RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: With the continuing impact of the aging population, medical-elderly care integrated institutions, as a way to bear the pressure of medical and elderly care, effectively ensure the quality of life of the elderly in their later years. OBJECTIVES: To explore the preferences of medical-elderly care integrated institutions among Chinese middle-aged and older people and to provide a reference for establishing elderly-oriented development of medical-elderly care integrated institutions. METHODS: In this study, a discrete choice experiment (DCE) was used to investigate the preferences of people aged 45 years and older in medical-elderly care integrated institutions in China from October 20, 2022, to November 10, 2022. A mixed logit regression model was used to analyze the DCE data. Participants' willingness to pay for each attribute was also calculated. RESULTS: Data from 420 participants who provided valid responses were included in the analysis. In terms of the choice preference, moderate service quality (vs. poor service quality: ß = 1.707, p < 0.001, 95% CI 1.343 ~ 2.071) and high medical technology level (vs. low medical technology level: ß = 1.535, p < 0.001, 95% CI 1.240 ~ 1.830) were the most important attributes to middle-aged and older people, followed by monthly cost, environmental facilities, the convenience of transportation, and entertainment activities. Regarding the willingness to pay, participants were more willing to pay for service quality and medical technology level than for other attributes. They were willing to pay $3156 and $2838 more for "poor service quality" and "low medical technology level," respectively, to receive "moderate service quality " (p = 0.007, 95% CI 963 ~ 5349) and "high medical technology level" (p = 0.005, 95% CI 852 ~ 4824). CONCLUSIONS: The state should attach great importance to the development of medical-elderly care integrated services industry, actively optimize the model of the medical-elderly care integrated service, improve the facilities, and create a healthy environment. At the same time, give full play to the role of medical insurance, long-term care insurance, and commercial insurance, so as to improve the comprehensive quality of life of the elderly. PUBLIC CONTRIBUTION: The design of the experimental selection was guided by 10 experts in the field, 5 Chinese government officials, and interviews and focus group discussions, without whose participation this study would not have been possible.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: This study will focus on exploring the clinical characteristics of rectal cancer (RC) patients with Second Primary Malignancies (SPMs) and constructing a prognostic nomogram to provide clinical treatment decisions. METHODS: We determined the association between risk factors and overall survival (OS) while establishing a nomogram to forecast the further OS status of these patients via Cox regression analysis. Finally, we evaluated the performance of the prognostic nomogram to predict further OS status. RESULTS: Nine parameters were identified to establish the prognostic nomogram in this study, and, the C-index of the training set and validation set was 0.691 (95%CI, 0.662-0.720) and 0.731 (95%CI, 0.676-0.786), respectively. The calibration curve showed a high agreement between the predicted and actual results, and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves verified the superiority of our model for clinical usefulness. In addition, the nomogram classification could more precisely differentiate risk subgroups and improved the discrimination of SPMs' prognosis. CONCLUSIONS: We systematically explored the clinical characteristics of SPMs after RC and constructed a satisfactory nomogram.

