RESUMO

Perovskite quantum dots (QDs) have showed excellent optoelectronic properties to extend the application range of novel solid-state lighting, such as perovskite QD based LEDs (QD-LEDs). However, the traditional device structure of perovskite QD-LEDs employed PEDOT:PSS as a hole inject layer (HIL), which impairs stability due to acidic surface characteristics. This study proposes the sputtered NiO films as an HIL to replace acidic PEDOT:PSS. The NiO films with significantly different characteristics were prepared by controlling the sputtering parameters to investigate the devices' performance of NiO-based CsPbBr3 QD-LEDs. The optimized device showed an excellent performance with maxima luminescence of 20,118 cd/m2 and an external quantum efficiency (EQE) up to 3.63%.

RESUMO

The new necklace-type molecules were formed by [8-13]CPP and carborane, which further manipulated the size of the macroring, revealing the effect of size on its luminescence behavior. In this work, the effects of ring size on the absorption spectrum, electron excitation and nonlinear optical properties of the compounds were investigated in detail, aiming to reveal an effective way to improve the optical properties of these necklace-type compounds. The absorption spectra of the compounds showed that the size of the CPP ring had little effect on the spectral shape and position, but the electron transition information showed that there were the significant charge transfer within the CPP ring and a gradual enhancement of interfragment charge transfer from the CPP ring to carborane. The increasing order of polarizability, first and second hyperpolarizability values of these compounds with the increase of CPP size indicated that increasing the size of the CPP ring was an effective way to increase the nonlinear optical properties of necklace-type molecules. Among the frequency dependent hyperpolarizability values, the γ(-ω;ω,0,0) value increased by a factor of 4 from complex 1 to 6 with the increase of CPP ring size, which indicated that increasing the size of the CPP ring was an effective way to increase the optical Kerr effect of necklace-type molecules. Therefore, these the new necklace-type nolecules formed by carborane and [n]Cycloparaphenylenes would be excellent nonlinear optical materials in the field of the all-optical switch.

RESUMO

To enhance understanding of the correlation between the intermolecular interaction and second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties, we studied a "molecular tweezer" with two corannulene substituents linked by a tetrahydro[5]helicene imide, which enabled highly sensitive and selective complexation of C60/C70 through convex-concave π-π interactions. The geometric structure, molecular orbitals, intermolecular interactions, electron absorption spectra and second-order NLO properties of the charge-transfer (CT) complexes formed by molecular tweezers and C60/C70 were studied by density functional theory. Larger fullerenes helped to increase the intermolecular interaction and CT, thereby increasing the first hyperpolarizabilities of CT complexes. Embedding of lithium ions helped to enhance the electron-absorption ability of fullerenes, thereby increasing the intermolecular interaction and intermolecular CT and, thus, enhancing their first hyperpolarizability significantly. Our data indicated that, through structure adjustment (including increasing the volume of fullerene and embedding alkali metal ions), we could enhance intermolecular interactions and improve intermolecular CT significantly. These actions could improve the second-order NLO properties of CT complexes.

