RESUMO

The sampling of newborns (n=28) was examined. Out of them, 18 premature children formed main group (gestation age from 28 to35 weeks, body mass 2067,3±76,7g) and 10 mature children formed comparison group (gestation age from 38 to 41 weeks, body mass 3380,2±57,2g) born from mothers with physiologically occurring pregnancy without extra-genital pathology. In all children, the detection of endothelial cells isolated from umbilical cord vein in mixed umbilical blood and lysate was applied and indices of free radical oxidation of lipids, characterizing oxidizing stress as well and anti-oxidation activity using chemiluminescence technique. The study results demonstrated in premature newborns increasing in umbilical blood of indices of fast flash chemiluminescence (Imax), light sun value (S) and tangent of kinetic curve slope (tga) and also increasing of parameters Imax and tga in lysate of endothelial cells of umbilical cord. Al these occurrences testify in these children development oxidation stress being accompanied by compensation increasing of antioxidant activity.

RESUMO

The paper substantiated the clinical diagnostic significance of lactate tests in various abnormalities. It presents the results of the past 25 years' research and practical studies of blood lactic acid in pregnant women and neonatal infants. More than 1000 pregnant women and 200 neonates were examined. The established peripheral blood lactate standards for pregnant women and the newborn and the values of lactic acid in varying hypoxia are given. It is concluded that lactate tests are of diagnostic value in perinatology.

RESUMO

Eighty-one patients were studied. In the attack-form of schizophrenia affective disorders could reflect the on-going slow or latent progression of the ailment during remissions. Otherwise it could represent the steady postprocessual shifts devoid of any signs of progressive course, or be a manifestation of either the protracted initial stage of a future attack or slow development of remission. Related to this, the clinical features of the affective disorders are variable and primarily dependent on the regularities of the underlying schizophrenic process. As the affective phases alternated and negative changes varied in strength, patients having different affective disorders attained different levels of social and labor adaptation.

RESUMO

On the basis of clinico-psychopathological examination of 34 patients with paroxysmal forms of schizophrenia and affective pathology prior to acute psychosis the authors have identified major clinical types of affective disorders during remissions. Correlation was ascertained between the rate of progression of the endogenic process in the premanifest period, the degree of its activity in remissions and clinico-dynamic characteristics of affective disorders.