RESUMEN

Light olefins are abundantly manufactured in the petroleum industry and thus represent ideal starting materials for modern chemical synthesis. Selective and divergent transformations of feedstock light olefins to value-added chemicals are highly sought-after but remain challenging. Herein we report an exceptionally regioselective carbonickelation of light alkenes followed by in situ trapping with three types of nucleophiles, namely a reductant, base, or Grignard reagent. This protocol enables efficient 1,2-hydrofunctionalization, dicarbofunctionalization, and branched-selective Heck-type cross-coupling of light alkenes with aryl and alkenyl reagents to streamline access to diverse alkyl arenes and complex alkenes. Harnessing bulky N-heterocyclic carbene ligands with acenaphthyl backbones for nickel catalysts is crucial to attain high reactivity and selectivity. This strategy provides a rare, modular, and divergent platform for upgrading feedstock alkenes and is expected to find broad applications in medicinal chemistry and industrial processes.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Information on rhabdomyolysis-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) in the emergency department or general ward is limited. AIM: To assess the risk factors, outcomes and clinical correlates with intensive care unit (ICU) transfer of patients with rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI. METHODS: Patients with rhabdomyolysis were divided into the rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI group and the rhabdomyolysis without AKI group. Inhospital outcomes, including ICU transfer, mortality, length of stay, daily cost and renal recovery were analysed. Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify the association between rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI and ICU transfer. RESULTS: Among 149 patients with rhabdomyolysis, 68 (45.6%) developed AKI. Age and urine protein were important risk factors for incidence of rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI. Patients with rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI had higher levels of undergoing dialysis (19.1% vs 2.5%; P < 0.01), all-cause mortality (13.2% vs 1.2%; P < 0.01), cost of hospitalisation (10.8 1000 yuan, IQR (5.5, 3.5) vs 5.9 1000 yuan, IQR 5.9 (3.6, 9.9); P = 0.03), as well as longer length of hospital stay (8.0 days (5.0, 14.0)) versus (6.0 days (4.0, 11.0); P = 0.02). Additionally, the percentage of patients with AKI who transferred to ICU was higher than patients without AKI (33.8% vs 12.3%; P < 0.002) and rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI was an independent risk factor for ICU transfer (adjusted odds ratio = 2.58; 95% confidence interval, 1.12-6.8, P = 0.03). CONCLUSION: Rhabdomyolysis-associated AKI was common in the emergency department or general ward and led to more severe outcomes. It was also associated with an increased risk of ICU transfer.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: Stroma-derived factor-1 (SDF-1) and its receptor C-X-C chemokine receptor-4 (CXCR4) are involved in human endometrial carcinoma (EC) progression. CXCR7 is another important receptor of SDF-1 and has a higher affinity with SDF-1 compared with that of CXCR4. This paper aims to study the effects of the SDF-1/CXCR7 axis on the growth and invasion ability of EC cells. METHODS: CXCR7 expression was evaluated by quantitative RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry and Western blotting in EC cell lines and 30 cases of primary EC tissue from patients. EC cell line proliferation and migration were assessed following knockdown of CXCR7 by MTT and transwell assays. RESULTS: The results showed that CXCR7 was highly expressed at both mRNA and protein levels in the EC cells and tissue. siCXCR7 effectively silenced CXCR7 in Ishikawa and AN3CA cells. Treatment with 17ß-oestradiol (17ß-E2) significantly increased the levels of CXCR7 and SDF-1 in Con, siCon and siCXCR7 treated Ishikawa. siCXCR7 persistently inhibited CXCR7 expression, even in cells treated with 17ß-E2. Moreover, in vitro functional analyses, silencing CXCR7 resulted in decreased proliferation in Ishikawa and AN3CA cells. Treatment with 17ß-E2 and SDF-1 significantly promoted the growth and migration in siCon treated Ishikawa and AN3CA. Interestingly, in response to 17ß-E2 and SDF-1 stimulation, siCXCR7 continuously inhibited the growth and invasion of Ishikawa and AN3CA cells. CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that SDF-1/CXCR7 plays a positive role in the proliferation and invasion of EC cells. CXCR7 inhibition treatment may provide a promising strategy for anti-tumour therapy for EC.