RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of the course-based comprehensive rehabilitation using the therapeutic physical factors of the Belokurikha resort, including hydrokinesiotherapy in a pool with mineral water on the circadian rhythms of arterial pressure and its autonomous regulation in patients with arterial hypertension (AH) associated with chronic psychoemotional stress (CPES). MATERIAL AND METHODS: The study involved 83 patients with stage I-II grade 1-2 of AH, whose professional activities were associated with CPES. Each participant had 24-hours Holter blood pressure monitored, and cardiointervalography (CIG) was performed before and after the medical rehabilitation course. The rehabilitation complex of the main group (II) included medication therapy for AH, diet, morning hygienic gymnastics, manual massage, total magnet therapy, and hydrokinesiotherapy in a pool with mineral water. Patients in the comparison group (I) were exposed to similar therapeutic physical factors with identical parameters of the procedures, except hydrokinesiotherapy, which was replaced by full baths with mineral water. RESULTS: Medical rehabilitation using the therapeutic physical factors of the Belokurikha resort with hydrokinesiotherapy in a pool promotes a decrease in the activity of a sympathetic nervous system and increase of vagal effects contribute to the regulation of vital functions of the AH patients, associated with CPES, thus minimizing the frequency of abnormal daily profiles night-peaker and over-dipper to 12.5% and 1.78% of cases, respectively, and increasing the percentage of subjects with its normal type (dipper) to 57.1% (p=0.039). CONCLUSION: The study results show the benefits of hydrokinesiotherapy in a pool with mineral water as a part of the course-based comprehensive rehabilitation in patients with hypertension and chronic psychoemotional stress in terms of normalizing circadian rhythms of arterial pressure and optimizing the activity of higher autonomous centers, which largely determine the cardiovascular system performance in this setting.

RESUMO

The study substantiated the possibility of using peat humic acids for improving endurance during extreme physical exertion. The mature outbred Wistar rats weighing 200-250 g (n=40) were subjected to forced swim test until complete exhaustion. The humic acids (1%) were administered intragastrically (0.5 ml/100 g body weight) 30 min prior to the test. Chronic administration of peat humic acids for 5 days increased physical capacity and endurance of rats in exhaustive forced swim test without the changes in serum lactate and corticosterone.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Notwithstanding the current abundance of the methodological approaches to the evaluation of the outcomes of medical rehabilitation, the criteria for the effectiveness of the combined influence of the curative physical factors are still inadequate and remain at variance with the principles of evidence-based medicine. AIM: The objective of the present study was to develop a method for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the rehabilitation activities in the patients presenting with the acute coronary syndrome following endovascular cardiac interventions. MATERIAL AND METHODS: This work is based on the results of a prospective single-center cohort-based clinical study involving the subjects who had undergone myocardial infarction following endovascular cardiac surgical interventions. The duration of the patient's participation in the study was 21 days. RESULTS: We have developed the integrative approach to the creation of the unified multi-criteria system for the evaluation of the effectiveness of the treatment of the patients presenting with cardiovascular diseases after percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). In addition, the step-by-step description of this technology is presented. The algorithm for the calculation of the integrated health index and the evaluation of the overall effect of the rehabilitation activities was proposed based on the assessment of the clinical, laboratory, and functional indicators of the health status together with the psychological characteristics of individual patients. It is proposed to consider an integrated health index as a parameter for estimating the rehabilitation potential of the patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases after percutaneous surgical interventions. CONCLUSION: The proposed system for the evaluating of the effectiveness of comprehensive medical rehabilitation differs from analogous intellectual products in that it excludes the subjective interpretation of the severity of clinical symptoms associated with the concrete pathological process and makes impossible the arbitrary determination of the weight of the peculiar features of the patient's condition. Moreover, it allows to reduce the parameters of different types chosen as the criteria for the evaluation of the effectiveness of rehabilitation to the standardized values, to obtain an unambiguous numerical expression of the results of the rehabilitative treatment, and to compare the outcomes of the rehabilitation activities based at different treatment and prevention settings.