RESUMO

π-conjugated aromatic diimides with chemical stability, heat resistance, and redox activity have attracted more attention due to their excellent fluorescence quantum yield in solution. The planar perylene diimide (PDI) derivatives generally have aggregation-induced emission quenching in the solid state, while the cyclic trimers based on pyromellitic diimides (PMDIs), naphthalene diimides (NDIs), and PDIs can increase the fluorescence quantum yield in the solid state and have large two-photon absorption cross section, which can be used as excellent nonlinear optical (NLO) materials. Therefore, this paper will study the effects of multiple assembly modes of the three monomers on the NLO responses of materials. It was found that the assembly modes of 2PMDI-1NDI and 2NDI-1PDI exhibit larger third-order NLO response (γ) values, which was due to the larger conjugate surface of PDI effectively reducing the energy gap between the HOMO and LUMO. Compared with other assembly methods, 2PMDI-1NDI and 2NDI-1PDI were conducive to causing redshifts (150 nm) in the absorption spectrum. Therefore, the larger conjugate surface of PDI and the assembly mode of the isosceles triangle were more favorable for intramolecular charge transfer, thus improving its NLO properties.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the mechanism of Xianfang Huoming Decoction (XHD) improving sperm motility in mice with asthenospermia (AS). METHODS: Thirty normal BALB/c mice were randomly divided into six groups, blank control, AS model control, low-dose XHD, medium-dose XHD, high-dose XHD and levocarnitine + vitamin E (LC+VE). The AS model was established in the latter five groups by injection of methotrexate at 0.5 mg/kg once a week, and the mice in the blank control group were injected with the same volume of normal saline, all for 8 weeks. From the ninth week, the animals in the blank control and AS model control groups were treated with PBS at 0.1 ml/d, those in the low-, medium- and high-dose XHD groups with XHD at 7.13, 14,2 and 28.52 g/kg/ d respectively, and those in the LC+VE group with LC+VE (30:1) at 0.55 g/kg/d, all for 4 weeks. Then, the bilateral epididymides were harvested from all the mice for preparation of a sperm suspension and observation of the total numbers of sperm and motile sperm. The testis tissues were obtained for to determination of the expressions of Nrf-2- and HO-1-related mRNA and proteins by fluorescence staining, RT-PCR and Western blot. RESULTS: Compared with the AS model controls, the mice treated with low-, medium- and high-dose XHD showed dramatically increased sperm concentration (ï¼»22.36 ± 16.02ï¼½ vs ï¼»39.04 ± 4.50ï¼½, ï¼»40.76 ± 6.57ï¼½ and ï¼»41.04 ± 8.39ï¼½ ×106/ml, P < 0.01) and motility (ï¼»22.89 ± 14.96ï¼½% vs ï¼»47.98 ± 4.74ï¼½%, ï¼»48.53 ± 6.03ï¼½% and ï¼»49.31 ± 6.24ï¼½%, P< 0.01), decreased level of reactive oxygen species (ROS) (ï¼»16.82 ± 14.96ï¼½% vs ï¼»12.08 ± 3.26ï¼½%, ï¼»10.77 ± 2.21ï¼½% and ï¼»9.56 ± 2.08ï¼½%, P< 0.01), and up-regulated expressions of Nrf-2- and HO-1-related mRNA and proteins in the testis tissue (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Xianfang Huoming Decoction inhibits the development of oxidative stress by up-regulating the expressions of Nrf-2- and HO-1-related mRNA and proteins in the testis tissue, which has provided theoretical evidence for its clinical application in the treatment of asthenospermia.

RESUMO

Atomic-force microscopic images, x-ray diffraction patterns, Urbach energies and photoluminescence quenching experiments show that the interfacial contact quality between the hydrophobic [6,6]-phenyl-C61-buttric acid methyl ester (PCBM) thin film and hydrophilic CH3NH3PbI3(MAPbI3) thin film can be effectively improved by using a binary antisolvent mixture (toluene:dichloromethane or chlorobenzene:dichloromethane) in the anti-solvent mixture-mediated nucleation process, which increases the averaged power conversion efficiency of the resultant PEDOT:PSS (P3CT-Na) thin film based MAPbI3solar cells from 13.18% (18.52%) to 13.80% (19.55%). Beside, the use of 10% dichloromethane (DCM) in the binary antisolvent mixture results in a nano-textured MAPbI3thin film with multicrystalline micrometer-sized grains and thereby increasing the short-circuit current density and fill factor (FF) of the resultant solar cells. It is noted that a remarkable FF of 80.33% is achieved, which can be used to explain the stable photovoltaic performance without additional encapsulations.

RESUMO

A bidirectional planar-displacement waveguide tracker was devised to replace the traditional two-axis tracking system for high-concentration photovoltaics, with improved module thickness, optical field uniformity, and current matching. The concentrating magnification reaches 725 times, and the sun tracking angle is more than 170°, which is equivalent to 11.3 tracking hours per day. The module thickness is only 6.16 cm. This design enabled us to place the module flat on the ground, in which swing was not required. This will greatly improve the mechanical strength and the lifetime of the module and solve the development dilemma faced by III-V multijunction solar cells.

