Background and purpose: Measuring nurses' perceptions of the activities contributing to the quality of care needs to be emphasized, providing visibility to professional practice and their contributions to achieving health quality. This study aimed to translate, validate, and culturally adapt the "Perception of Nursing Activities that Contribute to the Quality of Care" (EPAECQC), scale to provide a reliable instrument to assist nurse managers in measuring nurses' perceptions of their activities in French reality. Methods: A quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study, in two phases, was conducted. First, by translation and cultural adaptation, and second, through the validation of the scale. Results: The factor structure of the final version was reduced to 22 items. Content and construct validity and reliability were supported by internal consistency (Cronbachs' alpha = .913). Conclusions: The results show that the final version is a reliable and valid instrument, showing a high potential to be used in research and clinical practice.

O artigo discorre sobre o tema da alteridade em psicanálise definido como um tipo de diferença absoluta, lugar da causa, da exceção, do impossível de ser simbolizado que orienta todo ato de fala. Freud o situou a partir do estado original humano de desamparo; Lacan, através da linguagem. A alteridade é apresentada em três modalidades: imaginária, simbólica e real. Na imaginária, é encontrada no que não adquire imagem na relação especular; na simbólica, na própria Ordem Simbólica, incapaz de tudo nomear; na real, comparece como o que insiste sempre como obstáculo à simbolização. A modernidade produziu um sujeito prisioneiro do sentimento inconsciente de culpa em decorrência do recalque da dívida simbólica com o Outro. A contemporaneidade é fruto de importantes modificações na estrutura discursiva que fazem obstáculo à supremacia do recalque como tratamento da economia libidinal. Isso não produz necessariamente a psicose. Freud situou a neurose como o negativo da perversão.


The article discusses the theme of alterity in psychoanalysis defined as a type of absolute difference, place of the cause, of the exception, of the impossible to be symbolized that guides every speech act. Freud placed it from the original human state of helplessness; Lacan, through language. Alterity is presented in three modalities: imaginary, symbolic and real. In the imaginary, it is found in what doesn't acquire an image in the specular relation; in the symbolic, in the Symbolic Order itself, unable to name everything; in real mode, he appears as the one who always insists as an obstacle to symbolization. Modernity produced a subject prisoner of the unconscious feeling of guilt due to the repression of the symbolic debt to the Other. Contemporaneity is the result of important changes in the discursive structure that hinder the supremacy of repression as a treatment of the libidinal economy. This does not necessarily produce psychosis, not least because Freud placed neurosis as the negative of perversion.

Following the recent advances in wireless communication leading to increased Internet of Things (IoT) systems, many security threats are currently ravaging IoT systems, causing harm to information. Considering the vast application areas of IoT systems, ensuring that cyberattacks are holistically detected to avoid harm is paramount. Machine learning (ML) algorithms have demonstrated high capacity in helping to mitigate attacks on IoT devices and other edge systems with reasonable accuracy. However, the dynamics of operation of intruders in IoT networks require more improved IDS models capable of detecting multiple attacks with a higher detection rate and lower computational resource requirement, which is one of the challenges of IoT systems. Many ensemble methods have been used with different ML classifiers, including decision trees and random forests, to propose IDS models for IoT environments. The boosting method is one of the approaches used to design an ensemble classifier. This paper proposes an efficient method for detecting cyberattacks and network intrusions based on boosted ML classifiers. Our proposed model is named BoostedEnML. First, we train six different ML classifiers (DT, RF, ET, LGBM, AD, and XGB) and obtain an ensemble using the stacking method and another with a majority voting approach. Two different datasets containing high-profile attacks, including distributed denial of service (DDoS), denial of service (DoS), botnets, infiltration, web attacks, heartbleed, portscan, and botnets, were used to train, evaluate, and test the IDS model. To ensure that we obtained a holistic and efficient model, we performed data balancing with synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) and adaptive synthetic (ADASYN) techniques; after that, we used stratified K-fold to split the data into training, validation, and testing sets. Based on the best two models, we construct our proposed BoostedEnsML model using LightGBM and XGBoost, as the combination of the two classifiers gives a lightweight yet efficient model, which is part of the target of this research. Experimental results show that BoostedEnsML outperformed existing ensemble models in terms of accuracy, precision, recall, F-score, and area under the curve (AUC), reaching 100% in each case on the selected datasets for multiclass classification.

