RESUMEN

The impact of a scientific publication is often measured by the number of citations it receives from the scientific community. However, citation count is susceptible to well-documented variations in citation practices across time and discipline, limiting our ability to compare different scientific achievements. Previous efforts to account for citation variations often rely on a priori discipline labels of papers, assuming that all papers in a discipline are identical in their subject matter. Here, we propose a network-based methodology to quantify the impact of an article by comparing it with locally comparable research, thereby eliminating the discipline label requirement. We show that the developed measure is not susceptible to discipline bias and follows a universal distribution for all articles published in different years, offering an unbiased indicator for impact across time and discipline. We then use the indicator to identify science-wide high impact research in the past half century and quantify its temporal production dynamics across disciplines, helping us identifying breakthroughs from diverse, smaller disciplines, such as geosciences, radiology, and optics, as opposed to citation-rich biomedical sciences. Our work provides insights into the evolution of science and paves a way for fair comparisons of the impact of diverse contributions across many fields.

Human migration and mobility drives major societal phenomena including epidemics, economies, innovation, and the diffusion of ideas. Although human mobility and migration have been heavily constrained by geographic distance throughout the history, advances, and globalization are making other factors such as language and culture increasingly more important. Advances in neural embedding models, originally designed for natural language, provide an opportunity to tame this complexity and open new avenues for the study of migration. Here, we demonstrate the ability of the model word2vec to encode nuanced relationships between discrete locations from migration trajectories, producing an accurate, dense, continuous, and meaningful vector-space representation. The resulting representation provides a functional distance between locations, as well as a "digital double" that can be distributed, re-used, and itself interrogated to understand the many dimensions of migration. We show that the unique power of word2vec to encode migration patterns stems from its mathematical equivalence with the gravity model of mobility. Focusing on the case of scientific migration, we apply word2vec to a database of three million migration trajectories of scientists derived from the affiliations listed on their publication records. Using techniques that leverage its semantic structure, we demonstrate that embeddings can learn the rich structure that underpins scientific migration, such as cultural, linguistic, and prestige relationships at multiple levels of granularity. Our results provide a theoretical foundation and methodological framework for using neural embeddings to represent and understand migration both within and beyond science.

Massive scientific productivity accompanied the COVID-19 pandemic. We evaluated the citation impact of COVID-19 publications relative to all scientific work published in 2020 to 2021 and assessed the impact on scientist citation profiles. Using Scopus data until August 1, 2021, COVID-19 items accounted for 4% of papers published, 20% of citations received to papers published in 2020 to 2021, and >30% of citations received in 36 of the 174 disciplines of science (up to 79.3% in general and internal medicine). Across science, 98 of the 100 most-cited papers published in 2020 to 2021 were related to COVID-19; 110 scientists received ≥10,000 citations for COVID-19 work, but none received ≥10,000 citations for non-COVID-19 work published in 2020 to 2021. For many scientists, citations to their COVID-19 work already accounted for more than half of their total career citation count. Overall, these data show a strong covidization of research citations across science, with major impact on shaping the citation elite.

The US scientific workforce is primarily composed of White men. Studies have demonstrated the systemic barriers preventing women and other minoritized populations from gaining entry to science; few, however, have taken an intersectional perspective and examined the consequences of these inequalities on scientific knowledge. We provide a large-scale bibliometric analysis of the relationship between intersectional identities, topics, and scientific impact. We find homophily between identities and topic, suggesting a relationship between diversity in the scientific workforce and expansion of the knowledge base. However, topic selection comes at a cost to minoritized individuals for whom we observe both between- and within-topic citation disadvantages. To enhance the robustness of science, research organizations should provide adequate resources to historically underfunded research areas while simultaneously providing access for minoritized individuals into high-prestige networks and topics.

Diversity in science is necessary to improve innovation and increase the capacity of the scientific workforce. Despite decades-long efforts to increase gender diversity, however, women remain a small minority in many fields, especially in senior positions. The dearth of elite women scientists, in turn, leaves fewer women to serve as mentors and role models for young women scientists. To shed light on gender disparities in science, we study prominent scholars who were elected to the National Academy of Sciences. We construct author citation networks that capture the structure of recognition among scholars' peers. We identify gender disparities in the patterns of peer citations and show that these differences are strong enough to accurately predict the scholar's gender. In contrast, we do not observe disparities due to prestige, with few significant differences in the structure of citations of scholars affiliated with high-ranked and low-ranked institutions. These results provide further evidence that a scholar's gender plays a role in the mechanisms of success in science.