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by radical surgery (RS) among patients with locally advanced cervical cancer (LACC). METHODS: Eight hundred patients with LACC received either NACT followed by RS (NACT-RS) or RS alone. The primary outcome measures assessed the efficacy and adverse effects of NACT. Secondary outcome measures compared the preoperative clinical stage to the postoperative pathologic stage in NACT-RS and RS patients, assessed intraoperative and postoperative complications, including the adverse effects of postoperative radiotherapy and radiochemotherapy, and estimated the 5-year progression-free survival and 5-year overall survival. RESULTS: The clinical response to NACT was 89.54%. Patients in the NACT-RS group had lower preoperative hemoglobin levels (115.20 vs 122.04 g/L, P < 0.001), a longer operative time (mean, 233.66 vs 224.37 minutes, P = 0.008), more intraoperative bleeding (750.34 vs 684.41 mL, P = 0.011), a shorter duration of catheter use (mean, 29.84 vs 32.14 days, P = 0.036), and a lower incidence of postoperative complications (7.30% vs 13.62%, P = 0.002) and postoperative radiotherapeutic and radiochemotherapeutic adverse effects (3.16% vs 4.63%, P < 0.001) compared to patients in the RS group. The 5-year progression-free survival and 5-year overall survival were 80.30% and 81.10% in the NACT-RS group and 81.00% and 78.50% in the RS group (P > 0.05). Pathological poor differentiation, nonsquamous cell carcinoma, parametrial invasion, positive pelvic lymph node, and lymphovascular invasion (P < 0.05) were independent risk factors for recurrence. CONCLUSIONS: Neoadjuvant chemotherapy may reduce RS-associated complications and postoperative radiotherapeutic and radiochemotherapeutic adverse effects in Chinese patients with LACC.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To evaluate the use of endoglin-targeted paramagnetic liposomes in delineating the glioma margins using magnetic resonance (MR) angiogenesis imaging in a rat model. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Four liposome preparations, including nontargeted paramagnetic liposomes (Gd-SLs), isotype control IgG-coupled paramagnetic liposomes (IgG-Gd-SLs), endoglin monoclonal antibody coupled paramagnetic liposomes (MAb-Gd-SLs), and biotinylated antibodies (Bio-MAb)/streptavidin-coupled paramagnetic liposomes (SAv-Gd-SLs) for two-step pretargeting imaging, were formulated. All animal experiments were carried out with the approval of the Shanghai Animal Care. C6 glioma-bearing Sprague-Dawley rats were intravenously injected with gadolinium-diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (Gd-DTPA) or the previously mentioned liposomes (n = 5) and imaged with MR. T1 -weighted MRI was performed before and dynamically repeated after different contrast agents were injected. The enhancement features of the tumors were compared. RESULTS: The signal enhancement of the tumor in the two-step pretargeting group increased by 117.9 ± 5.3% at the periphery and 109.2 ± 3.5% in the center (P = 0.032) at the 8-hour timepoint after SAv-Gd-SLs injection. Ring-like enhancement margins were demonstrated at the periphery of the tumor in the two-step targeted group. The specificity of the targeted liposomes was supported by the competitive study. The signal of peak enhancement using MAb-Gd-SLs was 59% less than that of the two-step group and only slightly higher than the non-targeted groups. CONCLUSION: The two-step endoglin-targeted imaging using biotin-streptavidin interaction was demonstrated to induce intense enhancement of the tumor periphery, which implies that this advanced MR molecular contrast agent may be suitable for accurately delineating glioma tumor margins. RESUMEN

