RESUMEN

The global aquaculture industry of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) has been significantly impacted by the emergence of tilapia lake virus (TiLV). However, effective prevention and control measures are still not available due to a lack of unclear pathogenesis of TiLV. Our previous transcriptome found that coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CAR) was in response to TiLV infection in tilapia. To explore the potential function of OnCAR, the effect of OnCAR on TiLV proliferation was analyzed in this study. The OnCAR open reading frame (ORF) sequence of tilapia was 516 bp in length that encoded 171 amino acids with an Ig-like domain and transmembrane region. The OnCAR gene showed widespread expression in all investigated tissues, with the highest levels in the heart. Moreover, the OnCAR gene in the liver and muscle of tilapia exhibited dynamic expression levels upon TiLV challenge. Subcellular localization analysis indicated that OnCAR protein was mainly localized on the membrane of tilapia brain (TiB) cells. Importantly, the gene transcripts, genome copy number, S8-encoded protein, cytopathic effect, and internalization of TiLV were obviously decreased in the TiB cells overexpressed with OnCAR, indicating that OnCAR could inhibit TiLV replication. Mechanically, OnCAR could interact with viral S8 and S10-encoded protein. To the best of our knowledge, OnCAR is the first potential anti-TiLV cellular surface molecular receptor discovered for inhibiting TiLV infection. This finding is beneficial for better understanding the antiviral mechanism of tilapia and lays a foundation for establishing effective prevention and control strategies against tilapia lake virus disease (TiLVD).

RESUMEN

Mn4+-activated fluoride red phosphors exhibit excellent luminescence properties. However, a persistent technical challenge lies in their poor moisture resistance. Current strategies primarily focus on surface modifications to effectively shield the [MnF6]2- species from water molecules while neglecting the underlying structure of the fluoride matrix. In this study, we introduce Si4+ and Ge4+ ions into the K2TiF6:Mn4+ crystal to create covalent fluoride solid solutions, namely, K2Ti1-xSixF6:Mn4+ and K2Ti1-yGeyF6:Mn4+, through crystal reconstruction. The findings reveal that the incorporation of Si4+ leads to increased particle size, enhanced luminescence intensity (by 40%), and improved moisture resistance. Furthermore, after undergoing 1000 h of aging at high temperature and high humidity conditions, the white LED featuring the K2Ti0.97Si0.03F6:Mn4+ phosphor demonstrates remarkable durability by retaining 90% of its initial luminous efficacy. This performance surpasses that of the device utilizing the K2TiF6:Mn4+ phosphor, which only retains 74% of its original efficacy. The crystal reconstruction method and covalent enhancement strategy proposed in this work contribute to enhancing the luminescence efficiency and moisture resistance of fluoride phosphors, thereby offering new insights for advancing the development of high-efficiency and highly stable white light LED devices.

RESUMEN

Broadband ultraviolet (UV) excitation and red/far-red emission phosphors can effectively convert solar spectrum to enhance photosynthesis and promote morphogenesis in plants. Based on the above application requirements, Eu3+ single-doped LaAl1-yGayO3 solid solutions and Eu3+,Mn4+ codoped LaAl0.7Ga0.3O3 phosphors were designed and synthesized in this work. The LaAl0.7Ga0.3O3:0.05Eu3+ (LAG:Eu3+) phosphor exhibits a strong charge transfer band (CTB) excitation and characteristic 5D0 → 7F2 transition red emission (619 nm), which is very similar to the luminescence properties of Eu3+-organic ligand compound (EuL3). Rietveld refinement studies further revealed that the cation substitution disturbs the site symmetry. The optimal Eu3+, Mn4+ co-doped LaAl0.7Ga0.3O3 (LAG:Eu,Mn) phosphor possesses a dual-band excitation spectrum in broadband ultraviolet (UVA, UVB) area and a dual-band emission spectrum within red/far-red area. Under the sunlight radiation, the real-time spectrum of luminous laminated glasses fabricated by coating the LAG:Eu,Mn phosphor shows the percentage of radiant intensity in the red/far-red region significantly increases, suggesting that the phosphor can be a promising candidate for solar spectral conversion in plant cultivation. We believe this work provides a new idea for developing novel broadband ultraviolet excitation and red/far-red emission phosphors.