OBJECTIVE: To use the bibliographic data of publications regarding the association between orofacial cleft (OC) and cancer to examine the implications of publication growth, co-citation, co-words, and authorship networks using bibliometric indicators and network visualization. METHODS: Bibliometric study analyzed documents related to the association between OC and cancer. Data were obtained in October 2023 from the Scopus, Pubmed, Web of Science. The search strategy was developed, and data obtained were imported into R ("bibliometrix") for analysis. Results: 70 documents were found from 1977 to 2023. Most were journal articles (90.0%) designed as case-control studies (42.8%). American Journal of Epidemiology was the most relevant source. The most cited document was Frebourg T, et al. (2006). Vieira A, Martelli-Junior were the most cited author. Most authors were affiliated to Brazil (University of Montes Claros) and United States (University of Pittsburgh). Research in this thematic has included children and adults of both sexes. Research trend points to gastric cancer, leukemia and breast cancer as the most investigated cancers in association to OC. CONCLUSION: This bibliometric analysis helps fill research gaps regarding the knowledge of the relationship between OC and cancer, providing some clues for selecting future research in this topic.

PURPOSE: This study aimed to systematically review the effect of nitrate supplementation on blood oxygen saturation. METHODS: We searched PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library databases from their inception up to October 2022. Two reviewers independently conducted two stages of the screening process to include a randomized controlled trial with nitrate supplementation versus placebo intervention assessing oxygen saturation among lowlanders going to either real or simulated high altitude environments. We used the Cochrane Risk of Bias 2.0 tool to assess the risk of bias in the included studies. Fixed-effect model meta-analyses were conducted for laboratory-based studies. Random-effect meta-analyses were conducted for real-world studies. RESULTS: We found 7 trials that met the eligibility criteria. A meta-analysis of studies with some bias concerns showed an increase of 1.26 % in the SpO2 with 44 % I2 during submaximal exercise at simulated high altitudes (GRADE: low). On the contrary, a meta-analysis of studies without heterogeneity showed that nitrate supplementation aggravated oxygen saturation decline (-2.64 %, p = 0.03, GRADE: high) during rest in real high-altitude environments. A meta-analysis also showed that nitrate supplementation did not affect Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) symptoms (GRADE: high). CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that nitrate supplementation did not provide benefits for AMS prevention during rest at high altitudes. The low-quality evidence showing small beneficial effects of nitrate supplementation during exercise calls for further studies.

This review aims to analyze the developmental trajectory of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) donors over the past three decades and explore the historical background, research hotspots, and emerging trends in related fields from a temporal perspective. A total of 5092 literature articles on H2S donors were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), encompassing 1303 journals, 20638 authors, 10992 institutions, and 459 countries and regions. Utilizing CiteSpace as a bibliometric tool, historical features, evolving active topics, and emerging trends in the field of H2S donors were identified. Over the past 30 years, the field of H2S donors has remained in a prominent stage. This article discusses both inorganic and organic types of H2S donors, including NaHS and Na2S, GYY4137, AP39, and AP123, as well as briefly outlines research and applications of H2S donors in nanotechnology, advanced materials, composite materials, nanostructures, and optical properties. Mechanistically, the review outlines how H2S donors regulate cellular signal transduction, anti-inflammatory responses, neuroprotection, and other pathways within the organism by modulating protein S-sulfhydration, antioxidant effects, and interactions with metal proteins. In terms of applications, the review summarizes the extensive use of H2S donors in biomedical research, encompassing cardiovascular, neurological, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer characteristics, as well as their potential applications in the treatment of metabolic diseases. Finally, challenges and limitations faced by H2S donor research are discussed, and potential future research directions are proposed.