Objective: To explore the influence of bully victims on the suicidal tendencies of college students, and the moderating role of teacher emotional support and family support in the relationship between bully victims and college students' suicidal tendencies, in order to provide a reference for the effective intervention of college students' suicide behavior. Methods: Based on a survey of 15,560 college students. Multiple stepwise regression and Interaction analysis explore the impact of the bully victimization on college students' suicidal tendencies and the moderating role of family support and teacher emotional support in the relationship between the bully victim and college students' suicidal tendencies. Results: This study found that the Suicidal Tendencies score of college students was 19.79 points, indicating that some college students have a risk of suicidal tendencies; secondly, verbal bullying (ß = 0.084, P <0.001), physical bullying (ß = 0.222, P <0.001) and social relationship bullying (ß = 0.122, P <0.001) have a positive and significant impact on the suicidal tendencies of college students; in addition, family support and teacher emotional support have a significant regulatory effect on the bully victim and college students Suicidal Tendencies and family support. The regulating effect was significantly higher than that of teacher emotional support. Conclusion: Chinese college students have the risk of suicidal tendencies; peer bullying victimization is an important reason for affecting college students' suicidal tendencies, teacher emotional support is a protective factor for bully victims to affect college students' suicidal tendencies, and family support has a significant moderating effect on the bully victim and college students' suicidal tendencies. Therefore, it is necessary to actively adopt home-school linkage and home-school communication to reduce campus violence and increase the psychological resilience of college students.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: Cervical carcinoma is the second most prevalent and the fifth most deadly malignancy seen in women worldwide. Dysregulated activation of EGF ErbB system has been implicated in diverse types of human cancer; however, it is elusive how it is regulated in human cervical cancer cells. We herein aimed to explore the mechanisms of cervical carcinoma response to epidermal growth factor (EGF), with a view of the pathways activated by EGF. METHODS: Using the GSE6783 affymetrix microarray data accessible from gene expression omnibus database, we first identified the differentially expressed genes between EGF-stimulated and -unstimulated samples. Then we constructed a regulation network and identified the network motifs. We also performed biological process and pathway enrichment analyses to functionally classify the genes in the regulation network. RESULTS: A total of 11 network motifs were identified in the regulation network. EGF treatment could increase the risk of cancer via dysregulation of cancer-related pathways and immune response pathways. CONCLUSIONS: Network motif analysis is useful in mining the useful information underlying the network. We hope our work could serve as a basis for further experimentation.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Developmental care has been broadly applied to identify the behavioral cues and care needs of preterm infants. Past studies indicate a significantly higher level of physical distress in bottle-fed preterm infants than in preterm infants who are breastfed. However, no evidence has yet been reported that supports the influence of feeding methods on behavioral cues. PURPOSE: This study compares differences in the type and frequency of behavioral cues between breast- and bottle-fed preterm infants. METHODS: A comparison study design and secondary data analysis method were used to assess data from two previous research projects. Infant feeding behavioral cues were observed and compared between two groups: 7 preterm infants who were breastfed and 7 preterm infants who were bottle-fed. After cases were matched by infant gestational age, behavioral responses were coded according to the preterm feeding cues coding system (PFCCS) from 7 paired maternal-infant feeding videos that featured preterm infants of 25 to 32 weeks gestational age at birth. RESULTS: The PFCCS classifies 24 feeding behavioral cues into hunger cues, self-regulatory cues, stress cues, and satiety cues. Infants in the breastfeeding group had a higher hunger cue frequency than their bottle-fed peers (p = .013), while bottle-fed infants had a higher stress cue frequency than their breastfed peers (p = .041). Other significant differences in behavioral cues between the two feeding methods included "fluid spillage" (bottle- >breast-, p = .008), "central cyanosis" (bottle- >breast-, p = .024) and "hand pushing" (breast- >bottle-, p = .034). CONCLUSIONS/IMPLICATIONS FOR PRACTICE: Preterm infants in this study who breastfed showed significantly fewer stress cues than those who bottle fed. These findings support the importance of enhancing care provider sensitivity with regard to behavioral-cue observation. Findings further support breastfeeding rather than bottle-feeding for preterm infants.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Although connections between psychotic-like experiences (PLEs) and a series of non-psychotic disorders have been widely explored in previous research, it is unclear whether PLEs could act as a co-occurring psychopathological indicator of multi-dimensional affective symptoms. METHODS: A total of 4761 students took part in an online survey which assessed the frequency of PLEs and three types of affective symptoms over lifetime. Binary logistic regression models were used to examine associations between PLEs and each type of affective symptom. Network analysis was conducted to explore the relationship among three subtypes of PLEs - persecutory ideation (PI), bizarre experiences (BEs) and perceptual abnormalities (PAs), and different types of affective symptoms. RESULTS: The results showed that compared with the non-PLEs group, the PLEs group suffered significantly higher risk of experiencing three types of affective symptoms, including manic symptoms [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 11.50, 95 % confidence interval (CI) (4.59-28.81)], depressive symptoms [aOR 7.28, 95 % CI (4.98-10.66)] and anxiety symptoms [aOR 4.47, 95 % CI (3.10-6.43)]. In the network model, bizarre experiences were the most critical central symptom. Both depressive and anxiety symptoms were most strongly associated with persecutory ideation while manic symptoms were most closely related to bizarre experiences. LIMITATIONS: Cross-sectional data and self-reported symptoms. CONCLUSIONS: These findings suggest that PLEs are a vital co-occurring indicator of multi-dimensional affective symptoms and show its enormous potential as a target for a host of mental health problems. Further investigation may shed light on the aetiology of the relationship between different subtypes of PLEs and affective symptoms.