RESUMEN

Background: The QRS fraction is the ratio of the total amplitude of R waves to the total amplitude of QRS complexes ( ∑ R/QRS) on a 12-lead electrocardiogram. Our group has previously proposed calculation of the QRS fraction as a simple method for estimation of left ventricular ejection fraction. In this study, we explored the ability of the QRS fraction to predict cardiovascular death in patients with heart failure. Methods: The study had a prospective, observational design and collected epidemiological and follow-up data for 1715 patients with heart failure who were inpatients in the Department of Cardiology at the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University between January 2017 and December 2018. The patients were stratified according to quartile of QRS fraction, namely, lower ( < 43.8%, Q1 group) middle (43.8%-61.0%, Q2 group), and higher ( > 61.0%, Q3 group). Results: One thousand and fifty-one (61.28%) of the 1715 patients were male and the median follow-up duration was 261 days (interquartile range 39, 502). There were 341 (19.88%) deaths, including 282 (16.44%) with a cardiovascular cause. The Q1, Q2, and Q3 groups comprised 431 (25.13%), 850 (49.56%), and 434 (25.31%) patients, respectively. There were significant differences in cardiovascular mortality among the three QRS fraction subgroups (p < 0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival curves of different QRS fraction levels showed significant diffference among patients with heart failure, especially among those with preserved ejection fraction (p = 0.025 and 0.031, log-rank test). Cox regression analysis showed that the QRS fraction was independently associated with the risk of cardiovascular death. The risk of cardiovascular death was lower in the Q2 and Q3 groups than in the Q1 group, with respective hazard ratios of 0.668 (95% confidence interval 0.457-0.974) and 0.538 (95% confidence interval 0.341-0.849). Conclusions: The QRS fraction may serve as a prognostic indicator of the long-term risk of cardiovascular death in patients with heart failure, especially those with preserved ejection fraction. RESUMEN

All-inorganic perovskite quantum dots (PQDs, CsPbX3, X = Cl, Br, and I) show outstanding application prospects in the field of photoelectric devices. In recent years, the development of PQDs has greatly improved their stability to water, oxygen, and light. However, thermal quenching of PQDs greatly limits their practical application. Herein, we embed PQDs into ATiO3 (A = Ca, Ba, and Sr) of three different mesoporous spherical structures to explore the effect on thermal quenching of PQDs. Because of the unique mesoporous hollow microsphere structure and low thermal conductivity of SrTiO3, it can effectively block the heat transfer and improve the thermal quenching of PQDs. The photoluminescence (PL) intensity of CsPbBr3@SrTiO3 composites is 72.6% of the initial intensity after heating to 120 °C. Moreover, the PL intensity of CsPbBr3@SrTiO3 composites remains about 80% of the initial value even when stored in air for 20 days or irradiated by 365 nm UV light for 48 h. A neutral white light-emitting diode is assembled by a blue chip, CsPbBr3@SrTiO3 composites, and red phosphor of K2SiF6:Mn4+, which has a color temperature of 5389 K and a color gamut covered 133% of National Television Standards Committee (NTSC).