BACKGROUND: Lung cancer is the most common cancer in the world and has become one of the malignancies with the highest incidence and mortality; more than half of patients die within one year of being diagnosed with lung cancer. In recent years, the concept of "patient-centered" service has gained popularity, and patients' subjective feelings have gradually been used in clinical decision-making. Therefore, this study determined the application of visual patient report outcomes in the field of lung cancer, in order to provide reference for specific clinical practice. METHODS: Using the Web of Science core collection as the main analysis content, Citespace and VOSviewer were used to conduct this scientometric study. RESULTS: A total of 499 literatures that met the inclusion criteria were retrieved. The most prolific institution was The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the United States dominates this field. CONCLUSION: The measurement of patient-reported outcomes is considered the gold standard for effectively evaluating patients' perceptions of clinical interventions or diseases. It is recommended that patient-reported outcomes be integrated into routine care for cancer patients in order to enhance communication between patients and healthcare providers. OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to identify the 100 most-cited and 100 most-mentioned coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19)-related radiological articles and compare their characteristics. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We searched the Web of Science and Altmetric.com using the search terms "COVID," "COVID-19," "Coronavirus," "SARS-CoV-2," "nCoV," and "pandemic" to identify the most-cited and most-mentioned COVID-19-related articles. We identified the top 100 most-cited and 100 most-mentioned articles in the field of radiology, regardless of their publication journal. We extracted the information from the listed articles and compared the characteristics between the most-cited and most-mentioned. RESULTS: Thirty (30%) articles were featured in the lists of the most-cited and most-mentioned articles. The comparison of the 100 most-cited and most-mentioned articles on each list showed that the most frequently cited articles were published in November 2020 and before (p < .001), originated from China (p < .001), covered the topic of diagnosis of COVID-19 (p < .001), and were related to the subspecialty of pulmonary imaging (p < .001); the most frequently mentioned articles were published in December 2020 and after (p < .001), originated from the USA (p < .001), covered the topic of diagnosis of sequelae of COVID-19 (p = .013) and post-vaccination complications (p < .001), and were related to the subspecialties of cardiac imaging (p < .001) and neuroradiology (p < .013). CONCLUSION: Significant differences were observed in publication date, country of origin, topic, and subspecialty of scientific knowledge related to COVID-19 in the field of radiology, between citation and public dissemination. CLINICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT: This bibliometric analysis compares the 100 most-cited and 100 most-mentioned COVID-19-related radiologic articles, aiming to provide valuable insights into the patterns of knowledge dissemination during the pandemic era. KEY POINTS: • Thirty articles were featured on the lists of the 100 most-cited and 100 most-mentioned COVID-19-related articles. • The 70 unique most-cited articles more frequently originated from China (48.6%), while the unique most-mentioned articles more frequently originated from the USA (51.4%) (p < 0.001). • The 70 unique most-mentioned articles were more frequently related to cardiac imaging (25.7% vs.0%, p < 0.001) and neuroradiology (15.7% vs. 1.4%, p < 0.005) compared to the unique most-mentioned articles.

The potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of medical research is unquestionable. Nevertheless, the scientific community has raised several concerns about a possible fraudulent use of these tools that might be used to generate inaccurate or, in extreme cases, erroneous messages that could find their way into the literature. In this experiment, we asked a generative AI program to write a technical report on a non-existing Magnetic Resonance Imaging technique called Magnetic Resonance Audiometry, receiving in return a full seemingly technically sound report, substantiated by equations and references. We have submitted this report to an international peer-reviewed indexed journal, passing the first round of review with only minor changes requested. With this experiment, we showed that the current peer-review system, already burdened by the overwhelming increase in number of publications, might be not ready to also handle the explosion of these techniques, showing the urgent need for the entire community to address both the issue of generative AI in scientific literature and probably a more profound discussion on the entire peer-review process. CLINICAL RELEVANCE STATEMENT: Generative AI models are shown to be able to create a full manuscript without any human intervention that can survive peer-review. Given the explosion of these techniques, a profound discussion on the entire peer-review process by the scientific community is mandatory. KEY POINTS: • The scientific community has raised several concerns about a possible fraudulent use of AI in scientific literature. • We asked a generative AI program to write a technical report on a non-existing technique, receiving in return a full technically sound report, substantiated by equations and references, that passed peer-review. • This experiment showed that the current peer-review system might be not ready to handle the explosion of generative AI techniques, advising for a profound discussion on the entire peer-review process.

