injections for pain and the incidence rate of deep spinal infection after the procedure with its risk factors were determined. New-onset deep spinal infections were defined as those occurring within 90 days of the most recent outpatient single-shot epidural injection for pain, needing hospitalization for at least 1 night, and receiving at least a 4-week course of antibiotics. RESULTS: The number of outpatient single-shot epidural injections per 1,000 persons in pain practice doubled from 40.8 in 2006 to 84.4 in 2015 in South Korea. Among the 501,509 injections performed between 2007 and 2015, 52 cases of deep spinal infections were detected within 90 days postprocedurally (0.01% per injection). In multivariable analysis, age of 65 yr or more (odds ratio, 2.91; 95% CI, 1.62 to 5.5; P = 0.001), living in a rural area (odds ratio, 2.85; 95% CI, 1.57 to 5.0; P < 0.001), complicated diabetes (odds ratio, 3.18; 95% CI, 1.30 to 6.7; P = 0.005), multiple epidural injections (three times or more) within the previous 90 days (odds ratio, 2.34; 95% CI, 1.22 to 4.2; P = 0.007), and recent use of immunosuppressants (odds ratio, 2.90; 95% CI, 1.00 to 6.7; P = 0.025) were significant risk factors of the infection postprocedurally. CONCLUSIONS: The incidence of deep spinal infection after outpatient single-shot epidural injections for pain is very rare within 90 days of the procedure (0.01%). The data identify high-risk patients and procedure characteristics that may inform healthcare provider decision-making.

BACKGROUND: Inherited cystic kidney disease is a spectrum of disorders in which clusters of renal cysts develop as the result of genetic mutation. The exact methods and pipelines for defining genetic mutations of inherited cystic kidney disease are not clear at this point. This 3-year, prospective, multicenter, cohort study was designed to set up a cohort of Korean patients with inherited cystic kidney disease, establish a customized genetic analysis pipeline for each disease subtype, and identify modifying genes associated with the severity of the disease phenotype. METHODS/DESIGN: From May 2020 to May 2022, we aim to recruit 800 patients and their family members to identify pathogenic mutations. Patients with more than 3 renal cysts in both kidneys are eligible to be enrolled. Cases of simple renal cysts and acquired cystic kidney disease that involve cyst formation as the result of renal failure will be excluded from this study. Demographic, laboratory, and imaging data as well as family pedigree will be collected at baseline. Renal function and changes in total kidney volume will be monitored during the follow-up period. Genetic identification of each case of inherited cystic kidney disease will be performed using a targeted gene panel of cystogenesis-related genes, whole exome sequencing (WES) and/or family segregation studies. Genotype-phenotype correlation analysis will be performed to elucidate the genetic effect on the severity of the disease phenotype. DISCUSSION: This is the first nationwide cohort study on patients with inherited cystic kidney disease in Korea. We will build a multicenter cohort to describe the clinical characteristics of Korean patients with inherited cystic kidney disease, elucidate the genotype of each disease, and demonstrate the genetic effects on the severity of the disease phenotype. TRIAL REGISTRATION: This cohort study was retrospectively registered at the Clinical Research Information Service ( KCT0005580 ) operated by the Korean Center for Disease Control and Prevention on November 5th, 2020.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials have been promoted as an ideal platform for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), as they mitigate the drawbacks of noble metal-based SERS substrates. However, the inferior limit of detection has limited the practical applicability of 2D material-based SERS substrates. Here, we synthesize uniform large-area ReOxSy thin films via solution-phase deposition without post-treatments and demonstrate a graphene/ReOxSy vertical heterostructure as an ultrasensitive SERS platform. The electronic structure of ReOxSy can be modulated by changing the oxygen concentration in the lattice structure, obtaining efficient complementary resonance effects between ReOxSy and the probe molecule. In addition, the oxygen atoms in the ReOxSy lattice generate a dipole moment on the thin-film surface, which increases the electron transition probability. These synergistic effects outstandingly enhance the Raman effect in the ReOxSy thin film. When ReOxSy forms a vertical heterostructure on a graphene as the SERS substrate, the enhanced charge-transfer and exciton resonances improve the limit of detection to the femtomolar level, while achieving remarkable flexibility, reproducibility, and operational stability. Our results provide important insights into 2D material-based ultrasensitive SERS based on chemical mechanisms.

