RESUMO
The authors proposed a new analytical approach to a search for the RD parameter in euglycemic insulinemic clamp which imparts a rate to glucose infusion. Two diabetic patients were investigated (RD parameter in the first case was determined by intuition, and in the second case--on the basis of mathematical iterative formulas). The analytical approach permitted a two-fold reduction of the time of clamp investigation improving its quality.

It has been established that ratibol, retabolil and solasodin in doses 5 and 10 mg/kg proved to have a slight anticoagulative effect. The same effect has been observed during 20 days of oral retabolil and solasodin intake. Ratibol was characterized by a two-step action. All three steroids activated factors II, VII, XIII and diminished factor I concentration. These changes were accomplished with the fall of antithrombin activity and decrease in resistance to streptokinase. The fibrinolysis level has been raised under the effect of the steroids studied.

The influence of d-ketoglutarate and succinate in acute experiments on dogs was studied by the following parameters: collateral coronary circulation (CCC) of the ischemic myocardium, systemic arterial pressure, and the content of lactic, pyruvic acids, and glucose in the blood flowing from the ischemic zone. alpha-ketoglutarate (6 mg/kg intracoronary and 60 mg/kg intravenously) proved to produce a positive effect on CCC and the contractile activity of the myocardium. Intravenous injection of alpha-ketoglutarate (12 mg/kg) and succinate (100 mg/kg) decreased significantly the consumption of glucose by the ischemic myocardium which rose after the ligation. In comparison with alpha-ketoglutarate, all doses of succinate were more effective as a factor of preventing the increase of lactic acid in the blood flowing from the ischemic zone. Thus, definite doses of alpha-ketoglutarate and succinate could be used for pharmacological correction of CCC and energy supply of the ischemic myocardium.

The influence of sodium succinate on the content of lactic, pyruvic acids and glucose in the venous blood flowing from the ischemic zone of the myocardium was studied in dogs with ligated coronary artery. The intracoronary injection of the preparation in doses of 2 and 10 mg/kg diminished the content of blood lactic acid flowing from the ischemic zone; a dose of 10 mg/kg decreased the consumption of glucose by the ischemic myocardium. Sodium succinate (100 mg/kg) intravenously reduced the content of the lactic acid significantly and inhibited the glucose consumption by the ischemic myocardium, with its increase in the arterial blood. A fall of lactacidemia can be connected with the activation of Krebs cycle and an increase of oxygen utilization by the ischemic myocardium.
