RESUMEN

Endometrial large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) is a highly malignant tumor that presents with neuroendocrine function. It is difficult to diagnose at an early stage. Moreover, the diagnosis depends on the pathological and immunohistochemical findings. It is also prone to distant metastasis, but is difficult to treat and shows poor prognosis. Presently, there exists no unified treatment plan, and the prognosis of this disease is also poor. We reported here an analysis and literature review of a case of endometrial LCNEC to facilitate the comprehension of this disease and provide help toward clinical diagnosis and treatment.

RESUMEN

A new phenanthroline derivative bearing imidazole group, (2-(3,5-di(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)-1-p-tolyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline) (1), has been devised. 1 can be used as a multifunctional probe exhibiting a highly sensitive colorimetric response to Fe2+ and a selectively ratiometric fluorescent response to Zn2+ in a buffer-ethanol solution. The absorption enhancement accompanied by a visual color change from colorless to red upon addition of Fe2+, makes 1 a suitable naked-eye sensor for Fe2+. Moreover, 1 displayed a Zn2+-induced red-shift of emission (44 nm) showing a color change from blue to light cyan under a 365-nm UV lamp. Its practical imaging applicability for intracellular Zn2+ was confirmed in HeLa cells using a confocal microscope. The improved emission properties and cell imaging capability would provide a new approach for fluorescence sensation for Zn2+.

The development of new electromagnetic absorbing materials is the main strategy to address electromagnetic radiation. Once traditional electromagnetic wave-absorbing materials are prepared, it is difficult to dynamically change their electromagnetic wave-absorbing performance. Facing the complexity of the information age and the rapid development of modern radar, it is significant to develop intelligent modulation of electromagnetic wave-absorbing materials. Here, CNTs/VO2/ANF composite aerogels with dynamic frequency tunability and switchable absorption on/off were synthesized. Based on the phase change behavior of VO2, the degree of polarization and interfacial effects of multiple heterogeneous interfaces between VO2 and CNTs and aramid nanofibers (ANFs) were modulated at different temperatures. With the increase in temperature (from 25 to 200 °C), the maximum absorption frequency of the frequency tunable aerogel is modulated from 12.24 to 8.56 GHz in the X-band, and the absorption intensity remains stable. The maximum effective switching bandwidth (ΔEAB) of the wave-absorbing switchable aerogel is 3.70 GHz. This study provides insights into intelligent electromagnetic wave absorption performance and paves the way for temperature-driven application of intelligent modulation of electromagnetic absorbers.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and genetic characterization of enterococcal isolates (Enterococcus faecalis, Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus hirae) isolated from clinical bovine mastitis cases in Ningxia, China. Patients and Methods: The enterococci were identified by 16S rRNA amplification and sequencing. Antimicrobial resistance was determined by disc diffusion method. Virulence and antimicrobial resistance genes were detected by PCR assays. Results: Overall, 198 enterococcal isolates were identified from 2897 mastitis samples, including 137 (4.7%) E. faecalis, 50 (1.7%) E. faecium and 11 (0.4%) E. hirae. E. faecalis, E. faecium and E. hirae isolates showed high resistance to tetracycline (92.7%, 68.0%, 90.9%), followed by erythromycin (86.9%, 76.0%, 72.7%). The multidrug-resistant strains of E. faecalis and E. faecium were 29 (21.2%) and 13 (26.0%), respectively. The resistance of E. faecalis, E. faecium and E. hirae isolates to tetracycline is mainly attributed to the presence of tetL (alone or combined with tetM and/or tetK), the erythromycin resistance to ermB (alone or combined with ermC and/or ermA). Moreover, cpd (94.2%), gelE (77.4%), efaAfs (93.4%), and esp (79.6%) were the most common virulence genes in E. faecalis. In E. faecium, except for the gene efaAfs (82.0%), other virulence genes are rarely found. Only two strains of E. hirae carrying asa1 gene were detected. Conclusion: The results of this study can provide a reference for the prevention and treatment of bovine mastitis caused by enterococci.