The functionalization of graphene has been extensively used as an effective route for modulating the surface property of graphene, and enhancing the dispersion stability of graphene in aqueous solutions via functionalization has been widely investigated to expand its use for various applications across a range of fields. Herein, an effective approach is described for enhancing the dispersibility of graphene in aqueous solutions at different pH levels via non-covalent zwitterion functionalization. The results show that a surfactant with electron-deficient carbon atoms in its backbone structure and large π-π interactive area enables strong interactions with graphene, and the zwitterionic side terminal groups of the molecule support the dispersibility of graphene in various pH conditions. Experimental and computational studies confirm that perylene diimide amino N-oxide (PDI-NO) allows efficient functionalization and pH-independent dispersion of graphene enabled by hydration repulsion effects induced by PDI-NO. The PDI-NO functionalized graphene is successfully used in the oxygen evolution reaction as an electron mediator for boosting the electrocatalytic activity of a Ru-based polyoxometalate catalyst in an acidic medium. The proposed strategy is expected to bring significant advances in producing highly dispersible graphene in aqueous medium with pH-independent stability, thus broadening the application range of graphene.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the nonadaptive manual system with the position-adaptive system in subjects with permanent spinal cord stimulator (SCS) implantation over a two-year follow-up period. DESIGN: Retrospective study. SETTING: Tertiary university-based national hospital. SUBJECTS: Patients who underwent permanent SCS implantation procedures. METHODS: Patients were divided into an adaptive group and a nonadaptive group according to the type of implanted SCS device. The primary outcome was the change (%) in pain intensity from baseline between the adaptive and nonadaptive groups at 24 months after SCS implantation. The secondary outcomes were comparisons of detailed clinical variables such as the scores of patient pain and satisfaction during the two-year follow-up after SCS therapy. Further, the number of subjects with SCS removal or revision within two years after SCS implantation was investigated. RESULTS: Of 187 patients with permanent SCS implantation, 85 in the nonadaptive group and 64 in the position-adaptive group were finally analyzed. The reduction in pain intensity at 24 months was higher in the adaptive group (-38.6%) than in the nonadaptive group (-30.8%, P = 0.05). Similarly, patient satisfaction with the SCS treatment at 24 months was superior in the adaptive group than in the nonadaptive group (85.7% vs 67.5% were satisfied in each group, respectively, P = 0.024). During the two years, 5.3% of patients (N = 10) underwent SCS removal and 7.0% (N = 13) underwent revision procedures. CONCLUSIONS: There was a trend of a sustained reduction in pain intensity as well as improvement in patient satisfaction at two-year follow-up in the position-adaptive system, suggesting long-term benefit over the nonadaptive manual system during SCS treatment.

(1) Background: The microRNA (miR)-directed control of gene expression is correlated with numerous physiological processes as well as the pathological features of tumors. The focus of this study is on the role of miRs in the regulation of RSU1 and proteins in the IPP (integrin linked kinase, PINCH and parvin) complex. Because the IPP adaptor proteins link ß integrins to actin cytoskeleton, and the RSU1 signaling protein connects the complex to the activation of cJun, ATF2 and the transcription of PTEN, their reduction by miRs has the potential to alter both adhesion and survival signaling. (2) Methods: Multiple database analyses were used to identify miRs that target RSU1 and PINCH1. miR transfection validated the effects of miRs on RSU1, PINCH1 and downstream targets in breast cancer cell lines. (3) Results: The miRs targeting RSU1 mRNA include miR-182-5p, -409-3p, -130a-3p, -221-3p, -744-5p and -106b-5p. Data show that miR-182-5p and -409-3p reduce RSU1, PINCH1 and inhibit the ATF2 activation of PTEN expression. miR-221-3p and miR-130a-3p target RSU1 and PINCH1 and, conversely, RSU1 depletion increases miR-221-3p and miR-130a-3p. (4) Conclusions: miRs targeting RSU1 and PINCH1 in mammary epithelial or luminal breast cancer cell lines reduced RSU1 signaling to p38 MAP kinase and ATF2, inhibiting the expression of PTEN. miR-221-3p, known to target PTEN and cell cycle regulators, also targets RSU1 and PINCH1 in luminal breast cancer cell lines.

This study aimed to develop and validate a sensitive liquid chromatography-coupled tandem mass spectrometry method for the quantification of LDD-2614, an indirubin derivative and novel FLT3 inhibitor, in rat plasma. In addition, the developed analytical method was applied to observe the pharmacokinetic properties of LDD-2614. Chromatographic separation was achieved on a Luna omega C18 column using a mixture of water and acetonitrile, both containing 0.1% formic acid. Quantitation was performed using positive electrospray ionization in a multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. The MRM transitions were optimized as m/z 426.2→113.1 for LDD-2614 and m/z 390.2→113.1 for LDD-2633 (internal standard), and the lower limit of quantification (LLOQ) for LDD-2614 was determined as 0.1 ng/mL. Including the LLOQ, the nine-point calibration curve was linear with a correlation coefficient greater than 0.9991. Inter- and intraday accuracies (RE) ranged from -3.19% to 8.72%, and the precision was within 9.02%. All validation results (accuracy, precision, matrix effect, recovery, stability, and dilution integrity) met the acceptance criteria of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety guidelines. The proposed method was validated and demonstrated to be suitable for the quantification of LDD-2614 for pharmacokinetics studies.