RESUMEN

The tetravalent-state stability of manganese is of primary importance for Mn4+ luminescence. Double perovskite-structured A2B'B″O6:Mn4+ has been recently prevalent, and the manganese ions are assumed to substitute for the B″(IV-VI)O6 site to stabilize at the tetravalent charge state to generate far-red emissions. However, some Mn-doped A2B'B″O6-type materials show no or weak luminescence such as typical Ca2MgWO6:Mn. In this work, a cation-pair co-substitution strategy is proposed to replace 2Ca2+ by Na+-La3+ to form Ca2-2xNaxLaxMgWO6:Mn. The significant structural distortion appears in the solid solution lattices with the contraction of [MgO6] but enlargement of [WO6] octahedron. We hypothesize that the site occupancy preference of Mn migrates from Mg2+ to W6+ sites. As a result, the effective Mn4+/Mn2+ concentration enhances remarkably to regulate nonluminescence to highly efficient Mn4+-related far-red emission. The optimal CaNa0.5La0.5MgWO6:0.9%Mn4+ shows an internal quantum efficiency of 94% and external quantum efficiency of 82%, reaching up to the top values in Mn4+-doped oxide phosphors. This work may provide a new perspective for the rational design of Mn4+-activated red phosphors, primarily considering the site occupancy modification and tetravalent-state stability of Mn.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: To investigate the predictive accuracy of three-dimension (3D) time-of-flight (TOF) MR angiography (MRA) and 3D Fast Imaging Employing Steady-state Acquisition (FIESTA) techniques in assessing neurovascular compression (NVC) with specific vessels in patients with primary trigeminal neuralgia (TN). METHODS: Patients with single-site primary TN undergoing microvascular decompression (MVD) were retrospectively recruited. All patients had available preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. A quantitative NVC scoring system was applied to assess the severity of NVC on MRI. The radiological findings were correlated with the intraoperative result to determine the diagnostic accuracy of MRI techniques. Besides, the radiological indicator of MVD was determined. RESULTS: Seventy-three TN patients were recruited. Thirty-three patient had bilateral NVC but with unilateral neuralgia. The average NVC score of the asymptomatic side was significantly lower than that of the symptomatic side (1.6 vs. 6.7; p < 0.001). A cut-off value of NVC >4 was determined as a radiological indicator of MVD with sensitivity and specificity of 82.2% and 98.6%, respectively Area Under Curve (AUC = 0.97; p < 0.001). Approximately 90% of symptomatic patients had the distance to REZ ≤3 mm. 68.5% of patients had a single conflicting vessel, and superior cerebellar artery (SCA) was the predominate vessel (46.6%). The sensitivity and specificity of MRI to detect NVC were 95.8% and 100%, respectively. Regarding each vessel, the cohen's kappa statistic (K) was 0.632 overall. CONCLUSIONS: 3D TOF MRA and FIESTA show an overall good ability to predict specific offending vessels. NVC score >4 is identified to predict TN, suggestive of subsequent surgical treatment.