Using the self-developed fused indium wetting technology and planar waveguide, the uniform heat dissipation of the slab crystal and uniform pumping of the pump light were achieved, respectively. Based on the master oscillator power amplification (MOPA) scheme, the power was then amplified when the seed light source passed through the Nd:YAG slab crystal three times. Additionally, the image transfer system that we added to the amplified optical path achieved high beam quality. Finally, we obtained a rectangular pulsed laser with an output average power of 4461 W, a repetition frequency of 20 kHz, a pulse width of 62 ns, an optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of 26.8%, and a beam quality of ß x=7.0 and ß y=7.7.

Piezoceramic membranes have emerged as a prominent solution for membrane fouling control. However, the prevalent use of toxic lead and limitations of vibration-based anti-fouling mechanism impede their wider adoption in water treatment. This study introduces a Mn/BaTiO3 piezoceramic membrane, demonstrating a promising in-situ anti-fouling efficacy and mechanism insights. When applied to an Alternating Current at a resonant frequency of 20 V, 265 kHz, the membrane achieves optimal vibration, effectively mitigating various foulants such as high-concentration oil (2500 ppm, including real industrial oil wastewater), bacteria and different charged inorganic colloidal particles, showing advantages over other reported piezoceramic membranes. Importantly, our findings suggest that the built-in ultrasonic vibration of piezoceramic membranes can generate reactive oxygen species. This offers profound insights into the distinct anti-fouling processes for organic and inorganic wastewater, supplementing and unifying the traditional singular vibrational anti-fouling mechanism of piezoceramic membranes, and potentially propelling the development of piezoelectric catalytic membranes.

OBJECTIVE: We aimed to investigate the prevalence of vascular complications in acute pancreatitis (AP), to compare patient outcomes using various treatments, and to explore the related risk factors. METHODS: Consecutive AP patients admitted from January 2010 to July 2017 were retrospectively included. Demographics, vascular complications, laboratory indices, and imaging findings were collected. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to explore potential risk factors of vascular complications. RESULTS: Of 3048 AP patients, 808 (26.5%) had vascular complications, including visceral vein thrombosis, sinistral portal hypertension, and arterial complications. And 38 (4.7%) patients received anticoagulant therapy and had a higher rate of recanalization (P < 0.001). Bleeding occurred in 95 (11.8%) patients, who received further treatment. Multivariate analysis identified male gender (odds ratio [OR] 1.650, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.101-2.472), hyperlipidemia (OR 1.714, 95% CI 1.356-2.165), disease recurrence (OR 3.727, 95% CI 2.713-5.118), smoking (OR 1.519, 95% CI 1.011-2.283), hemoglobin level (OR 0.987, 95% CI 0.981-0.993), white blood cell (WBC) count (OR 1.094, 95% CI 1.068-1.122), non-vascular local complications (OR 3.018, 95% CI 1.992-4.573), computed tomography severity index (CTSI) (OR 1.425, 95% CI 1.273-1.596), and acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) II score (OR 1.057, 95% CI 1.025-1.090) were related to vascular complications. CONCLUSIONS: Vascular complications in AP is prevalent and their treatment is challenging. Further investigations are warranted to determine the optimal treatment strategy. Independent risk factors included male gender, hyperlipidemia, disease recurrence, smoking, WBC count, non-vascular local complications, CTSI, and APACHE II score.

This longitudinal cohort study examined the long-term effect of statin therapy on clinical outcomes in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). A total of 1760 patients with stable coronary artery disease (CAD) were divided by receipt of statin therapy or not after index PCI. Baseline clinical characteristics, risk factors, angiographic findings, and medications after interventional procedure were assessed to compare long-term clinical outcomes between groups. Predictors for all-cause death and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), including myocardial infarction (MI), cardiovascular death, and repeated PCI procedures, were also analyzed. The statin therapy group had higher average serum cholesterol and more elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) than the non-statin therapy group (189.0 ± 47.9 vs 169.3 ± 37.00 mg/dl, 117.2 ± 42.6 vs 98.7 ± 31.8 mg/dl, respectively, both P < 0.001). The non-statin group had higher rates of all-cause death and cardiovascular death compared to statin group (both P < 0.001). After adjustment for age, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease, Cox proportion hazard analysis revealed statin use significantly reduced all-cause death and repeated PCI procedure (hazard ratio: 0.53 and 0.69, respectively). Statin use seemed not reduce the hazard of cardiovascular death or MI in patients with stable CAD after PCI; however, statin therapy still was associated with reduced rates of all-cause death and repeat PCI procedure.