INTRODUCTION: The percentage of women in surgical leadership roles is not commensurate with percent of women in field of surgery. Citation indexes are used as proxy for scholarly impact and may serve as an indicator of women's progress in academic surgery. We aimed to evaluate gender disparities in authorship of surgery manuscripts in high-impact journals. METHODS: In this bibliometric analysis of original research articles from four high-impact surgical journals from 2008 to 2010 (period A) and 2018-2020 (period B), the gender of primary and senior authors was assigned by Genderize.io. Number of citations per article was identified via Web of Science. Number of citations by gender of authors was compared across time periods. RESULTS: Of the 3575 articles (Period A = 1915; Period B = 1660), 962 (26.9%) had women as primary authors and 590 (17.2%) as senior authors. Over time, significant increases in women primary and senior authorship were noted from 22.8% to 31.7% (P < 0.001) and 13.9% (254/11,915) to 21% (336/1660), respectively (P < 0.001). Articles written with women primary authors had fewer median (interquartile range) citations than those by men as primary author in period A (39 [17-69.5] versus 42 [20.0-84.0]; P = 0.005). Gender parity was noted in period B (9 [4-19] versus 9 [4-20] citations; P = 0.307). In period A, articles written by women as both primary and senior authors had approximately 25% fewer median citations compared with those by men (34 [17-62] versus 44 [21-86]); P < 0.011), and this reached parity in period B (9 [4-20] versus 9 [4-21]); P < 0.658). CONCLUSIONS: Overall, gender authorship and citations parity are improving in high-impact surgery journals.

For many years, there has been ongoing research on the P2X7 receptor (P2X7R). A comprehensive, systematic, and objective evaluation of the scientific output and status of P2X7R will be instrumental in guiding future research directions. This study aims to present the status and trends of P2X7R research from 2002 to 2023. Publications related to P2X7R were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. Quantitative analysis and visualization tools were Microsoft Excel, VOSviewer, and CiteSpace software. The analysis content included publication trends, literature co-citation, and keywords. 3282 records were included in total, with the majority of papers published within the last 10 years. Based on literature co-citation and keyword analysis, neuroinflammation, neuropathic pain, gastrointestinal diseases, tumor microenvironment, rheumatoid arthritis, age-related macular degeneration, and P2X7R antagonists were considered to be the hotspots and frontiers of P2X7R research. Researchers will get a more intuitive understanding of the status and trends of P2X7R research from this study.

PURPOSE: The physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling has received increasing attention owing to its excellent predictive abilities. However, there has been no bibliometric analysis about PBPK modeling. This research aimed to summarize the research development and hot points in PBPK model utilization overall through bibliometric analysis. METHODS: We searched for publications related to the PBPK modeling from 1999 to 2023 in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database. The Microsoft Office Excel, CiteSpace and VOSviewers were used to perform the analyses. RESULTS: A total of 4,649 records from 1999 to 2023 were identified, and the largest number of publications focused in the period 2018-2023. The United States was the leading country, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was the leading institution. The journal Drug Metabolism and Disposition published and co-cited the most articles. Drug-drug interactions, special populations, and new drug development are the main topics in this research field. CONCLUSION: We first visualize the research landscape and hotspots of the PBPK modeling through bibliometric methods. Our study provides a better understanding for researchers, especially beginners about the dynamization of PBPK modeling and presents the relevant trend in the future.

Invasive candidiasis caused by the pathogenic Candida yeast species has resulted in elevating global mortality. The pathogenicity of Candida spp. is not only originated from its primary invasive yeast-to-hyphal transition; virulence factors (transcription factors, adhesins, invasins, and enzymes), biofilm, antifungal drug resistance, stress tolerance, and metabolic adaptation have also contributed to a greater clinical burden. However, the current research theme in fungal pathogenicity could hardly be delineated with the increasing research output. Therefore, our study analysed the research trends in Candida pathogenesis over the past 37 years via a bibliometric approach against the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Based on the 3993 unique documents retrieved, significant international collaborations among researchers were observed, especially between Germany (Bernhard Hube) and the UK (Julian Naglik), whose focuses are on Candida proteinases, adhesins, and candidalysin. The prominent researchers (Neils Gow, Alistair Brown, and Frank Odds) at the University of Exeter and the University of Aberdeen (second top performing affiliation) UK contribute significantly to the mechanisms of Candida adaptation, tolerance, and stress response. However, the science mapping of co-citation analysis performed herein could not identify a hub representative of subsequent work since the clusters were semi-redundant. The co-word analysis that was otherwise adopted, revealed three research clusters; the cluster-based thematic analyses indicated the severeness of Candida biofilm and antifungal resistance as well as the elevating trend on molecular mechanism elucidation for drug screening and repurposing. Importantly, the in vivo pathogen adaptation and interactions with hosts are crucial for potential vaccine development.