A quality monitoring system for telecommunication services is relevant for network operators because it can help to improve users' quality-of-experience (QoE). In this context, this article proposes a quality monitoring system, named Q-Meter, whose main objective is to improve subscriber complaint detection about telecommunication services using online-social-networks (OSNs). The complaint is detected by sentiment analysis performed by a deep learning algorithm, and the subscriber's geographical location is extracted to evaluate the signal strength. The regions in which users posted a complaint in OSN are analyzed using a freeware application, which uses the radio base station (RBS) information provided by an open database. Experimental results demonstrated that sentiment analysis based on a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a bidirectional long short-term memory (BLSTM)-recurrent neural network (RNN) with the soft-root-sign (SRS) activation function presented a precision of 97% for weak signal topic classification. Additionally, the results showed that 78.3% of the total number of complaints are related to weak coverage, and 92% of these regions were proved that have coverage problems considering a specific cellular operator. Moreover, a Q-Meter is low cost and easy to integrate into current and next-generation cellular networks, and it will be useful in sensing and monitoring tasks.

Resumo Contexto: A ansiedade é uma emoção, traduz-se num mecanismo adaptativo e transitório em resposta a stressores, cursa com o aumento da atividade autonómica, favorece o desenvolvimento e desempenho da pessoa, promove a criatividade e a cooperação interpessoal. O Biofeedback (BFB) é uma técnica mente-corpo, na qual se aprende como modificar a fisiologia, com o objetivo de melhorar a saúde física, mental, emocional e espiritual da própria pessoa. Objetivos: Identificar a eficácia do BFB na redução da ansiedade e da sintomatologia associada na pessoa adulta; conhecer os instrumentos utilizados na avaliação; analisar a complementaridade do BFB e outras técnicas de intervenção. Métodos: Nesta revisão integrativa da literatura (RIL) recorreu-se à estratégia P[I][C]OD na elaboração da questão de pesquisa: "Qual a eficácia do BFB na redução da ansiedade e sintomatologia associada na pessoa adulta?". A pesquisa realizou-se em março de 2019, nas bases de dados MEDLINE complete, CINAHL complete e Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection através da plataforma EBSCO, com descritores (MESH): "biofeedback" e "anxiety". Estudos publicados entre 2015-2019; idiomas: português, inglês e espanhol; disponíveis em texto completo. Amostra com 14 artigos. Resultados: O BFB evidenciou eficácia no controlo da ansiedade e sintomatologia associada em jovens universitários, grávidas, atletas, pessoas com perturbação de ansiedade. Em alguns estudos, o BFB é utilizado com outras técnicas: relaxamento, respiração, imaginação guiada e mindfulness. Conclusões: Existe evidência científica da eficácia do BFB na redução da ansiedade e da sintomatologia associada, ainda mais evidente quando combinado com outras técnicas.


Abstract Background: Anxiety is an emotion, it translates into an adaptive and transient mechanism in response to stressors, it increases autonomic activity, favours the development and performance of the person, promotes creativity and interpersonal cooperation. Biofeedback (BFB) is a mind-body technique in which one learns how to modify physiology to improve one's physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Aim: To identify the efficacy of BFB in reducing anxiety and associated symptoms in adults. know the instruments used in the assessment; analyze the complementarity of the BFB and other intervention techniques. Methods: In this integrative literature review, the P[I][C]OD strategy was used to elaborate the research question: "How effective is BFB in reducing anxiety and associated symptomatology in adults?". The research was conducted in March 2019 in the databases MEDLINE complete, CINAHL complete and Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection through the EBSCO platform, with descriptors (MESH): "biofeedback" and "anxiety". Studies published 2015-2019 were included; Languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish; available in full text. Sample with 14 articles. Results: BFB showed efficacy in controlling anxiety and associated symptoms in college students, pregnant women, athletes, people with anxiety disorder. In some studies, BFB is used with other techniques: relaxation, breathing, guided imagination and mindfulness. Conclusions: There is scientific evidence of the efficacy of BFB in reducing anxiety and associated symptomatology, even more evident when combined with other techniques.

