[The comparison of tests for qualitative evaluation of Ureaplasma parvum, Mycoplasma hominis: "Mycoplasma duo", "Ureaplasma microtest", "Mycoplasma microtest" and "AmpliSens-Florocenosis-mycoplasma-FL"].

The genital mycoplasma is an opportunistic bacteria and its detection is to be implemented in qualitative format. The study was organized to compare reagents kits "Mycoplasma Duo", "Ureaplasma Microtest", "Mycoplasma microtest" and "AmpliSens-Florocenosis-Mycoplasma-FL". The study resulted in high indicators of diagnostic sensitivity and diagnostic specificity for all kits. At that, the lowest indicators were registered under application of "Mycoplasma Duo" kit. The study reveled correlation of qualitative values detected by using cultural analysis and polymerase chain reaction. The reproducibility of qualitative values of cultural method occurred significantly lower in comparison with "AmpliSens-Florocenosis-Mycoplasma-FL " kit.

[The evaluation of the diagnostic value of PCR test systems according to the results of state trials].

The method for the diagnostic value evaluation of preparations, based on the calculation of the accuracy of test results and taking into account the spread of the diagnosed disease (the comparison of the PCR test systems for the diagnostics of hepatitis B and ureaplasmosis) is proposed. As shown in this work, evaluations obtained with the use of this method coincide with those obtained on the basis of prognostic value, but are more convenient in use and provide additional information.

[Effects of blood substitutes of different pharmacological groups and the mode of their injection on the bloodflow of rats]. / Vliianie krovezamenitelei razlichnykh farmakologicheskikh grupp na sostoianie sistemnogo krovotoka u krys pri razlichnykh sposobakh vvedeniia.

Central and peripheral bloodflow before and after intramuscular and intravenous injections of 0.9% NaCl (control groups, n=20) and perfluothane (n=20) in a dose of 5 ml/kg was studied in 40 Wistar rats. Dopplerographic study of the bloodflow was carried out on a diagnostic device Biomedical AU-5 (Italy). The study showed that intramuscular injections of both 0.9% NaCl and perfluothane did not lead to a significant increase of the bloodflow, but perfluothane caused a significantly greater increase of both arterial and venous bloodflow in the injection zone in comparison with the control. Intravenous injection of perfluothane increased significantly the systemic and local bloodflow in comparison with the baseline level and control, while total peripheral resistance was decreased.

[Comparative evaluation of diagnostic preparations]. / Sravnitel'naia otsenka diagnosticheskikh preparatov.

The diagnostic value of preparations is commonly characterized by sensitivity and specificity. But not all these characteristics make it possible to decide unequivocally which of the preparations to be compared is superior to the other one with respect to its diagnostic value. It is proposed that in the choice of a diagnostic preparation its capacity to provide data for exact diagnosis should be considered, i.e. the additional characteristic indicating the spread of the disease under study. As an example, the comparison of the diagnostic value of conventional methods and the polymerase chain reaction in the diagnostics of helicobacteriosis is presented. The described method for the evaluation of the diagnostic value of the preparation is well-grounded, simple and obvious.

[Gun-shot wounds of the face under conditions of local and boundary conflicts]. / Ognestrel'nye raneniia litsa v usloviiakh lokal'nykh i prigranichnykh konfliktov.

Analysis of the incidence, types, and severity of maxillofacial wounds inflicted during local and boundary conflicts showed increased incidence of the most severe wounds with injuries to both jaws. The efficiency of medical care rendered to victims with facial wounds is determined by the level of specialized training of nurses and physician's assistants.

The results of this study indicate that subperiosteal implants extend the potentialities of treatment for patients with significant maxillary bone atrophy fitted with permanent dentures.

Reconstructive operations on the facial skeleton and on the skull have been widely introduced in surgery. Increment of indications and augmentation of traumaticity from surgical interventions pose to anesthesiologist a set of such problems, as tracheal intubation, antinociceptive protection, prevention of hepatocerebral encephalopathy. The peculiarities of cerebral and hepatic circulation and metabolism as well as approaches in anesthesia and craniofacial surgery are discussed.

The basic trends of scientific research carried out at the implantation department of CRID (Central Research Institute of Dentistry), referred to the fundamental problems in medicine and biology including a variety of not only experiments and clinical study but also a complex of technical aspects. Our long-term research and valuable clinical material collected resulted in confirming the necessity and importance of complex approaches developed by the Institute in dental implantation.

[Stress on development of glossalgia and validation of treatment]. / Rol' stressa v vozniknovenii glossalgii i obosnovanie lecheniia.

Study of psychoemotional and neurological status of 58 patients with glossalgia showed that stress plays the leading role in development of this abnormality. Neurophysiological analysis of electroencephalograms of patients with glossalgia revealed pronounced generalized restructuring of rhythmic activity of the brain. Ultrasonic dopplerography of the tongue vessels and laser Doppler flowmetry of capillary bloodflow in the tongue confirmed the presence of short-term ischemia in the tongue at the moment of painful attack. Use of modern anxiolytics and antidepressants in combination with ozone therapy in combined therapy of patients with glossalgia is validated.

The communication outlines the present-day potentialities of X-ray diagnosis and maxillofacial surgery in recognizing and treating congenital and acquired deformities of the visceral cranium.

[Systemic inflammatory response syndrome and sepsis in maxillofacial surgery clinic]. / Sindrom sistemnogo vospalitel'nogo otveta i sepsis v klinike cheliustno-litsevoi khirurgii.

A total of 106 patients with surgical infection in maxillofacial region were studied. Clinical and laboratory diagnostic data on surgical infection and sepsis in maxillofacial surgery are presented. Integral indices of blood circulation, respiration, brain and liver metabolism, regarding severity of surgical infection were determined. Pathogenetically substantiated therapy of sepsis is proposed.

[The surgical treatment of jaw cysts using hydroxyapatite with an ultrahigh degree of dispersity]. / Operativnoe lechenie kist cheliustei s ispol'zovaniem gidroksiapatita ul'travysokoi dispernosti.

Ultrahighly dispersed hydroxyapatite, a biochemically active form of hydroxyapatite, stimulates the repair osteogenesis at the early stages. Drugs with ultrahighly dispersed hydroxyapatite: 33% OSTIM-100 paste and its composition with lincomycin Lincogap, which ensures a prolonged release of the antibiotic at the site of implantation, were used for filling the bone cavity formed after cystectomy in 49 patients. In controls (n = 43) the postoperative cavity was filled with blood clot. The results of clinical, x-ray, and radiovisiographic studies indicate that use of the above preparations decreased the incidence of postoperative complications and created the optimal conditions for bone repair at the site of defects of different size. The therapeutic efficacy was the highest when the intervention was preceded by inflammatory symptoms at the site of the cyst.