RESUMEN

Mesophotic coral ecosystems (MCEs) represent an underexplored source of intriguing natural products. Efforts to discover bioactive metabolites from sponge-associated fungi in MCEs identified a new steroid, acremocholone (1) and its three known analogs (2-4), from Acremonium sp. NBUF150. The Acremonium sp. NBUF150 was isolated from a Ciocalypta sponge located 70 m deep within the South China Sea. The planar structures and absolute configuration of 1-4 were determined from NMR-derived spectroscopic data, HR-ESI-MS, and X-ray crystallography. Compound 1 exhibited antimicrobial inhibition against Vibrio scophthalmi, V. shilonii and V. brasiliensis at minimum inhibitory concentrations of 8 µg/mL; compound 2 inhibited V. shilonii and V. brasiliensis at 8 and 32 µg/mL, respectively, and compound 4 inhibited growth of V. brasiliensis at 16 µg/mL. Sponge associated fungi from MCEs represent a promising resource of anti-Vibrio drug leads for aquaculture use.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the incidence of extrauterine growth retardation (EUGR) and its risk factors in very preterm infants (VPIs) during hospitalization in China. METHODS: A prospective multicenter study was performed on the medical data of 2 514 VPIs who were hospitalized in the department of neonatology in 28 hospitals from 7 areas of China between September 2019 and December 2020. According to the presence or absence of EUGR based on the evaluation of body weight at the corrected gestational age of 36 weeks or at discharge, the VPIs were classified to two groups: EUGR group (n=1 189) and non-EUGR (n=1 325). The clinical features were compared between the two groups, and the incidence of EUGR and risk factors for EUGR were examined. RESULTS: The incidence of EUGR was 47.30% (1 189/2 514) evaluated by weight. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that higher weight growth velocity after regaining birth weight and higher cumulative calorie intake during the first week of hospitalization were protective factors against EUGR (P<0.05), while small-for-gestational-age birth, prolonged time to the initiation of total enteral feeding, prolonged cumulative fasting time, lower breast milk intake before starting human milk fortifiers, prolonged time to the initiation of full fortified feeding, and moderate-to-severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia were risk factors for EUGR (P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: It is crucial to reduce the incidence of EUGR by achieving total enteral feeding as early as possible, strengthening breastfeeding, increasing calorie intake in the first week after birth, improving the velocity of weight gain, and preventing moderate-severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia in VPIs.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: The fecal microbiota in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) and in autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) patients remains largely unknown. We aimed to characterize the fecal microbiota in patients with PDAC and AIP, and explore the possibility of fecal microbial biomarkers for distinguishing PDAC and AIP. METHODS: 32 patients with PDAC, 32 patients with AIP and 32 age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HC) were recruited and the fecal microbiotas were analyzed through high-throughput metagenomic sequencing. Alterations of fecal short-chain fatty acids were measured using gas chromatographic method. RESULTS: Principal coordinate analysis (PCoA) revealed that microbial compositions differed significantly between PDAC and HC samples; whereas, AIP and HC individuals tended to cluster together. Significant reduction of phylum Firmicutes (especially butyrate-producing bacteria, including Eubacterium rectale, Faecalibacterium prausnitzii and Roseburia intestinalis) and significant increase of phylum Proteobacteria (especially Gammaproteobacteria) were observed only among PDAC samples. At species level, when compared with HC samples, we revealed 24 and 12 differently enriched bacteria in PDAC and AIP, respectively. Functional analysis showed a depletion of short-chain fatty acids synthesis associated KO modules (e.g. Wood-Ljungdahl pathway) and an increase of KO modules associated with bacterial virulence (e.g. type II general secretion pathway). Consistent with the downregulation of butyrate-producing bacteria, gas chromatographic analysis showed fecal butyrate content was significantly decreased in PDAC group. Eubacterium rectale, Eubacterium ventrisum and Odoribacter splanchnicus were among the most important biomarkers in distinguishing PDAC from HC and from AIP individuals. Receiver Operating Characteristic analysis showed areas under the curve of 90.74% (95% confidence interval [CI] 86.47-100%), 88.89% (95% CI 73.49-100%), and 76.54% (95% CI 52.5-100%) for PDAC/HC, PDAC/AIP and AIP/HC, respectively. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, alterations in fecal microbiota and butyrate of patients with PDAC suggest an underlying role of gut microbiota for the pathogenesis of PDAC. Fecal microbial and butyrate as potential biomarkers may facilitate to distinguish patients with PDAC from patients with AIP and HCs which worth further validation.

RESUMEN

Vaccine immunization is currently the only effective way to prevent and control the grass carp haemorrhagic disease, and the primary pathogen in these infections is grass carp reovirus genotype II (GCRV-II) for which there is no commercial vaccine. In this study, we evaluated the safety of the GCRV-II avirulent strain GD1108 which isolated in the early stage of the laboratory through continuously passed in grass carp. The immunogenicity and protective effects were evaluated after immunization by injection and immersion. The avirulent strain GD1108 could infect and replicate in the fish which did not revert to virulence after continuous passage. No adverse side effects were observed and the vaccine strain did not spread horizontally among fish. Two routes of immunization induced high serum antibody titers of OD450nm value were 0.79 and 0.76 and neutralization titers of 320 and 320 for the injection and immersion routes of inoculation, respectively. The expression of immune-related genes increased after immunization and the levels were statistically significant. Challenge of immunized fish with a virulent GCRV-II strain resulted in protection rates of 93.88% and 76.00% for the injection and immersion routes, respectively. The avirulent strain GD1108 revealed good safety and immunogenicity via two different inoculation routes. Although the injection route provided the best immune effect, two pathways provided protection against infection with virulent GCRV-II strains in various degrees. These results indicated that the avirulent strain GD1108 can be used for the development and application as live vaccine.