Minimizing human intervention in engines, such as traffic lights, through automatic applications and sensors has been the focus of many studies. Thus, Deep Learning (DL) algorithms have been studied for traffic signs and vehicle identification in an urban traffic context. However, there is a lack of priority vehicle classification algorithms with high accuracy, fast processing, and a lightweight solution. For filling those gaps, a vehicle detection system is proposed, which is integrated with an intelligent traffic light. Thus, this work proposes (1) a novel vehicle detection model named Priority Vehicle Image Detection Network (PVIDNet), based on YOLOV3, (2) a lightweight design strategy for the PVIDNet model using an activation function to decrease the execution time of the proposed model, (3) a traffic control algorithm based on the Brazilian Traffic Code, and (4) a database containing Brazilian vehicle images. The effectiveness of the proposed solutions were evaluated using the Simulation of Urban MObility (SUMO) tool. Results show that PVIDNet reached an accuracy higher than 0.95, and the waiting time of priority vehicles was reduced by up to 50%, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed solution.

Este artigo registra alguns resultados da pesquisa realizada durante o atendimento de dois pacientes no Projeto de Atendimento Temporário de Psicoterapia de Urgência, oferecido por uma universidade privada. Trata inicialmente do aumento das manifestações psíquicas patológicas resultantes da "urgência subjetiva" produzida pela pandemia da Covid-19 como ameaça à manutenção da vida. Destaca os principais pontos da obra freudiana concernentes à importância da organização anal da libido e das fezes como objeto de satisfação pulsional. O complexo de castração é responsável por permitir que os objetos adquiram a significação fálica capaz de equivaler as fezes ao dinheiro. O dinheiro é um dos objetos para veicular as fixações decorrentes da fase anal de organização da libido. Acrescenta que a relação de cada sujeito com o dinheiro pode se apresentar na transferência como exigência de satisfação pulsional autoerótica. A repetição indica o lugar do sujeito e do Outro na fantasia inconsciente. Assim, a gratuidade pode se tornar um veículo de gozo caso não seja simbolizada a existência de um outro tipo de ganho: para o paciente, conhecimento sobre seu modo de gozo; para o analista em formação, uma oportunidade de aprender algo que desconhecia; para o supervisor, uma investigação pertinente à sua pesquisa


Cet ouvrage reproduit certains résultats de la recherche menée au cours des soins de deux patients dans le cadre du Projet temporaire de soins de psychothérapie d'urgence, offert par une université privée. Il traite d'abord de l'augmentation des manifestations psychiques pathologiques résultant de l'«urgence subjective¼ produite par la pandémie covid-19 comme une menace au maintien de la vie. Il met en évidence les principaux points du travail freudien concernant l'importance de l'organisation anale de la libido et des excréments comme objet partiel de satisfaction motrice. Le complexe de castration est responsable de permettre aux objets d'acquérir une signification phallique capable d'assimiler les excréments à l'argent. L'argent est l'un des objets pour transmettre les fixations découlant de la phase anale de l'organisation de la libido. Il stipule que la relation de chaque sujet avec l'argent peut se présenter en transfert comme une exigence de satisfaction de pulsion autoérotique. La répétition de cette exigence indique la place du sujet et de l'Autre dans la fantaisie inconsciente. Ainsi, la gratuité peut devenir un vecteur de jouissance si l'existence d'un autre type de gain n'est pas symbolisée : pour le patient, la connaissance de son mode de jouissance ; pour l'analyste en formation, l'occasion d'apprendre quelque chose qu'il ne savait pas; pour le superviseur, une investigation capable d'avancer ses recherches


This article reports some results of the research conducted during the care of two patients in the Temporary Emergency Psychotherapy Care Project, offered by a private university. It initially deals with the increase in pathological psychic manifestationsresulting from the "subjective urgency" produced by the Covid-19 pandemic as a threat to the maintenance of life. It highlights the main points of freudian work concerning the importance of anal organization of libido and feces as a partial object of drive satisfaction. The castration complex is responsible for allowing objects to acquire phallic significance capable of equating feces to money. Money is one of the objects to convey the fixations arising from the anal phase of organization of libido. It states that the relationship of each subject with money can present itself in transfer as a requirement of autoerotic drive satisfaction. The repetition of this requirement indicates the place of the subject and the Other in unconscious fantasy. Thus, gratuity can become a vehicle of jouissance if the existence of another type of gain is not symbolized: for the patient, knowledge about his mode of enjoyment; for the analyst in training, an opportunity to learn something he did not know; for the supervisor, an investigation to contribute to his research