RESUMEN

The dedifferentiation of the gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) has been reported in a small number of cases, usually under the pressure of the tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) treatment. Herein, we described a de novo dedifferentiated GIST with the SDH deficiency in a 32-year-old Chinese woman. The tumor was located on the lesser curvature of the gastric antrum, measuring 4.1x9.1 cm2. Microscopically, the tumor was composed of 2 distinct morphological populations, mild epithelioid cells arranged in the multinodular growth pattern and hyperchromatic spindle cells arranged in the fascicular or sheet-like architecture. The two zones showed different immunophenotypes. The former proved to be an epithelioid GIST with the positive expression for C-KIT, DOG-1, and CD34, and the latter expressed the CKpan and P53, but negative for the C-KIT, DOG-1, and CD34. However, the SDHB staining was negative in both areas. Genetically, the next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis showed the SDHC mutation (p.S48*) in both components and the MDM2 amplification was only in the spindle cell area. The lesion was diagnosed as the SDH-deficient GIST with the epithelial cell dedifferentiation. We proposed that the P53 associated gene alteration or other alternative escape mechanisms for the KIT-independent signaling pathways might play a role in the dedifferentiation.

RESUMEN

Introduction:  Suicidal ideation and suicidal behavior, as the most severe psychological and behavioral problems among adolescents, bring not only significant damage to individual social functioning but also cause enormous economic and social pressure, which will ultimately be detrimental to social development and social stability. This paper aimed to explore the potential relationship between teacher discrimination behavior, peer bullying victimization, anxiety disorders, and adolescent suicidal ideation based on the Vulnerability-Stress Model. Methods:  From September to November 2022, our research team surveyed 21,017 junior high school students from 12 secondary schools in ten cities in China. Mplus 8.3 software was used to analyze the pathways of teacher discrimination behavior on adolescent suicidal ideation. Results:  The results showed that teacher preference had a significant negative effect on suicidal ideation, and teacher prejudice significantly positively affected suicidal ideation. Mediation test results indicated that there were significant independent mediating effects of peer bullying victimization and anxiety disorders between teacher discrimination behavior and adolescents' suicidal ideation, as well as significant chain mediating effects. Conclusion:  Secondary school teachers should improve their self-quality and pay more attention to adolescents' suicidal ideation. Teachers are expected to put love into their education, respect and trust each student, and attend to their emotional needs unbiasedly. Educators should develop targeted prevention and intervention measures according to the actual situation of school bullying and also strengthen adolescents' life-value education to improve the psychological quality of adolescents and create a healthy campus atmosphere.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Given the poor prognosis of lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), the aim of this study was to screen for new prognostic biomarkers. METHODS: The TGCA_LUSC dataset was used as the training set, and GSE73403 was used as the validation set. The genes involved in necroptosis-related pathways were acquired from the KEGG database, and the differential genes between the LUSC and normal samples were identified using the GSEA. A necroptosis signature was constructed by survival analysis, and its correlation with patient prognosis and clinical features was evaluated. The molecular characteristics and drug response associated with the necroptosis signature were also identified. The drug candidates were then validated at the cellular level. RESULTS: The TCGA_LUSC dataset included 51 normal samples and 502 LUSC samples. The GSE73403 dataset included 69 samples. 159 genes involved in necroptosis pathways were acquired from the KEGG database, of which most showed significant differences between two groups in terms of genomic, transcriptional and methylation alterations. In particular, CHMP4C, IL1B, JAK1, PYGB and TNFRSF10B were significantly associated with the survival (p < 0.05) and were used to construct the necroptosis signature, which showed significant correlation with patient prognosis and clinical features in univariate and multivariate analyses (p < 0.05). Furthermore, CHMP4C, IL1B, JAK1 and PYGB were identified as potential targets of trametinib, selumetinib, SCH772984, PD 325901 and dasatinib. Finally, knockdown of these genes in LUSC cells increased chemosensitivity to those drugs. CONCLUSION: We identified a necroptosis signature in LUSC that can predict prognosis and identify patients who can benefit from targeted therapies.

