[Removal of Cr(â ¥) via a Nickel Ferrite@Activated Carbon Composite Under Batch Experiments: Study of Characterization, Performance, and Mechanism].

A magnetic activated carbon adsorbent named NiFe2O4@AC was synthesized by modifying activated carbon with NiFe2O4 and used for the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) ions from waste water. The influencing factors, adsorption kinetics, and adsorption isotherms of Cr(Ⅵ) adsorption by the adsorbent were investigated. The results showed that the removal rate of Cr(Ⅵ) adsorption by NiFe2O4@AC reached 96.92%, and the adsorption amount reached 72.62 mg·g-1 at the adsorption conditions of temperature (298 K), pH 2, Cr(Ⅵ) initial concentration (150 mg·L-1), adsorbent dosage (0.1 g), and contact time (720 min). The experimental data were best described by the proposed secondary kinetics and Langmuir model, indicating that the adsorption process was a monolayer chemisorption process. The increase in temperature favored the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) on NiFe2O4@AC because the adsorption process was a spontaneous, heat-absorbing reaction. The adsorption mechanism of NiFe2O4@AC was mainly through complexation and electrostatic attraction to adsorb Cr(Ⅵ); meanwhile, the applied magnetic field could be separated from the solution, which has good application prospects.

[Clinical observation on treatment of functional dyspepsia by injection of vitamin B1 into Zusanli (ST36) and Hegu (LI4)].

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect and safety of injection of vitamin B1 into Zusanli (ST36) and Hegu (LI4) in the treatment of functional dyspepsia (FD). METHODS: A total of 100 FD patients were equally divided into medication group and acupoint injection group (n=50/group) according to a random number table. Patients in the medication group were ordered to take mosapride citrate tablets (5 mg) orally 30 min before each of the three meals, while those in the acupoint injection group received injection of vitamin B1 into ST36 and LI4, once every other day, three times a week. One week later, the clinical symptom scores, total effective rates, serum gastrin (GAS) and plasma motilin (MTL) contents, and gastric emptying rates between the two groups were compared, followed by the observation of adverse reactions. Two weeks' follow-up survey was conducted after the end of treatment, and the clinical symptom scores and total effective rates of the two groups were further compared. RESULTS: Compared with the data before treatment in the same one group, the clinical symptom scores and serum GAS contents of post-treatment as well as the follow-up symptom scores were all significantly decreased (P<0.05，P<0.01), while the plasma MTL levels and gastric emptying rates were obviously increased in both groups (P<0.01). Comparison between the two groups showed that the clinical symptom score, serum GAS content after the treatment and follow-up symptom score were considerably lower (P<0.01), but the total effective rate, plasma MTL, gastric emptying rate after the treatment and total effective rate of follow-up notably higher in the acupoint injection group than those in the medication group (P<0.01,P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Injection of vitamin B1 into ST36 and LI4 is effective in improving symptoms of PD patients, which may be related to its functions in regulating the levels of GAS and MTL in blood, and facilitating gastrointestinal motility.

Identification and antifeedant activities of limonoids from Azadirachta indica.

Four new limonoids, azadiraindins A-D (1-4, resp.), together with seven known analogs, were isolated from the MeOH extract of Azadirachta indica. The structures of 1-4 were elucidated by NMR and MS spectroscopic analyses, and the relative configuration of 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The compounds isolated in comparatively large amount were evaluated for their antifeedant activities against Plutella xylostella; the antifeedant rate of 10 was 90.6% and the corrected mortality of 8 was 79.2%.

Three new limonoids from Azadirachta indica.

Three new limonoids, azadiraindins E-G (1-3, respectively), together with six known analogs, were isolated from the fresh fruit coats of Azadirachta indica. The structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods (IR, MS, HR-ESI-MS, 1D NMR, and 2D NMR).

[A hospital information system integration solution based on an integration platform].

In view of the limitation of the traditional integration solutions in the hospital information construction, this paper proposes an integration solution based on a uniform application integration platform, and analyzes the system integration architecture and the integration frame. Using this frame, we can realize the integration of the hetero structural sub-systems within the hospital.

[Construction of a regional information system based on standardization and middleware platform].

In this article, based on the analysis on the regional information system's development background and its applications, the construction of the regional medical information system through creating the electronic medical record and the medicine image data centers is proposed, for information resource sharing. And then, the system's software construction and various subsystems functions are mainly introduced. Standardization and the middleware platform are suggested as the effective way of constructing these two data centers in the present situation in our country.

[An introduction of the principle for the middleware based on HL7].

This article introduces the development of a middleware based on HL7, which solves the problem of data integration and sharing effectively and successfully, among the hospital internal subsystems and different hospitals' information systems.

[Study on network architecture of a tele-medical information sharing platform].

In the article,a plan of network construction which satisfies the demand of applications for a telemedical information sharing platform is proposed. We choice network access plans in view of user actual situation, through the analysis of the service demand and many kinds of network access technologies. Hospital servers that locate in LAN link sharing platform with node servers, should separate from the broadband network of sharing platform in order to ensure the security of the internal hospital network and the administration management. We use the VPN technology to realize the safe transmission of information in the platform network. Preliminary experiments have proved the plan is practicable.