O artigo tem como objetivo geral compreender a percepção de segurança e risco de contágio por Covid-19 durante as vivências de lazer do residente do Rio Grande do Norte. E do ponto de vista específico, traçar um panorama da pandemia no estado potiguar; analisar o perfil socioeconômico dos pesquisados; identificar os espaços e vivências de lazer com menor risco de contágio no segundo semestre de 2020. Trata-se de um estudo exploratório, com a utilização de dados primários e secundários e amostra não-probabilística. De forma geral, os resultados apontam que os respondentes se sentem mais seguros em desenvolver atividades em áreas naturais e menos seguros em espaços com capacidade de maior aglomeração de pessoas. Por fim, acredita-se que os protocolos de segurança auxiliarão na confiança e retomadas de determinadas vivências de forma lenta e gradual.


The article has the general objective to understand the perception of safety and risk of Covid-19 contagion during leisure experiences of Rio Grande do Norte's residents. And from the specific point of view, to outline a panorama of the pandemic in the state of Rio Grande do Norte; to analyze the socioeconomic profile of those surveyed; to identify leisure spaces and experiences with a lower risk of contagion for enjoyment in the second half of 2020. This is an exploratory study, using primary and secondary data and a non-probabilistic sample. In general, the results indicate that respondents feel safer in developing activities in natural areas and less safe in spaces with a greater capacity for gatherings. Finally, it is believed that security protocols will assist in the confidence and resumption of certain leisure experiences in a slow and gradual way.

OBJECTIVE: We perform a systematically search, appraise and synthesize of the best available evidence on the effectiveness of Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) in the adults with schizophrenia, in any setting, regarding anxiety, personal and social functioning, cognition, and well-being. METHOD: Major databases were searched to find both published and unpublished studies from inception until April 2017, using Schizophren* AND Relax* as keywords, and studies published in Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, French were considered for inclusion in this review. Methodological quality was assessed by two independent reviewers using the Critical Appraisal Checklist for Randomized Controlled Trials from the Joanna Briggs Institute. RESULTS: From a total of 1172 studies, five studies, involving 216 adults with schizophrenia, met the inclusion criteria for this systematic review after assessment of their methodological quality. These studies reported benefits in experimental group participants after PMR intervention on anxiety (assessed with State anxiety inventory, Beck Anxiety Inventory and Spielberger Trait Anxiety Inventory), well-being (assessed with Subjective Exercise Experiences Scale) and personal and social functioning (assessed with Sheehan Disability Scale and Therapist Rating Scale). CONCLUSIONS: Evidence suggests that PMR was effective in adults diagnosed with schizophrenia, except in one study where was only effective when combined with education. Thus, PMR may be useful to decrease state anxiety, improve well-being and social functioning in adults diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, due to the diversity of clinical intervention designs of PMR (different number and length of sessions) and outcome assessment scales, no strong evidence was found in this systematic review.

O artigo parte de interrogações sobre o possível diálogo entre a educação e a psicanálise. Freud reconhecia a importância da educação para a civilização, mas criticava a pedagogia de sua época por repercutir a moral civilizada moderna, causando neuroses. Os fins da educação são maléficos se desconhecerem os desejos inconscientes e os conflitos que eles provocam diante das exigências domundo externo. A teoria sobre a sexualidade infantil permitiu que se pensasse em uma educação ou uma pedagogia psicanalítica. Mas esta esperança terminou quando Freud construiu a segunda teoria pulsional. Se em 1911 ele definia a educação como um incentivo à conquista do princípio do prazer e à sua substituição pelo princípio de realidade, em 1925, advertido pela pulsão de morte, passou a situar a educação como uma das três profissões impossíveis. Educar, analisar e governar são tarefas impossíveis porque, filhas da ciência moderna, partem do real como impossível


