[The structure of an aerogenic load and risk to human health in an industrial town's residential area].

Chemical air pollution of the residential and industrial areas of a town was evaluated. There was a significant relationship of the average daily actuating concentrations of priority substances to the air pollution of the study areas, the average annual concentrations of ambient air pollutants to their seasonal values. The structure of the risk to community health and the contribution of the industrial environment to the formation of a health risk were ascertained.

The levels of lead were determined in snow water, soil, and sludge. Its highest concentration was found in the deposits of the eastern and central areas of the region. There was a correlation between some diseases and chemicals; some pollutants exert unidirectional adverse effects on human health. As a way of influencing the man-made load, the authors suggest that an increasing coefficient to the allocations to the health insurance fund should be introduced for the enterprises that cause the proven hazard to human health. The addressing approach to analyzing morbidity rates increases the validity of studies establishing the relationship of environmental factors to health indices.

The hygienic assessment of the environment of development lands of an industrial town was made by the most priority factors. The working conditions at the enterprise that was one of the main sources of air pollution of the town were also examined. A significant relationship was found between the level of anthropogenic load in different districts and the mortality rates of benign uterine tumors. This relationship was confirmed by the establishment of that between the air concentrations of a number of metals and the female body's biosubstrates.
