RESUMEN

Physiological responses of rats to daily 30-minute exposure to distorted geomagnetic field (DGMF) over 3 and 7 days and their reaction to open field following the exposure were studied. Increases in blood 11-oxycorticosteroids (11-OCS) were observed equally after 3- and 7-day DGMF exposure, whereas adrenal 11-OCS was found increased only on DGMF day-3; neither adrenaline in the adrenals nor glycogen in the liver were affected. On DGMF day-7, activation of bone matrix demineralization manifested itself by increased phosphorus and decreased calcium in blood, and activation of acidic phosphatase in serum. Rats reacted to open field by increases in blood and hepatic 11-OCS, reduction in adrenaline in the adrenals and glycogen in the liver, increase in serum free oxyproline and acidic phosphatase activation, and inhibition of alkaline phosphatase. Seven-day DGMF heightened or aggravated the reaction to open field.

RESUMEN

The biochemical data of the researches of the perturbed geomagnetic field influence on the metabolism of the rat's connective tissue by the heating are presented. The possibility of adrenal glands reaction modification under using the perturbed geomagnetic field after high temperature is shown.

RESUMEN

Guinea pigs were subjected for 30 minutes to geomagnetic field of ten times decreased induction. The increase of epinephrine and histamine level in blood was observed. The decrease of histamine and serotonin concentration as well as normalization of epinephrine level were found when the influence of weakened geomagnetic field was stopped. Preliminary 2 Gy X-radiation resulted in the suppressed response of the organism to the weak geomagnetic field.

RESUMEN

The influence of perturbed geomagnetic field (PGMF) on glucocorticoid, epinephrine, hydroxyproline content in intact rats and after intramuscular implantation of demineralized bone matrix and combined (hydroxyapatite/bone meal) samples was investigated. It was found that the exposure of the intact rats to PGMF led to decrease in free and peptide-bound hydroxyproline in plasma. In the rats with hydroxyapatite/bone meal samples placed in ectopic sites the exposure to PGMF normalized hydroxyproline, glucocorticoid and epinephrine content.

RESUMEN

Results are presented of the study of catecholamine system in endogenic depressive patients before and after treatment with sleep deprivation (26 patients) of tricyclic antidepressants (30 patients). Epinephrine, norepinephrine, and DOPA excretion were studied as related to clinical picture of the syndrome (2 groups: melancholic and anesthetic depressions). Sleep deprivation therapy was an effective method, as indicated by both clinical and catecholamine system signs.

RESUMEN

The repeated effect of microwave radiation on guinea pigs was shown to arrest the anaphylactic shock and the related changes in histamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine content in the blood. The long-term adaptation of animals to hypoxia prevented this effect.

RESUMEN

Repeated exposure of guinea pigs to microwave radiation (1 mW/cm2) caused in some animals inhibition of anaphylactic response accompanied by increasing the content of histamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine in the blood. This increase was more pronounced in irradiated guinea pigs died from anaphylactic shock than in nonirradiated animals. The long-term stay in the perturbed and weak geometric field reduced the effect induced by microwave radiation.