L'article part de questions sur le dialogue possible entre l'éducation et la psychanalyse. Freud a reconnu l'importance de l'éducation pour la civilisation, mais il a critiqué la pédagogie de son temps pour refléter la morale civilisée moderne, provoquant des névroses. Les fins de l'éducation sont néfastes si elles ignorent les désirs inconscients et les conflits qu'elles provoquent face aux exigences du monde extérieur. La théorie de la sexualité infantile nous a permis de penser à une psychanalyse ou à une éducation pédagogique. Mais cet espoir s'est terminé lorsque Freud a construit la deuxième théorie de la pulsion. Si, en 1911, il définit l'éducation comme une incitation à conquérir le principe du plaisir et à le remplacer par le principe de réalité, en 1925, averti par la pulsion de mort, il commence à placer l'éducation comme l'une des trois professions impossibles. Éduquer, analyser et gouverner sont des tâches impossibles car, filles de la science moderne, elles partent du réel comme impossible


The article starts from questions about the possible dialogue between education and psychoanalysis. Freud recognized the importance of education for civilization, but he criticized the pedagogy of his time for reflecting modern civilized morality, causing neuroses. The ends of education are harmful if they are unaware of the unconscious desires and the conflicts they cause in the face of the demands of the outside world. The theory of child sexuality allowed us to think about an education or a pedagogy psychoanalytic. But this hope ended when Freud constructed the second drive theory. If, in 1911, he defined education as an incentive to conquer the pleasure principle and replace it with the reality principle, in 1925, warned by the death drive, he started to place education as one of the three impossible professions. This study assessed the percentage of untouched canal areas and the amount of debris accumulation after canal preparation with ProTaper Next (PTN) and Twisted File Adaptive (TFA) systems using micro-computed tomographic (micro-CT) imaging. Twenty isthmus-containing mesial roots of mandibular molars were anatomically matched through micro-CT evaluation and randomly assigned to one of the two experimental groups (n = 10), according to the system used for canal preparation: PTN (X1 and X2 files using rotary motion) and TFA (SM1 and SM2 files using adaptive motion). After canal preparation up to ISO size 25, the specimens were then scanned and the matched images of the mesial canals, before and after preparation, were examined from the furcation level to the apex to quantify the untouched surface canal areas and to evaluate the amount of accumulated debris. An independent samples t-test and a Mann-Whitney test were used, respectively, to compare these variables between the groups with a significance level set at 5%. Root canals prepared with either PTN or TFA systems were found to present similar untouched canal surface areas (P = 0.52) and hard-tissue debris accumulation (P = 0.39). Both systems produced a suboptimal and similar mechanical preparation of the mesial canals of mandibular molars and were not able to yield root canals completely free from packed hard-tissue debris.

O artigo trata das filiações natural e adotiva na teoria e na clínica psicanalítica a partir dos desdobramentos de uma interrogação mais ampla sobre os efeitos da revolução cultural e sexual subsequente aos acontecimentos de maio/1968. A psicanálise define a família como efeito do desejo sexual decorrente da incidência dos complexos de Édipo e de castração no homem e na mulher. Por isso, se contrapõe às ideologias revolucionárias que pregam a filiação afetiva e a paternidade sociológica. Nas famílias naturais, em que os filhos são concebidos através da relação sexual, o exercício da autoridade parental funda-se na certeza de um direito instituído pelo laço de sangue e não apenas pelo desejo e pelo amor. Como os pais adotivos se autorizam a exercer a função de pai e de mãe? Esse ponto merece cuidado, pois não é possível abolir as consequências das diferenças relativas ao modo como uma criança é concebida

RESUMEN

No mundo moderno educar é submeter os indivíduos às configurações simbólicas de uma determinada época, cultura e lugar. Sob a p rimazia do simbólico significava enquadrar o funcionamento subjetivo de acordo com os papeis sociais, desenvolver a autonomia, a capacidade crítica necessária para julgar a realidade, bem como a responsabilidade para com as ações decorrentes. A escola dava prosseguimento a esta tarefa propiciando educação e socialização secundárias. A desobediência às regras podia e devia ser punida para restituir a medida do comportamento. Os atos de violência, geralmente individuais, podiam ser reprimidos com o amparo da instituição e o devido consentimento da família. A subjetividade contemporânea foi erigida sob a chancela do "é proibido proibir". Essa máxima desmente o real como impossível, aniquila os efeitos do recalque, abala as configurações simbólicas produzindo ef eitos de ruptura no laço social. A violência é uma das manifestações da ruptura do tecido simbólico