International research collaborations have evident its significance in impactful work covering all aspects of Candida pathogenicity. Its current, diverse research was discussed thematically based on the comprehensive scientometric analysis with unidentified hub representatives for subsequent work.

BACKGROUND: Inflammatory cytokines such as Interleukin 1ß(IL1ß), IL6,Tumor Necrosis Factor-α (TNF-α) can inhibit osteoblast differentiation and induce osteoblast apoptosis. PANoptosis, a newly identified type of programmed cell death (PCD), may be influenced by long noncoding RNA (lncRNAs) which play important roles in regulating inflammation. However, the potential role of lncRNAs in inflammation and PANoptosis during osteogenic differentiation remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the regulatory functions of lncRNAs in inflammation and apoptosis during osteogenic differentiation. METHODS AND RESULTS: High-throughput sequencing was used to identify differentially expressed genes involved in osteoblast differentiation under inflammatory conditions. Two lncRNAs associated with inflammation and PANoptosis during osteogenic differentiation were identified from sequencing data and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. Their functionalities were analyzed using diverse bioinformatics methodologies, resulting in the construction of the lncRNA-miRNA-mRNA network. Among these, lncRNA (MIR17HG) showed a high correlation with PANoptosis. Bibliometric methods were employed to collect literature data on PANoptosis, and its components were inferred. PCR and Western Blotting experiments confirmed that lncRNA MIR17HG is related to PANoptosis in osteoblasts during inflammation. CONCLUSIONS: Our data suggest that TNF-α-induced inhibition of osteogenic differentiation and PANoptosis in MC3T3-E1 osteoblasts is associated with MIR17HG. These findings highlight the critical role of MIR17HG in the interplay between inflammation, PANoptosis, and osteogenic differentiation, suggesting potential therapeutic targets for conditions involving impaired bone formation and inflammatory responses.

RESUMEN

PURPOSE: The purpose of this research is to further understand the research status and summarize the research hotspots of sleep disorder and cancer, so as to provide insights into future researches. METHODS: In this research, the publications pertaining to sleep disorders and cancer from 1992 to 2022 was retrieved from SCIE and SSCI databases in the Web of Science Core Collection. The subject, journal, country/regions, institutions, author, and citations of publications were descriptively analyzed and visual analysis. RESULTS: From 1992 to December 2022, a total of 732 relevant literatures were retrieved from WOS SCIE and SSCI databases, the number of publications showed an increasing trend year by year. These articles were published in 252 journals, and the three most productive journals included Supportive Care in Cancer (80 publications), Psycho-oncology (32 publications), and Journal of Pain and Symptom Management (32 publications). The three most productive countries included the USA (367 publications, 50.1%), China (133 publications, 18.2%), and Canada (97 publications, 13.25%), with total citations of 12,684, 1866, and 5263. The three latest hot keywords in this field were sleep duration, validity, and inflammation. CONCLUSION: The USA, China, and Canada produced a lot of literature in the research field of sleep disorders and cancer, and had relatively great academic influence from 1992 to 2022. Researchers could pay more attention to the published in journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Sleep, and Supportive Care in Cancer to timely grasp the latest progress and expand the breadth and depth in this area. Looking at the history of tumor and sleep disorder research in the past 20 years, the clinical treatment of sleep disorder caused by tumor and the direct bidirectional mechanism of the two may be a new focus of future research.