RESUMEN

The soil environmental pollution situation has been severe in recent years, but studies on evaluating with bioavailability testing and prediction models are lacking, which makes it difficult to accurately assess the ecological risks of contaminated soil. As an important indicator of bioavailability, the bioaccessibility of cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and lead (Pb) in the soil was analyzed in this study. The bioaccessibility content and their corresponding soil property data were screened and systematically analyzed to explore the relationship between bioaccessibility content and soil properties. Furthermore, some testing methods for bioaccessibility were summarized to analyze the relationship between bioaccessibility content, test methods, and bioavailability content. Additionally, the bioaccessibility content prediction models were established. The results showed that there was a strong correlation between the bioaccessibility content and the total content of heavy metals (P<0.01) and a significant (P<0.05) correlation with the soil pH. Different test methods had obvious effects on bioavailability. The proportion of bioaccessibility content determined via various test methods was as follows:in vitro gastrointestinal tract simulation>chemical reagent extraction. The proportions of bioaccessibility content of Cd and Pb in natural soil were relatively high, with mean values of 42.12% and 37.33%, respectively, indicating that Cd and Pb had higher risks of being absorbed by soil organisms. Moreover, 30 bioaccessibility prediction models for five heavy metals were constructed, which involved the soil properties and test methods. The results of this study can provide scientific information and bioaccessibility prediction models that can help in accurately assessing the ecological risks of contaminated soil.

RESUMEN

Background: Spindle and kinetochore-associated complex subunits 1-3 (SKA1-3) stabilize the kinetochore-attached spindle microtubules in metaphase. Due to the dysregulation in multiple cancers, SKA1-3 is considered a predictor for the prognosis of the patients. However, the potential clinical applications of SKA1-3, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) prognosis and progression, have completely unknown yet. Methods: For the analysis of SKA1-3 expression and applications in clinics in HCC patients, several databases, such as STRING, UALCAN, GEO, and TCGA, were searched. In addition, the underlying mechanisms of SKA for the regulation of HCC occurrence, development, and progression were also explored. Results: Compared to the normal controls, HCC patients showed dramatically elevated SKA1-3 expression at the mRNA level, and the values of the area under the curve (AUC) were 0.982, 0.887, and 0.973, respectively. Increased SKA1-3 expression levels were associated with the clinical stage, age, body mass index, tumor grade, tissue subtype, and Tp53 mutation status in HCC patients. The analyses of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genome (KEGG) and Gene ontology (GO) demonstrated that SKA1-3 are enriched mainly in the Fanconi anemia, homologous recombination, spliceosome, DNA replication, and cell cycle signaling pathways. The hub genes, such as CDK1, CCNB1, CCNA2, TOP2A, BUB1, AURKB, CCNB2, BUB1B, NCAPG, and KIF11, were identified in protein-protein interactions (PPIs). The expression levels of hub genes were increased in HCC patients and predictive of a poor prognosis. Finally, the expression levels of SKA1-3 were determined using the GEO database. Conclusions: SKA1-3 are potential prognostic biomarkers of and targets for HCC. In addition, SKA1-3 may affect HCC prognosis via the Fanconi anemia pathway, homologous recombination, spliceosome, DNA replication, and cell cycle signaling pathway.

RESUMEN

Andrographolide (Andro) has known to treat various illnesses such as colds, diarrhea, fever and infectious diseases. However, the effect mechanism of Andro is still unclear. Therefore, we used high-throughput metabolomics analysis to discover biomarkers, metabolic profiles and pathways to reveal the pharmacological action and effective mechanism of Andro against lung cancer. The metabolic effects of Andro on lung cancer animal was explored by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-triple-time of flight/mass spectrometry (UPLC-TOF/MS) analysis. Our results showed that Andro exhibited significant protective effects against lung cancer. Compared with control group, a total of 25 metabolites biomarkers was identified in urine of model animals, which 18 of them were regulated toward the normal direction after Andro treatment, and network pharmacology analysis showed that they were related with 570 proteins. Biological pathways analysis showed that the 11 metabolism pathways were regulated by Andro treatment in lung cancer mouse, and amino acid metabolism and arachidonic acid metabolism have great potential as target pathways for Andro against lung cancer. It revealed that high-throughput metabolomics combined with network pharmacology analysis provides deeply insight into the therapeutic mechanisms of natural product for promoting medicine development and disease treatment.