Dans le monde moderne, éduquer, c'est soumettre les individus aux configurations symboliques d'une certaine époque, d'une culture et d'um certain lieu. Sous la primauté du symbolique, cela signifiait encadrer le fonctionnement subjectif selon les rôles sociaux, dé velopper l'autonomie, la capacité critique nécessaire pour juger la réalité, ainsi que la responsabilité des actions qui en résultent. L'école poursuivait cette tâche en assurant l'éducation secondaire et la socialisation. La désobéissance aux règles pourr ait et devrait être punie pour rétablir la mesure du comportement. Les actes de violence, généralement individuels, pourraient être réprimés avec le soutien de l'institution et le consentement approprié de la famille. La subjectivité contemporaine a été ér igée sous le sceau de "l'interdiction de la prohibition". Cette maxime nie le réel comme impossible, ele anéantit aussi les effets de la répression et ébranle les configurations symboliques, en produisant des effets de rupture dans le lien social. Contemporary subjectivity was erected under the banner of "prohibiting prohibition". This maxim denies the real as impossible, annihilates the e ffects of repression, shakes the symbolic configurations producing effects of rupture in the social bond. As transformações no contexto contemporâneo do trabalho têm significativo impacto sobre a construção de trajetórias profissionais, configurando novos modelos de carreira. Esta investigação teve como objetivo analisar os fundamentos teóricos e epistemológicos que sustentam as produções científicas nacionais em estudos empíricos sobre desenvolvimento de carreira de estudantes de graduação. Realizou-se uma revisão sistemática da literatura, composta por 19 trabalhos obtidos mediante consulta eletrônica nas fontes Portal de Periódicos CAPES, BVS Psicologia Brasil, Banco de Teses e Dissertações CAPES e Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. Os estudos analisados utilizaram-se predominantemente de abordagens de natureza construtivista e de perspectivas ligadas aos quadrantes subjetivos, relacionados à sociologia da regulação. No tocante aos eixos temáticos em Psicologia Organizacional e do Trabalho, houve predomínio de estudos relacionados ao eixo do comportamento. Recomenda-se o avanço na exploração da temática em outros estudos nacionais no âmbito da formação superior.


The transformations that characterize the contemporary context of the labor market have significant impact on the construction of professional trajectories, constituting new career models. This study aimed to analyze the theoretical and epistemological principles that support the Brazilian scientific production in empirical studies about career development of undergraduate students. Therefore, a systematic literature review was performed; it was composed of 19 articles obtained from online searches of the following sources: Portal de Periódicos CAPES, BVS Psicologia Brasil, Banco de Teses e Dissertações CAPES, and Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. The studies analyzed were predominantly based on constructivist approaches and perspectives linked to the subjective quadrants, related to the sociology of regulation. Regarding the thematic axes in Work and Organizational Psychology, there was a predominance of studies related to the behavioral axis. Further research on the subject in studies on Brazil in the undergraduate context is recommended.


Las transformaciones en el contexto contemporáneo del mundo laboral influyen en la construcción de trayectorias profesionales, configurando nuevos modelos de carrera. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar los fundamentos teóricos y epistemológicos que apoyan las producciones científicas nacionales en estudios empíricos sobre el desarrollo de carrera de los estudiantes de la enseñanza superior. Para eso, se realizó una revisión integradora de la literatura, compuesta por 19 trabajos obtenidos del Portal de Periódicos CAPES, BVS Psicologia Brasil, Banco de Teses e Dissertações CAPES y Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. Los trabajos analizados utilizaron predominantemente enfoques con naturaleza constructivista y perspectivas vinculadas a los cuadrantes subjetivos, relacionados con la sociología de la regulación. En cuanto a los ejes temáticos en Psicología del Trabajo y de las Organizaciones, hubo predominancia de investigaciones relacionadas con el eje comportamental. Se recomienda el avance en la exploración de la temática en otros estudios nacionales en el ámbito de la formación superior.