RESUMO

The content of serotonin in the blood serum of rats with light desynchronizes and physical fatigue in different seasons was investigated ву enzyme immunoassay. It was found that long-term light deprivation and exercise to complete depletion lowered levels of serotonin in the blood serum of rats in the winter and increased that of the spring season. At the same time, a dark deprivation and physical activity had no effect on this indicator.

RESUMO

The morphology and immunophenotype of female colostrum adherent cells with the help of CD3, CD31, CD34, CD45, CD68, vimentin, and osteocalcin antibodies panel was studied in short-term (67 days) culture in vitro. Approximately equal (1 : 1) ratio of fibroblast-like and rounded cells was observed in 20 % of cultural flasks. The cells with regular shape mixed with single fibroblasts were noted in 80 % of cultural flasks. The diameter of spreaded cells varied within 10100 mm. All cells adhered to plastics did not express CD3 and interacted slightly (sl) with antibodies to CD31, CD34, and CD45. At the same time, adherent cells with intensive CD68, vimentin and osteocalcin staining have been revealed. Literature data allows to interpret CD68+CD3CD31slCD34slCD45sl immunophenotype of significant part of mother colostrum adherent cells as belonging to monocyte-macrophage lineage. Marked expression of stromal antigens (vimentin, osteocalcin) in 4045 % adherent cells in cultural medium without osteogenic supplements (beta-glycerophosphate, ascorbic acid, dexamethasone) proposes an existence of osteoblasts fraction differentiated in colostrum from mesenchymal stem cells under an action of breast milk humoral factors.

RESUMO

73 patients with compression-ischemic myeloradiculopathy received treatment including infrared laser radiation on the paravertebral fields, motor points of the affected nerves and biologically active points Y63, Y67, YB34, YB42, YB43, E34, E42 (1.0-5.0 mW/cm2; 5 and 5000 Hz), electrostimulation of motor nerve points and innervated by them muscles by double square impulses with a fixed gap 5 ms. Impulse infrared laser therapy relieves pain syndrome, stimulates repair processes in the affected nerve structures. Further modified electric stimulation activates a regenerative growth of the nerve fibers, reinnervation of the limb muscles.

RESUMO

Low-frequency vibration effectively stimulates in a direct way or via reflexes neuromuscular apparatus in patients with muscular-tonic manifestations of spinal osteochondrosis. Long-term myofixation forms foci of denervation disorders as painful muscular consolidations with active center the irritation of which gives rise to phenomenon of reflected pain. In this case it is better to begin treatment with optic red and infrared radiation on the reflexogenic zones and muscular consolidations for reduction of trophic abnormalities. This creates favourable conditions for subsequent vibrostimulation of affected nerves and muscles.

RESUMO

Application of low-intensity radiations of optic range early after diskectomy helps to relieve pain more quickly, eliminate morpho-functional disturbances of the tissues in the operated segment, affected roots and relevant nerves. Combined, pathogenetically sound, staged rehabilitation stabilizes the course of the postoperative period, accelerates regression of motor defects, lowers risk of forming postoperative complications.

RESUMO

It is shown that physical puncture effects arouse favourable reactions of human organism both in monotherapy and in combined therapy with peloids. This suggests a conclusion that indications to physiotherapy of spinal osteochondrosis can be extended and cover also acute osteochondrosis, that new complexes of physiopeloid therapy may be designed with minimal risk of balneoreactions.

RESUMO

Short-term mud therapy (10 daily peat [correction of moor] applications) has been performed in patients with neurological symptoms of spinal osteochondrosis. Such short-term courses are indicated in the absence of exacerbation of the basic and associated diseases under domination of the radicular and reflex syndromes. High efficacy and good tolerance of the treatment are confirmed by vertebroneurological investigations and functional diagnostic tests.
