RESUMEN

La tetralogía de Fallotes el defecto cardíaco congénito cianótico más común; con cuatro malformaciones estructurales obstrucción del tracto de salida del ventrículo derecho, comunicación interventricular, dextroposición de la aorta con acabalgamiento sobre el tabique interventricular e hipertrofia ventricular derecha. La presentación clínica depende del grado de obstrucción del flujo de salida del ventrículo derecho. El diagnóstico definitivo generalmente se realiza mediante ecocardiografía. (AU)

ABSTRACT

The tetralogy of Fallot is the most common cyanotic congenital heart defect with four structural malformations right ventricular outflow tract obstruction, intraventricular communication, dextroposition of the aorta so that it overrides the ventricular septum and right ventricular hypertrophy. The clinical presentation is dependent upon the degree of right ventricular outflow obstruction. The definitive diagnosis is typically made by echocardiography. (AU)