RESUMEN

Phosphors with high quantum efficiency and thermal stability play a key role in improving the performance of phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes (pc-WLEDs). A near-UV-pumped LED shows a great advantage due to its reduction of the negative effect of blue light on human health. In this work, we propose a series of near-UV excitable cyan-emitting Eu2+-activated phosphors with a nominal composition of Na2-2xAl11O17+a:xEu2+ (x = 0.01-0.40), which crystallize in a sodium ß-alumina phase with a composition close to Na1.22Al11O17.11. An excess amount of the sodium carbonate raw material makes up the volatile Na during the high-temperature process. The noninteger stoichiometric composition promotes the rigidity of the crystal structure with a slight excess of Na insertion into layers between spinel blocks of the NaAl11O17 matrix. The nonequivalent substitution of Na+ by Eu2+ generates intrinsic defects acting as carrier traps. As a result, the phosphor with an optimal nominal composition Na1.6Al11O17+a:0.20Eu2+, under the excitation at 365 nm, shows an asymmetric cyan emission band at 468 nm with internal and external quantum efficiencies of 81.3 and 56.9%, respectively. Remarkably, the phosphor exhibits antithermal quenching within 200 °C. A pc-WLED with a high color rendering index (87.2) suggests great potential of the phosphor in pc-WLEDs. Therefore, a combination of a rigid structure and deep trap level is an effective way in exploring new phosphors with high quantum efficiency and thermal stability.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Abdominal obesity as a predominant comorbidity has played a key role in the incidence and worsening of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), and waist-to-height ratio (WHtR) behaves better than waist circumference or body mass index in evaluating abdominal obesity. While the association between WHtR and all-cause death in Chinese patients with HFpEF remains unclear. METHODS: Patients with stable HFpEF (N = 2041) who presented to our hospital from January 2008 to July 2019 were divided into low-WHtR (< 0.5, N = 378) and high-WHtR (≥ 0.5, N = 1663). Multivariable Cox proportional-hazard models were used to examine the association of WHtR with all-cause death. RESULTS: The average age was 76.63 ± 11.44 years, and the mean follow-up was 4.53 years. During follow-up, 185 patients (9.06%) reached the primary outcome of all-cause death. As for the secondary outcome, 79 patients (3.87%) experienced cardiovascular death, 106 (5.19%) had non-cardiovascular death, and 94 (4.61%) had heart failure rehospitalization. After multivariable adjustment, a higher WHtR was significantly associated with the increased risks of all-cause death [adjusted hazard ratios (HR) 1.91, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.06-3.45, p = 0.032], cardiovascular death (adjusted HR 2.58; 95% CI 1.01-6.67, p = 0.048), and HF rehospitalization (adjusted HR 3.04; 95% CI 1.26-7.31, p = 0.013). CONCLUSIONS: Higher WHtR is an independent risk factor for all-cause death in Chinese patients with HFpEF.

RESUMEN

Bovis Calculus Artifactus (BCA) is the main substitute for natural Calculus bovis, a traditional drug in China used to treat high fever, convulsion, and sore throat. The effect of BCA on cytochrome P450 (CYP) activities is unknown. This study was to investigate the effect of BCA on eight rat hepatic microsomal CYPisozymes to evaluate the potential drug interactions using the cocktail approach.Metabolites of the eight isoform probe substrates of CYP isozymes were quantified by LC-MS/MS. The method was validated by incubating known CYP inhibitors α-naphthoflavone (CYP1A2), thiotepa (CYP2B1), quercetin (CYP2C7), sulfaphenazole (CYP2C6), ticlopidine (CYP2C11), quinidine (CYP2D1), ketoconazole (CYP3A1),4-methylpyrazole (CYP2E1) with individual probe substrate and rat liver microsomes. The formation rates of the corresponding metabolites of the eight probe substrates were determined to evaluate the activity of each isozyme. The results showed that BCA has different degrees of inhibitory effect on four CYP450 isoforms (CYP2C6, CYP2C11, CYP2D1, CYP3A1) (p < 0.05), but no significant influence on CYP1A2, 2B1, 2C7 or 2E1 (p > 0.05). Attention should be paid to the BCA-drug interactions by careful monitoring and appropriate dosage adjustments in the concurrent use of the drugs which are metabolized by CYP1A2, CYP2C19, and CYP3A4. RESUMEN

The Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) model was applied to investigate the relationship between economic growth and water environment quality based on panel data of Taicang during 2010-2017. The typical inversed-U shaped relationship has been obtained between GDP (gross domestic product) and indicators of ammonia, total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP), respectively. The EKC turning point appeared when the GDP per capita was around US$2270, which was much lower than those in some developed countries (US$11,200). However, the decoupling between chemical oxygen demand (COD) and GDP per capita occurred even before this period, which should be attributed to the strict COD emission regulation being implemented since 2010. Further, analysis based on the Tapio decoupling coefficient elasticity model analyzed the ammonia nitrogen and economic development of each industry. We found that the agriculture no-point was strong decoupling in 2011-2014, then came to Recessive decoupling. The domestic wastewater had been in a strong decoupling state; Both urban non-point and industry experienced expansive negative decoupling, due to strict policy that prioritizes the environment over development and the investment in improvement of environment and techniques, both of them gradually came to strong decoupling. The result demonstrated that the EKC turning point could be appear in earlier economic stage and the decoupling coefficient elasticity could be improved through taking strong regulation measures.

RESUMEN

BACKGROUND: Stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) to screen for silent myocardial ischaemia in asymptomatic high risk patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) has never been performed, and its effectiveness is unknown. Our aim was to determine the feasibility of a screening programme using stress CMR by obtaining preliminary data on the prevalence of silent ischaemia caused by obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) and quantify myocardial perfusion in asymptomatic high risk patients with type 2 diabetes. METHODS: In this prospective cohort study, we recruited 63 asymptomatic DM patients (mean age 66 years ± 4.4 years; 77.8% male); with Framingham risk score ≥ 20% from 3 sites from June 2017 to August 2018. Normal volunteers were recruited to determine normal global myocardial perfusion reserve index (MPRI). Adenosine stress CMR and global MPRI was performed and measured in all subjects. Positive stress CMR cases were referred for catheter coronary angiography (CCA) with/without fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurements. Positive CCA was defined as an FFR ≤ 0.8 or coronary narrowing ≥ 70%. Patients were followed up for major adverse cardiovascular events. Prevalence is presented as patient numbers and percentage. Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare global MPRI between patients and normal volunteers. RESULTS: 13 patients had positive stress CMR with positive CCA (20.6% of patient population), while 9 patients with positive stress CMR examinations had a negative CCA. 5 patients (7.9%) had infarcts detected of which 2 patients had no stress perfusion defects. 12 patients had coronary artery stents inserted, whilst 1 patient declined stent placement. DM patients had lower global MPRI than normal volunteers (n = 7) (1.43 ± 0.27 vs 1.83 ± 0.31 respectively; p < 0.01). After a median follow-up of 653 days, there was no death, heart failure, acute coronary syndrome hospitalisation or stroke. CONCLUSION: 20.6% of asymptomatic DM patients (with Framingham risk ≥ 20%) had silent obstructive CAD. Furthermore, asymptomatic patients have reduced global MPRI than normal volunteers. RESUMEN

PURPOSE: To compare the efficacy and safety profile of S-1-based versus non-S-1-based chemotherapy as first-line treatment in mCRC. METHODS: Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were obtained from PubMed, Embase, and Ovid databases and the Cochrane library from database set up in May 2018. The RCTs of S-1-based monotherapy or combination therapy as first-line treatment were selected. The impact of S-1-based chemotherapy on progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) was assessed by pooling data via RevMan 5.3. RESULTS: Meta-analysis of 10 RCTs showed that S-1-based chemotherapy significantly improved PFS (HR 0.90, 95% CI 0.84-0.97, P = 0.006). In subgroup analysis, there was a statistically significant increase in PFS when S-1-based chemotherapy was compared with 5-FU-based (HR 0.92, 95% CI 0.84-1.00, P = 0.04) or capecitabine-based chemotherapy (HR 0.85, 95% CI 0.73-0.99, P = 0.04). The meta-analysis of OS (HR 0.95, 95% CI 0.86-1.05, P = 0.36), overall response rate (ORR) (HR 0.99, 95% CI 0.84-1.17, P = 0.90), and disease control rate (DCR) (HR 1.61, 95% CI 0.87-3.00, P = 0.13) showed no statistical significance between S-1-based and non-S-1-based chemotherapy. The statistically significant differences in the meta-analysis indicated less incidence of graded 3-4 leucopenia (OR = 0.30, 95% CI 0.13-0.71, P = 0.006) and hand-foot syndrome (HFS) (OR = 0.24, 95% CI 0.10-0.58, P = 0.001) in the S-1-based chemotherapy, and there was no statistically significant difference for other adverse events. CONCLUSIONS: S-1-based chemotherapy in mono or combined therapy was an attractive alternative to standard first-line regimen for patients of mCRC.