RESUMO

The averaged power conversion efficiency of polyelectrolytes (P3CT-Na) based MAPbI3solar cells can be increased from 14.94% to 17.46% with a wetting method before the spin-coating process of MAPbI3precursor solutions. The effects of the wetting process on the surface, structural, optical and excitonic properties of MAPbI3thin films are investigated by using the atomic-force microscopic images, x-ray diffraction patterns, transmittance spectra, photoluminescence spectra and Raman scattering spectra. The experimental results show that the wetting process of MAPbI3precursor solution on top of the P3CT-Na/ITO/glass substrate can be used to manipulate the molecular packing structure of the P3CT-Na thin film, which determines the formation of MAPbI3thin films.

RESUMO

In the formation of noncovalent complexes, the stacking arrangements of corannulene and fullerene are diverse, most of which are combinations of multiple corannulenes and fullerene. Here, a composition ratio of 2 : 1 was selected for the complex between corannulene and fullerene (C60 and C70) to investigate the effects of different superposition modes, including concave-convex and convex-convex interactions, on the stability and third-order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of the composite materials. It was found that the concave-convex interaction was stronger and it was reported to stabilize the charge-transfer (CT) complex more effectively than the convex-convex interaction. The dispersion range of the concave-convex interaction was larger than that of the convex-convex interaction, which is consistent with the interaction energy results. The packing design with the double convex-convex interactions exhibited the largest linear optical response and third-order NLO response, which showed that the convex-convex interaction was more likely to be excited and cause intermolecular CT as compared to the concave-convex interaction. This work confirmed that the packing arrangement significantly affected the NLO response and will advance the development of NLO crystals.

RESUMO

In this research, silicon oxynitride films were prepared by high-power impulse magnetron sputtering with 45/955 pulse on/off time. The extinction coefficient was smaller than 1×10-3 from 250 to 700 nm after introducing 2.2 sccm O2 gas at room temperature. A three-layer of AlF3/SiOxNy AR coating was designed and fabricated on double-sided quartz, and a high transmittance of 99.2% was attained at 248 nm. The silicon oxynitride films deposited at 350°C had the better mechanical and optical properties in the visible range. The hardness of all deposited films was greater than 19 GPa, and the greatest hardness could reach to 29.8 GPa. A film structure of six-layer transparent hard coating/glass/four-layer AR coating was designed and deposited. Its average transmittance was 96.0% in the visible range, while its hardness was 21 GPa and its surface roughness was 0.23 nm.

RESUMO

In this study, we demonstrate an easy and reliable solution-processed technique using an extra adductive in the perovskite precursor solution. Using this method, a dense and uniform morphology with full surface coverage and highly fluorescent films with nanoscale crystal grains can be obtained. The high exciton binding energy in the resulting films employing octylammonium bromide (OAB) adductives proved that high fluorescence originated from the quantum confinement effect. The corresponding perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) that were based on this technique also exhibited excellent device performance.

RESUMO

Olfactomedin-4 (OLFM4, GW112, hGC-1) is a glycoprotein belonging to the olfactomedin family. The expression of OLFM4 is strong in the small intestine, colon and prostate, and moderate in the stomach and bone marrow. Previous studies have revealed that OLFM4 is closely associated with many digestive diseases. Up-regulation of OLFM4 has been detected in the Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori)-infected gastric mucosa, inflammatory bowel disease tissue and gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer and gallbladder cancer. Down-regulation of OLFM4 has also been detected in some cases, such as in poorly differentiated, advanced-stage and metastatic tumors. Studies using OLFM4-deficient mouse models have revealed that OLFM4 acts as a negative regulator of H. pylori-specific immune responses and plays an important role in mucosal defense in inflammatory bowel disease. Patients with OLFM4-positive gastric cancer or colorectal cancer have a better survival rate than OLFM4-negative patients. However, the prognosis is worse in pancreatic cancer patients with high levels of expression of OLFM4. The NF-κB, Notch and Wnt signaling pathways are involved in the regulation of OLFM4 expression in digestive diseases, and its role in pathogenesis is associated with anti-inflammation, apoptosis, cell adhesion and proliferation. OLFM4 may serve as a potential specific diagnostic marker and a therapeutic target in digestive diseases. Further studies are required to explore the clinical value of OLFM4.