A facile method was proposed for preparing controllable multicompartment gel microcarriers using an aqueous two-phase emulsion system. By leveraging the density difference between the upper polyethylene glycol solution and the lower dextran-calcium chloride (CaCl2) solution in the collection solution and the high viscosity of the lower solution, controllable fusion of core-shell droplets made by coextrusion devices was achieved at the water/water (w/w) interface to fabricate microcarriers with separated core compartments. By adjusting the sodium alginate concentration, collected solution composition, and number of fused liquid droplets, the pore size, shape, and number of compartments could be controlled. Caco-2 and HepG2 cells were encapsulated in different compartments to establish gut-liver coculture models, exhibiting higher viability and proliferation compared to monoculture models. Notably, significant differences in cytokine expression and functional proteins were observed between the coculture and monoculture models. This method provides new possibilities for preparing complex and functional three-dimensional coculture materials.

Introduction: Osteoporosis is a prevalent challenge in clinical orthopedics, affecting a significant percentage of individuals aged 50 and above. The goal of this study was to comprehensively understand the relationships between a specialized dietary regimen and the risk of developing osteoporosis. Methods: This study employed extensive genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary statistics derived from the UK Biobank. It encompassed 8 kinds of special diets and 7 datasets pertaining to osteoporosis and associated symptoms. The principal analytical approach employed was the inverse-variance weighted method. Additionally, sensitivity analysis was employed to elucidate the diverse multiplicity patterns observed in the final model. Results: Our results showed that there is significant evidence that a gluten-free diet is associated with osteoporosis [odds ratio (OR): 1.080, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.048-1.112, p = 4.23E-07)]. Furthermore, there exists a suggestive link between the three distinct dietary approaches and osteoporosis [(OR: 0.949, 95%CI: 0.929-0.970, p = 3.00E-06) for comprehensive consumption; (OR: 1.053, 95%CI: 1.018-1.089, p = 2.23E-03) for abstaining from wheat consumption; (OR: 1.036, 95%CI: 1.005-1.068, p = 1.97E-02) for abstaining from sugar consumption]. No additional correlation between the special dietary regimens and osteoporosis has been observed. Conclusion: Our research has uncovered a notable correlation between a gluten-free diet and the occurrence of osteoporosis. Furthermore, it exerts a promoting influence on the onset of osteoporosis, which stands in direct contradiction to the therapeutic principles for Celiac Disease's complications. As such, a novel association among these three elements is postulated.

Background: The Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is strongly associated with cardiovascular disease risk factors, but the relationship with blood pressure (BP) remains unclear. Objectives: To assess the association between HCV infection status and BP in US adults. Methods: Data for the study were obtained from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) between 1999 and 2012. The association of HCV infection status (including HCV infection, current HCV infection, and past HCV infection) with hypertension, systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were explored using logistic or linear regression analyses respectively. Results: A total of 25,850 participants (age≥18 years) were enrolled in the current study, including 14,162 participants with hypertension. After adjusting for all covariates, HCV infection/current HCV infection was not associated with hypertension and SBP compared to participants with non-HCV infection (OR: 1.34,95% CI 0.96-1.87/1.31 95% CI 0.91,1.91, ß: -0.92, 95% CI -2.7-0.86/-0.35 95% CI -2.51,1.81, respectively). HCV infection/current HCV infection was only associated with elevated DBP (ß: 4.1,95% CI 2.57-5.63/4.24,95% CI 2.27-6.21). However, there was no correlation with past HCV infection in participants with hypertension, SBP, and DBP compared to those with non-HCV infection (OR: 1.23,95% CI 0.59-2.54; ß: -3.79, 95% CI -7.67-0.08 and 2.28 95% CI -0.36-4.92, respectively). Conclusion: In a representative sample of US adults, it was found that both HCV infection and current HCV infection were independently linked to higher DBP. However, there was no association between past HCV infection and DBP.