RESUMEN

Based on the diffusion of innovation theory (DOI), this paper aims to explore the potential factors that influence user satisfaction with new energy vehicles (NEVs). Furthermore, we introduce the term "personal environmental awareness" (PEA) and attempt to examine its contingent effects. A moderated hierarchical linear regression analysis (MHLRA) method is conducted to analyze the data collected from a field survey of 335 early-drivers of NEVs. Empirical results show that experiences related to usefulness, experience of ease-of-use, total cost, driving range, and infrastructure readiness are important factors that influence user satisfaction with NEVs. In the case of moderating effects, we found that PEA might strengthen the positive effects of experienced usefulness, experienced ease-of-use, driving range, and infrastructure readiness in terms of user satisfaction with NEVs. However, the moderating role of PEA in the relationship between total cost and user satisfaction is not statistically significant. Our research findings might provide some useful insights for market managers, academic researchers and policy makers.

RESUMEN

Intrinsic defect-related luminescence has recently been attracting more research interest for the modification of phosphors. However, the connection between defect formation and crystal structure has never been considered. In this work, we report that in the absence of an impurity activator, under a reducing atmosphere, apatite-type compound M5(PO4)3X (M = Ca, Sr, or Ba; X = F, Cl, or Br) can emit tunable colors ranging from blue to orange depending on the content of M and X. To better understand the cause, Ba5- mSr m(PO4)3Br (BSPOB; m = 0-5) solid solutions were analyzed in detail. The dependency of self-activated luminescence on atmospheric conditions and solid solution compositions was investigated by combining experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations using density functional theory. Crystal structures of these solid solutions were verified by X-ray diffraction patterns as well as Rietveld refinements. With the defect formation energy and electron paramagnetic resonance measurement, we propose that an oxygen vacancy (VO) should be mainly responsible for the peculiar super wide band emission. Moreover, the enhanced distortion of solid solution crystal structures augments VO concentrations and leads to luminescence intensities in solid solutions that are higher than that in end point compounds. Variations of the electronic structure of BSPOB matrices with gradual tuning of the Sr/Ba ratio were also investigated. As a result, the introduction of VO defect levels within the band gap leads to the formation of donors and acceptors, allowing for a modulation of the photoluminescence throughout the visible part of the spectrum. As the first report in the literature to demonstrate fine-tunable emissions over a wide wavelength range as a consequence of native defective levels in a series of continuous apatite-type solid solutions, our results illustrate the feasibility of defect-meditated systems by carefully tailoring defect chemistry and nonstoichiometric chemical composition under controlled conditions to engineer phosphor properties.

RESUMEN

Eu2+-activated Ba2ZnS3 has been reported as a red phosphor with a broad emission band peaking at 650 nm under blue excitation for white-LED. In this study, Ba2ZnS3:Eu2+, X- (X = F, Cl, Br, I) phosphors doped with halide ions were prepared by traditional high-temperature solid-state reaction. Phase identification of powders was performed by X-ray powder diffraction analysis, confirming the existence of single-phase Ba2ZnS3 crystals without dopant. The corresponding excitation spectra showed an additional broad band in the green region peaking at 550 nm when the phosphor was halogenated except by the smallest F-. It was proved that the green-excitation efficiency successively strengthened from Cl-, to Br-, to I-, which suggested larger halide ions made a greater contribution to the further splitting of the t2g energy level of the doped Eu2+ ions in the host Ba2ZnS3, and the optimized formula Ba1.995ZnS2.82:Eu2+0.005, I-0.18 showed a potential application in solar spectral conversion for agricultural greenhouse and solar cell. Defect chemistry theory and crystal field theory provided insights into the key role of halide ions in enhancing green-excitation efficiency.