Relapse is associated with a poor prognosis among drug users. Crack cocaine users are more prone to severe dependence because of the intensity of use. Additionally, initiating drug use during adolescence worsens users' prognosis due to the increased rates of impulsivity and other risk behaviors. This study aimed to identify the predictors of early relapse among adolescent crack users discharged from inpatient treatment. A cohort study was conducted with 89 psychiatric inpatients aged 12-17 years from two different hospitals in southern Brazil who met the criteria for crack abuse or dependence. Demographic data, substance use disorders, psychiatric comorbidities, and crack consumption profile were assessed during hospitalization using the Teen Addiction Severity Index, Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia for School Age Children-Present and Lifetime, and Crack Consumption Profile. Participants were re-assessed at 1 and 3 months after hospital discharge to determine their crack cocaine use based on self-report, family/caregiver information, and urine tests, whenever possible. There were extremely high rates of relapse (valid percent) in the first and third months, 65.9 and 86.4%, respectively. Statistically significant associations were observed between relapse in the first month and length of cocaine/crack cocaine use, and length of hospital stay. Data at 3 months were not analyzed because of the small number of patients who did not relapse. The high rates and significant associations found in this study suggest that intensive outpatient treatment strategies targeting this population should be developed and implemented to prevent early relapse after detoxification. One of the possible approaches, based on recent studies, might explore motivation as a strategy to reduce the rate of early relapse.

A participative pedagogical tool, simulation aids the transfer of competencies in relation to the complex situation of announcing health care-associated harm. The aim is to reinforce patient safety and to improve the quality of communication with patients and between health professionals.

ABSTRACT Objective The objective of the present study was to evaluate 88 adolescent crack users referred to hospitalization and to follow them up after discharge to investigate relapse and factors associated with treatment. Methods Cohort (30 and 90 days after discharge) from a psychiatric hospital and a rehab clinic for treatment for chemical dependency in Porto Alegre between 2011 and 2012. Instruments: Semi-structured interview, conducted to evaluate the sociodemographic profile of the sample and describe the pattern of psychoactive substance use; Crack Use Relapse Scale/CURS; Questionnaire Tracking Users to Crack/QTUC; K-SADS-PL. Results In the first follow-up period (30 days after discharge), 65.9% of participants had relapsed. In the second follow-up period (90 days after discharge), 86.4% of participants had relapsed. Conclusion This is one of the first studies that show the extremely high prevalence of early relapse in adolescent crack users after discharge, questioning the cost/benefit of inpatient treatment for this population. Moreover, these results corroborate studies which suggested, young psychostimulants users might need tailored intensive outpatient treatment with contingency management and other behavioral strategies, in order to increase compliance and reduce drug or crime relapse, but this specific therapeutic modality is still scarce and must be developed in Brazil.


RESUMO Objetivo O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar 88 adolescentes usuários de crack no que se refere à hospitalização e dar-lhes seguimento após a alta, para investigar as recaídas e os fatores associados ao tratamento. Métodos Coorte (30 e 90 dias após a alta) de um hospital psiquiátrico e uma clínica de reabilitação, para o tratamento de dependência química em Porto Alegre, entre 2011 e 2012. Instrumentos: entrevista semiestruturada, realizada para avaliar o perfil sociodemográfico da amostra e descrever o padrão de uso de substâncias psicoativas; Escala de Recaída dos Usuários de Crack/ERUC; Questionário de Seguimento de Usuários de Crack/QSUC; K-SADS-PL. Resultados No primeiro período de seguimento (30 dias após a alta), 65,9% dos participantes recaíram. No segundo período de seguimento (90 dias após a alta), 86,4% dos participantes tiveram recaíram. Conclusão Este é um dos primeiros estudos que mostram a prevalência extremamente alta de recaída precoce em adolescentes usuários de crack após a alta, questionando o custo-benefício do tratamento em regime de internação para essa população. Além disso, esses resultados corroboram estudos que sugerem que usuários de psicoestimulantes jovens podem precisar de um adaptado Tratamento Ambulatorial Intensivo, com manejo de contingências e outras estratégias comportamentais, a fim de aumentar a adesão, reduzir o uso da droga ou recaída ao crime. No entanto, essa modalidade terapêutica específica ainda é escassa e deve ser desenvolvida no Brasil.