Heavy metals (HMs) have become a significant concern in the current era, with deleterious effects on diverse living organisms when exposed beyond threshold concentrations. Both nature and human beings have been constantly casting out HMs into environmental matrices through various activities. Innumerable cases of threatened diseases such as cancer, respiratory ailments, reproductive defects, skin diseases, and several others have been a cause of significant concern for humans as the number of instances has been increasing with each decade. HMs migrates via several pathways to infiltrate biological organisms and amass within them. Even though numerous treatment approaches are available for remediating HM pollution, however, they are expensive, along with other setbacks. Due to such constraints, combating HM contamination requires environmentally conscious strategies like bioremediation, which employs an array of biological systems to remove HMs from the environment. Nonetheless, to address the current global HM pollution situation, it is critical to comprehend not only how these hazardous HMs cause toxicity in various living organisms but also the knowledge gaps that currently exist concerning the subject of HM ecotoxicity. In the present investigation, data was extracted from Google Scholar using software program called Harzing's Publish or Perish. The collected information has been subsequently displayed as a network file using the VOSViewer software tool. Thus, the current review presents a significant insight with the inclusion of a readily accessible bibliometric analysis to comprehend the present status of HMs research, global research trends, existing knowledge discrepancies, and research challenges. Further, it also provides an in-depth review of HMs ecotoxicity, with a focus on arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), and lead (Pb). Thus, as indicated by the bibliometric study, the present review will assist future investigators studying HMs ecotoxicity by providing baseline data concerning a wide range of living organisms and by addressing research gaps.

Biochar-based organic fertilizer is a new type of ecological fertilizer formulated with organic fertilizers using biochar as the primary conditioning agent, which has received wide attention and application in recent years. This study conducted a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the main hot spots and research trends in the field of biochar-based organic fertilizer research by collecting indicators (publication year, number, prominent authors, and research institutions) in the Web of Science database. The results showed that the research in biochar-based organic fertilizer has been in a rapid development stage since 2015, with exponential growth in publications number; the main institution with the highest publications number was Northwest Agriculture & Forestry University; the researchers with the highest number of publications was Mukesh Kumar Awasthi; the most publications country is China by Dec 30, 2022. The hot spots of biochar-based organic fertilizer research have been nitrogen utilization, greenhouse gas emission, composting product quality and soil fertility. Biochar reduces ammonia volatilization and greenhouse gas emissions from compost mainly through adsorption. The results showed that adding 10% biochar was an effective measure to achieve co-emission reduction of ammonia and greenhouse gases in composting process. In addition, biochar modification or combination with other additives should be the focus of future research to mitigate ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions from composting processes.

RESUMEN

The frequent detection of persistent per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in organisms and environment coupled with surging evidence for potential detrimental impacts, have attracted widespread attention throughout the world. In order to reveal research hotspots and trends of technologies for PFAS removal, herein, we performed a data-driven analysis of 3975 papers and 436 patents from Web of Science Core Collection and Derwent Innovation Index databases up to 2023. The results showed that China and the USA led the way in the research of PFAS removal with outstanding contributions to publications. The progression generally transitioned from accidental discovery of decomposition, to experimentation with removal effects and mechanisms of existing methods, and finally to enhanced defluorination and mechanism-driven design approaches. The keywords co-occurrence network and technology classification together revealed the main knowledge framework, which was constructed and correlated through contaminants, substrates, materials, processes and properties. Moreover, adsorption was demonstrated to be the dominant removal process among the current studies. Subsequently, we concluded the principles, advances and drawbacks of enrichment and separation, biological methods, advanced oxidation and reduction processes. Further exploration indicated the hotspots such as alternatives and precursors for PFAS ("genx": 1.258, "f-53b": 0.337), degradable mineralization technologies ("photocatalytic degrad": 0.529, "hydrated electron": 0.374), environment-friendly remediation technologies ("phytoremedi": 0.939, "constructed wetland": 0.462) and combination with novel materials ("metal-organic framework": 1.115, "layered double hydroxid": 0.559) as well as computer science ("molecular dynamics simul": 0.559, "machine learn"). Furthermore, the future direction of technological innovation might lie in high-performance processes that minimize secondary pollution, the development of recyclable and renewable treatment agents, and collaborative control strategies for multiple pollutants. Overall, this study offers comprehensive and objective review for researchers and industry professionals in this field, enabling rapid access to knowledge guidance and insights into research frontiers.