RESUMEN

Considering Hengshui Lake as the research object, the representative surface sediments at eleven points were collected in March 2019, and the morphological distribution characteristics of carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus nutrients in the lake sediments were analyzed. The results showed that the total organic carbon (TOC) content in Hengshui Lake sediments was 93.226 mg·g-1, which might lead to a higher risk of potential nitrogen source release. The total nitrogen (TN) content was 1.850 mg·g-1, which was a moderate pollution load; the contents of various nitrogen forms and the proportions in TN were Res-N (0.973 mg·g-1, 52.57%) > WAEF-N (0.531 mg·g-1, 28.69%) > SOEF-N (0.208 mg·g-1, 11.23%) > IEF-N 0.088 (mg·g-1, 4.77%) > SAEF-N (0.051 mg·g-1, 2.75%). These results further indicated that the risk of nitrogen release from sediments in Hengshui Lake was relatively high. The content of total phosphorus (TP) was 1.020 mg·g-1 and that of inorganic phosphorus (IP) was 0.839 mg·g-1, accounting for 82.27% of the TP content, which was a moderate pollution load; the average content of various phosphorus forms and the proportions in IP were Ca-P (0.440 mg·g-1, 52.44%) > Res-P (0.200 mg·g-1, 23.84%) > Fe-P and Al-P (0.169 mg·g-1, 20.14%) > NH4Cl-P (0.030 mg·g-1, 3.58%). In general, the risk of phosphorus release from sediments in Hengshui Lake was relatively low. The analysis of C/N, C/P, and N/P characteristics showed that the organic matter in Hengshui Lake sediments mainly originated from terrestrial grasses and sedge plants, and the phosphorus in the sediments was mainly affected by terrestrial input. Correlation analysis showed that the correlation between carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus in Hengshui Lake sediment was weak, and the sources of the three nutrients might be different; the correlation between each form of phosphorus was stronger than that of each form of nitrogen, and each form of phosphorus had very good homology. The sources of various forms of nitrogen were diverse and complex. The pollution status of the lake area was evaluated by organic index and organic nitrogen. The results showed that the nutrient pollution in Hengshui Lake sediments was serious, reaching the Grade Ⅳ standard. The potential risk of nitrogen in sediments should be taken seriously and effectively controlled.

RESUMEN

Senescence is a degenerative process triggered by intricate and coordinated regulatory networks, and the mechanisms of age-dependent senescence and stress-induced premature senescence still remain largely elusive. Thus we selected leaf samples of developmental senescence (DS) and premature senescence (PS) to reveal the regulatory divergence. Senescent leaves were confirmed by yellowing symptom and physiological measurement. A total of 1171 and 309 genes (DEGs) were significantly expressed respectively in the whole process of DS and PS. Up-regulated DEGs in PS were mostly related to ion transport, while the down-regulated DEGs were mainly associated with oxidoreductase activity and sesquiterpenoid and triterpenoid biosynthesis. In DS, photosynthesis, precursor metabolites and energy, protein processing in endoplasmic reticulum, flavonoid biosynthesis were notable. Moreover, we found the vital pathways shared by DS and PS, of which the DEGs were analyzed further via protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analysis to explore the alteration responding to two types of senescence. In addition, plant hormone transduction pathway was mapped by related DEGs, suggesting that ABA and ethylene signaling played pivotal roles in formulating the distinction of DS and PS. Finally, we conducted a model containing oxidative stress and ABA signaling as two hub points, which highlighted the major difference and predicted the possible mechanism under DS and PS. This work gained new insight into molecular divergence of developmental senescence and premature senescence and would provide reference on potential mechanism initiating and motivating senescence for further study.