Objetivos: Avaliar o papel do pigmento de Lawsonia inermis (henna) como carreador de antígenos em esquema de vacinação transcutânea em camundongos.Métodos: Camundongos foram imunizados por via transcutânea na pele do abdômen e na pele da orelha com antígeno bruto de Paracoccidioides brasiliensis e com albumina sérica bovina nas concentrações de 1, 10 e 50 mg/mL, por três vezes em intervalos de uma semana, na presença ou ausência de pigmentos de L. inermis. Uma semana após a última imunização, foram avaliadas a presença de anticorpos anti-antígenos no soro, das citocinas interleucina-4 e interferon-? e de óxido nítrico em sobrenadante de cultura.Resultados: Não foram detectados anticorpos específicos anti-antígenos de P.brasiliensis ou albumina sérica bovina no soro. No foram encontradas diferenças significativas na produção de óxido nítrico e nos níveis de interleucina-4 e interferon-? em sobrenadantes de cultura celular.Conclusões: As vacinações transcutâneas com antígeno bruto de P. brasiliensis e albumina sérica bovina em suspensão de pigmento de L. inermis não produziram resposta antigênica detectável em camundongos.


Aims: To evaluate the role of pigment Lawsonia inermis (henna) as a carrier of antigens in transcutaneous vaccination in mice.Methods: Mice were immunized transcutaneously into the skin of the abdomen and the ear?s skin with crude antigen of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis and with bovine serum albumin at concentrations of 1, 10 and 50 mg/mL, three times at one week intervals in the presence or absence of pigments L. inermis. One week after last immunization, the animals were evaluated for the presence of serum antibodies, interleucin-4 and interferon-g cytokines, and nitric oxide in culture supernatants.Results: No specific antibodies were detected to P. brasiliensis or bovine serum albumin antigens. There were no significant differences in the production of nitric oxide, interleucin-4 and interferon-g in supernatants of cell culture.Conclusions: Transcutaneous immunization with crude antigen of P. brasiliensis or bovine serum albumin suspended in pigment of L. inermis produced no detectable antigenic response in mice.

OBJECTIVE: to identify the needs of nursing students in the field of relational competencies. METHOD: qualitative study with an exploratory-descriptive nature. The random sample included 62 students in the 2nd year of the nursing undergraduate program of a school located in the central region of Portugal. The inclusion criterion was the nonexistence of clinical teaching. Data were collected through a form designed to assess relational needs; content analysis was used to analyze data. RESULTS: the results indicated that the students' concept of nursing care at this stage of their education is focused on the performance of nursing tasks and techniques instead of on scientific knowledge. Overall, they are aware that greater personal development and better self-knowledge are determinant for their personal and social well-being and for them to become good professionals. CONCLUSION: these results will support the improvement of an intervention program to be developed with these students.

MÉTODO: estudo, qualitativo com características exploratório-descritivas, a amostra aleatória incluiu 62 estudantes do 2º ano do Curso de Licenciatura em Enfermagem (Escola da Região Centro de Portugal). Considerou-se como critério de selecção a inexistência de realização de Ensino Clínico. Coleta de dados realizada por meio da Ficha de Avaliação de Necessidades Relacionais com análise de conteúdo dos dados. RESULTADOS: indicaram que nesta fase da formação, os estudantes detêm um conceito de cuidar em Enfermagem centrado na execução de tarefas e técnicas de enfermagem em vez de na cientificidade do saber em Enfermagem e, que globalmente estão cientes que um maior desenvolvimento pessoal, um melhor conhecimento de si será determinante para o bem-estar pessoal e social e ser um bom profissional. CONCLUSÃO: as evidências permitirão aprimorar o programa de intervenção a desenvolver com estes estudantes.

MÉTODO: estudio, cualitativo con características exploratorio-descriptivas, la muestra aleatoria incluyó 62 estudiantes del 2º año del Curso de Licenciatura en Enfermería (Escuela de la Región Centro de Portugal). Se consideró como criterio de selección la inexistencia de realización de Enseño Clínico. Recogida de datos realizada por medio de la Ficha de Evaluación de Necesidades Relacionales con análisis de contenido de los datos. RESULTADOS: indicaron que en esta fase de la formación, los estudiantes detienen un concepto de cuidar en Enfermería centrado en la ejecución de tareas y técnicas de enfermería en vez de en la cientificidad del saber en Enfermería y, que globalmente saben que un mayor desarrollo personal, un mejor conocimiento de sí será determinante para el bienestar personal y social y serán buenos profesionales. CONCLUSIÓN: las evidencias permitirán apurar el programa de intervención a desarrollar con estos estudiantes.