By overcoming interspecies differences and mimicking the in vivo microenvironment, three-dimensional (3D) in vitro corneal models have become a significant novel tool in contemporary ophthalmic disease research. However, existing 3D corneal models struggle to replicate the actual human corneal environment, especially the dome-shaped physiological structure with adjustable curvature. Addressing these challenges, this study introduces a straightforward method for fabricating collagen/chitosan-alginate eyeball-shaped gel microspheres with a Janus structure via a two-phase aqueous system, used subsequently to construct in vitro 3D corneal epithelial tissue models. By adjusting the diameter ratio of collagen/chitosan to alginate droplets, we can create eyeball-shaped gel microspheres with varying curvatures. Human corneal epithelial cells were seeded on the surfaces of these microspheres, leading to the formation of in vitro 3D corneal epithelial tissues characterized by dome-like multilayers and tight junctions. Additionally, the model demonstrated responsiveness to UVB exposure through the secretion of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and proinflammatory factors. Therefore, we believe that in vitro 3D corneal epithelial tissue models with dome-shaped structures hold significant potential for advancing ophthalmic research.

To investigate the mechanisms underlying the differences in the freezability of boar semen, Yorkshire boars with freezing-tolerant semen (YT, n = 3), Yorkshire boars with freezing-sensitive semen (YS, n = 3), Landrace boars with freezing-tolerant semen (LT, n = 3), and Landrace boars with freezing-sensitive semen (LS, n = 3) were selected for this study. Their sperm was subjected to protein extraction, followed by data-independent acquisition proteomics and functional bioinformatics analysis. A total of 3042 proteins were identified, of which 2810 were quantified. Some key KEGG pathways were enriched, such as starch and sucrose metabolism, carbohydrate digestion and absorption, mineral absorption, the HIF-1 signaling pathway, and the necroptosis pathways. Through PRM verification, we found that several proteins, such as α-amylase and epididymal sperm-binding protein 1, can be used as molecular markers of the freezing resistance of boar semen. Furthermore, we found that the addition of α-amylase to cryoprotective extender could significantly improve the post-thaw motility and quality of boar semen. In summary, this study revealed some molecular markers and potential molecular pathways contributing to the high or low freezability of boar sperm, identifying α-amylase as a key protein. This study is valuable for optimizing boar semen cryopreservation technology.

BACKGROUND: Sovleplenib, a novel spleen tyrosine kinase (SYK) inhibitor, showed promising safety and activity in patients with primary immune thrombocytopenia in a phase 1b/2 trial. We aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sovleplenib in patients with chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia. METHODS: This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial (ESLIM-01) was done in 34 clinical centres in China. Eligible patients, aged 18-75 years, had chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia, an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) performance status of 0-1, and received one or more previous treatments. Patients were randomly assigned (2:1) to receive oral sovleplenib or placebo, 300 mg once daily, for 24 weeks. Randomisation was stratified by baseline platelet counts, previous splenectomy, and concomitant treatment for anti-immune thrombocytopenia at baseline. The primary endpoint was durable response rate (proportion of patients with a platelet count of ≥50 × 109/L on at least four of six scheduled visits between weeks 14 and 24, not affected by rescue treatment) assessed by intention-to-treat. The trial is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT05029635, and the extension, open-label phase is ongoing. FINDINGS: Between Sept 29, 2021, and Dec 31, 2022, 188 patients were randomly assigned to receive sovleplenib (n=126) or placebo (n=62). 124 (66%) were female, 64 (34%) were male, and all were of Asian ethnicity. Median previous lines of immune thrombocytopenia therapy were 4·0, and 134 (71%) of 188 patients had received previous thrombopoietin or thrombopoietin receptor agonist. The primary endpoint was met; durable response rate was 48% (61/126) with sovleplenib compared with zero with placebo (difference 48% [95% CI 40-57]; p<0·0001). The median time to response was 8 days with sovleplenib compared with 30 days with placebo. 125 (99%) of 126 patients in the sovleplenib group and 53 (85%) of 62 in the placebo group reported treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs), and most events were mild or moderate. Frequent TEAEs of grade 3 or higher for sovleplenib versus placebo were platelet count decreased (7% [9/126] vs 10% [6/62]), neutrophil count decreased (3% [4/126] vs 0% [0/62]), and hypertension (3% [4/126] vs 0% [0/62]). Incidences of serious TEAEs were 21% (26/126) in the sovleplenib group and 18% (11/62) in the placebo group. There were no deaths in the study. INTERPRETATION: Sovleplenib showed a clinically meaningful sustained platelet response in patients with chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia, with a tolerable safety profile and improvement in quality of life. Sovleplenib could be a potential treatment option for patients with immune thrombocytopenia who received one or more previous therapy. Carboxysomes are large self-assembled microcompartments that serve as the central machinery of a CO2-concentrating mechanism (CCM). Biogenesis of carboxysome requires the fine organization of thousands of individual proteins; however, the packaging pattern of internal RuBisCOs remains largely unknown. Here we purified the intact ß-carboxysomes from Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942 and identified the protein components by mass spectrometry. Cryo-electron tomography combined with subtomogram averaging revealed the general organization pattern of internal RuBisCOs, in which the adjacent RuBisCOs are mainly arranged in three distinct manners: head-to-head, head-to-side, and side-by-side. The RuBisCOs in the outermost layer are regularly aligned along the shell, the majority of which directly interact with the shell. Moreover, statistical analysis enabled us to propose an ideal packaging model of RuBisCOs in the ß-carboxysome. These results provide new insights into the biogenesis of ß-carboxysomes and also advance our understanding of the efficient carbon fixation functionality of carboxysomes.

