RESUMO

The purpose of the given research is to study the efficiency of different inhibitors of NO-synthase in conditions of experimental cerebral ischemia by their capability to limit reactions of oxidative and nitrosative stress. In the given study a non-selective NOS inhibitor - N-nitro-L-arginine; a highly selective inhibitor of neuronal NOS - N-propyl-L-arginine and a highly selective competitive inhibitor of inducible NOS - (S)-methylurea were used. Cerebral circulation impairment was simulated by means of double-sided occlusion of common carotid arteries. It has been established that neurotoxic NO effect depends on definite enzyme of NO-synthase. Analysis of the obtained data shows a limited role of neuronal isoform in conditions of experimental impairment of blood circulation. The most relevant target for pharmacological regulation of NO-dependent mechanisms of neurodestruction is iNOS because of the fact that its activity begins to increase 12 hours after ischemia development and its action is implemented during several following days.

RESUMO

The impact of hernioplasty on postoperative morphometric and histological changes in tissues of patients, suffering postoperative abdominal hernias (POAH), was studied. For POAH 135 patients were operated, in 85 of them (the main group)--combined methods of hernial gate plasty in accordance to procedures proposed, and in 50 (control group)--classical methods of hernial gate were applied. The most favorable course of the wound process of the inflammatory, changes reduction and stabilization of the tissues reaction on implant already on the 7th postoperative day was noted after application of a sub lay method in original modification.

RESUMO

The article deals with the results of study of the effect of the degree of inhibited gastric acid-producing activity on the frequency of the development of postvagotomy disorders (PVD) in 158 patients with duodenal ulcer after treatment by various methods of proximal gastric vagotomy (PGV) and PGV with a stomach-draining operation. The frequency and severity of PVD were found to correlate intimately with the degree of inhibition of the gastric acid-producing activity by the PGV and the character of the draining operation. PVD were more severe and encountered more frequently in patients in whom HCl secretion was inhibited by 80% and 100% as compared to the initial value, especially in patients who underwent a stomach-draining operation. Organic PVD (stenosis, an indolent or a recurrent ulcer adhesions) are mostly encountered in the late-term postoperative period.
