RESUMEN

The objective was to identify definitions and/or explanations of the term self-management in educative programs that aim its development. The authors also aimed to describe the educative plans and results of the educative programs analyzed. As a methodology we used integrative review, with 15 published articles (2002 the 2007). The inclusion criteria was: the occurrence of the term self-management; the existence of an educative program for the development of self-management; to be related to the area of the health of the adult. Self-management means the improvement or acquisition of abilities to solve problems in biological, social and affective scopes. The review pointed to different educational methodologies. However, it also showed the predominance of traditional methods, with conceptual contents and of physiopathological nature. The learning was evaluated as favorable, with warns in relation to the application in different populations and contexts and to the increase of costs of the educative intervention. It was concluded that research has evidenced the importance of the education for self-management, but lacked in strength for not relating the biopsychosocial demands of the chronic patient and for not describing in detail the teaching and evaluation methodologies employed.

RESUMEN

Objetivou-se identificar as definições e/ou explicações sobre o termo autogerenciamento nos programas educativos que visam este objetivo; descrever seus planos educativos e seus resultados. Revisão integrativa, com 15 artigos publicados (2002 a 2007). Os critérios de inclusão foram: conter o termo autogerenciamento; conter um programa educativo para o autogerenciamento; relacionar-se à área da saúde do adulto. Autogerenciamento significa a melhora ou aquisição de habilidades para solucionar problemas nos âmbitos biológico, social e afetivo. A revisão apontou diferentes metodologias de ensino, porém houve predomínio de métodos tradicionais, com conteúdos conceituais e de natureza fisiopatológica. A aprendizagem foi avaliada como favorável, com advertências quanto à aplicação em diferentes populações e contextos e aumento de custo da intervenção educativa. Concluiu-se que as pesquisas evidenciaram a importância da educação para o autogerenciamento, mas denotaram fragilidade por não relacionarem as demandas biopsicossociais do paciente crônico e por não esclarecerem as metodologias de ensino e avaliação utilizadas detalhadamente.


Objetivou-se para identificar a las definiciones y/o a las explicaciones en la autogestión del término en los programas educativos que tienen como objetivo este objetivo; para describir sus planes educativos y sus resultados. La revisión de Integradora, con 15 publicó los artículos (2002 el 2007). Los criterios de la inclusión habían sido: para contener la autogestión del término; para contener un programa educativo para la autogestión; para llegar a ser relacionado él el área de la salud del adulto. Autogestión significa la mejora o la adquisición de capacidades de solucionar problemas en los alcances biológicos, sociales y afectivos. Las diversas metodologías señaladas revisión de la educación, no obstante tenía predominio de métodos tradicionales, con el contenido conceptual y de la naturaleza del fisiopatológica. El aprendizaje fue evaluado como favorable, con advertencias cuánto al uso en diversas poblaciones y contextos y al aumento del coste de la intervención educativa. Fue concluido que la investigación había evidenciado la importancia de la educación para la autogestión, pero había denotado la fragilidad para no relacionar las demandas de los biopsicosocial del paciente crónico y para con más detalles no aclarar las metodologías de la educación y de la evaluación usadas.