With the gradual expansion of the application of organic electromechanical synthesis in the field of energetic materials, it is necessary to explore deeply the mechanisms behind the organic electromechanical oxidation of energetic materials in order to develop efficient electrocatalysts. Electrochemical synthesis of 5,5'-azotetrazolate (ZT) salts is not only environmentally friendly and efficient but also can replace oxygen evolution reaction (OER) combined with hydrogen production, significantly reducing the battery voltage of overall water splitting (OWS) and achieving low energy consumption hydrogen production. Here, we prepared the Co-modified nickel-based oxide electrodes (Ni3-xCoO4/carbon cloth (CC), x = 1, 2) as a medium to reveal the oxidative coupling mechanism of 5-aminotetrazole (5-AT). Experimental and theoretical calculations verified that Ni-catalyzed oxidative coupling of 5-AT is a proton-coupled electron transfer (PCET) process, including electron transfer of electrocatalytic intermediates (Ni2+-O + OH- = Ni3+-O(OH) + e-) and spontaneous dehydrogenation process (Ni3+-O(OH) + X-H = Ni2+-O + X•). The Ni3+-O(OH) is an extremely fast nonreducing electron transfer center that serves as a chemical oxidant to directly abstract hydrogen atoms from the 5-AT. Simultaneously, the synergistic effect of Co doping on the electric cloud around Ni causes the upshift of the d-band centers, which is conducive to the easier adsorption of OH*, forming the generation of active intermediate Ni3+-O(OH). Thus, Ni2CoO4/CC has higher Faraday efficiency (FE) and yield for the oxidation reaction of 5-AT, with a yield of approximately 72.3% after electrolysis at 1.7 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE).

Vegetation restoration not only extensively reshapes spatial land use patterns but also profoundly affects the dynamics of runoff and sediment loss. However, the influence of vegetation restoration on runoff and sediment yield from a regional perspective are scarce. This study therefore focused on 85 sites within the "Grain for Green" Project (GGP) region on the Loess Plateau, to investigate the impacts of the GGP on soil erosion. The results revealed a notable reduction in sediment loss and runoff due to vegetation restoration. Since the inception of the GGP in 1999, approximately 4.1 × 106 ha of degraded lands have been converted into forestlands, shrublands, and grasslands, resulting in an average annual reduction of 1.4 × 109 m3 in runoff and a decrease of 3.6 × 108 t in annual sediment loss on the whole Loess Plateau, with the GGP contributing approximately 26.7% of the sediment reduction in the Yellow River basin. The reduced soil erosion has mainly been regulated by vegetation cover, soil properties (clay, silt, and sand), slope, and precipitation on the Loess Plateau. The insights gained offer valuable contributions to large-scale assessments of changes in soil erosion in response to vegetation reconstruction and enhance our understanding of the spatial configurations associated with soil erosion control measures.

Bioretrosynthesis problem is to predict synthetic routes using substrates for given natural products (NPs). However, the huge number of metabolic reactions leads to a combinatorial explosion of searching space, which is high time-consuming and costly. Here, we propose a framework called BioRetro to predict bioretrosynthesis pathways using a one-step bioretrosynthesis network, termed HybridMLP combined with AND-OR tree heuristic search. The HybridMLP predicts precursors that will produce the target NPs, while the AND-OR tree generates the iterative multi-step biosynthetic pathways. The one-step bioretrosynthesis prediction experiments are conducted on MetaNetX dataset by using HybridMLP, which achieves 46.5%, 74.6%, 81.6% in terms of the top-1, top-5, top-10 accuracies. The great performance demonstrates the effectiveness of HybridMLP in one-step bioretrosynthesis. Besides, the evaluation of two benchmark datasets reveals that BioRetro can significantly improve the speed and success rate in predicting biosynthesis pathways. In addition, the BioRetro is further shown to find the synthetic pathway of compounds, such as ginsenoside F1 with the same substrates as reported but different enzymes, which may be the novel potential enzyme to have better catalytic performance.

Microplastics (MPs) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) are typical co-existing emerging pollutants in wastewater treatment plants. MPs have been shown to alter the distribution pattern of ARGs in sludge, but their effects on free extracellular ARGs (feARGs) in wastewater remain unclear. In this study, we used fluorescence quantitative PCR to investigate the dynamics of feARGs (including tetC, tetO, sul1, and sul2) in wastewater and their transition mechanisms after 60 d of exposure to typical MPs (polystyrene, PS). The results showed that the absolute abundance of tetracycline feARGs decreased by 28.4 %-76.0 % and 35.2 %-96.2 %, respectively, under nm-level and mm-level PS exposure and changed by -55.4 %-122.4 % under µm-level PS exposure. The abundance of sul1 showed a trend of nm-level > µm-level > mm-level upon PS exposure, and the changes in sul1 abundance was greater with ρ(PS)=50 mg·L-1 exposure. The relative abundance of sul2 was reduced by 25.4 %-42.6 % and 46.1 %-90.3 % after µm-level and mm-level PS exposure, respectively, and increased by 1.9-3.9 times after nm-level PS exposure, and the sul2 showed a higher reduction at ρ (PS)=50 mg·L-1 exposure than that at ρ (PS)=0.5 mg·L-1. The Pearson correlation analysis showed that the relative abundance of feARGs during PS exposure was positively correlated with cell membrane permeability and typical mobile genetic elements (intI1) abundance and negatively correlated with reactive oxygen species level. Our findings elucidated the effects and corresponding mechanisms of PS on the growth and mobility of feARGs in wastewater, providing a scientific basis for the control of the combined MPs and ARGs pollution in wastewater.

A convenient self-assembly method is proposed for synthesis of 3D Au/MOF-808 (Zr) composite nanostructures with a cerium metal-organic framework loaded with gold nanoparticles. We combine adsorption properties of MOF materials with surface plasmon resonance of noble metals to construct hotspot-dense 3D Au/MOF-808 (Zr) SERS substrates, by using a two-step method of solvothermal and reduction reactions. The results show that optimal SERS substrates are obtained from a volume ratio of gold nanoparticles to MOF-808 (Zr) solution of 4:1 and a self-assembly time of 2 h. Rhodamine 6G (R6G) is used as a molecular probe to characterize and analyze SERS properties of substrates of 3D Au/MOF-808 (Zr) prepared under the optimal process conditions, where the substrates are capable to detect R6G concentrations down to 10-10 M with a relative standard deviation of 8.81%. Finally, we applied the SERS substrates of 3D Au/MOF-808 (Zr) to the detection of pesticide thiram, and establish a quantitative determination method. 3D Au/MOF-808 (Zr) provides a sensitive detection of thiram in lake water by SERS with a detection limit of 1.49 × 10-9 M. Application tests show that a SERS enhancement factor of the MOF-based SERS substrates for the detection of thiram can be significantly increased to 5.91 × 105. Thus, the above results indicate that such substrate has high sensitivity, good adsorption, homogeneity, and reproducibility, which can be extended for sensitive detection of pesticide residues in food and environment.