RESUMO

A graded fullerene derivative thin film was used as a dual-functional electron transport layer (ETL) in CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) solar cells, to improve the fill factor (FF) and device stability. The graded ETL was made by mixing phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) molecules and C60-diphenylmethanofullerene-oligoether (C60-DPM-OE) molecules using the spin-coating method. The formation of the graded ETLs can be due to the phase separation between hydrophobic PCBM and hydrophilic C60-DPM-OE, which was confirmed by XPS depth-profile analysis and an electron energy-loss spectroscope. Comprehensive studies were carried out to explore the characteristics of the graded ETLs in MAPbI3 solar cells, including the surface properties, electronic energy levels, molecular packing properties and energy transfer dynamics. The elimination of the s-shape in the current density-voltage curves results in an increase in the FF, which originates from the smooth contact between the C60-DPM-OE and hydrophilic MAPbI3 and the formation of the more ordered ETL. There was an improvement in device stability mainly due to the decrease in the photothermal induced morphology change of the graded ETLs fabricated from two fullerene derivatives with distinct hydrophilicity. Consequently, such a graded ETL provides dual-functional capabilities for the realization of stable high-performance MAPbI3 solar cells.

RESUMO

Comprehensive studies were carried out to understand the origin of the current hysteresis effects in highly efficient C60-CH3NH3PbI3(MAPbI3) heterojunction solar cells, using atomic-force microscopy, transmittance spectra, photoluminescence spectra, X-ray diffraction patterns and a femtosecond time-resolved pump-probe technique. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of C60-MAPbI3 solar cells can be increased to 18.23% by eliminating the point (lattice) defects in the MAPbI3 thin film which is fabricated by using the one-step spin-coating method with toluene washing treatment. The experimental results show that the point defects and surface defects of the MAPbI3 thin films can be minimized by varying the dropping time of the washing solvent. The point defects (surface defects) can be reduced with an (a) increase (decrease) in the dropping time, resulting in an optimized dropping time for obtaining the defect-minimized MAPbI3 thin film deposited on top of the C60 thin film. Consequently, the formation of the defect-minimized MAPbI3 thin film allows for high-efficiency MAPbI3 solar cells.

RESUMO

Dimethylformamide/dimethyl sulfoxide solvent mixtures were used as the CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPbI3) precursor solvent in a one-step spin coating method to fabricate smooth and hydrophilic crystalline MAPbI3 thin films on top of hydrophobic carbon-60 (C60) thin film for highly efficient photovoltaics. The structural, optical, and excitonic characteristics of the resultant MAPbI3 thin films were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic-force microscopy, absorbance spectroscopy, photoluminescence (PL) spectrometry, and nanosecond time-resolved PL. There was a trade-off between the crystallinity and surface roughness of the MAPbI3 thin films, which strongly influenced the device performance of MAPbI3-based photovoltaics. The high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 17.55% was achieved by improving the wettability of MAPbI3 precursor solutions on top of the C60 thin films. In addition, it was predicted that the fill factor and PCE could be further improved by increasing the crystallinity of the MAPbI3 thin film while keeping it smooth.

RESUMO

Focal plane testing methods such as the Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor and phase-shifting deflectometry are valuable tools for optical testing. In this study, we propose a novel wavefront slope testing method that uses a scanning galvo laser, in which a single-mode Gaussian beam scans the pupils of the tested optics in the system. In addition, the ray aberration is reconstructed by the four-step phase-shifting measurement by modulating the angular domain. The measured wavefront is verified by a Fizeau interferometer in terms of Zernike polynomials.

RESUMO

In this paper, we applied the Fourier Transformation as a notion to calculate the orientation of hexagonal graphene domains on Cu substrate. We developed that a hexagon function to describe the diffraction pattern of hexagonal graphene. Hexagonal graphene domains grown on Cu (111) has an average value of orientation surrounding 3° in the frequency domain. For transparent conducting electrode applications, optical and electrical properties of large-area graphene film (2cm(2)) was measured. The results demonstrate that graphene grown on Cu (111) was greater than graphene grown on polycrystalline Cu.

RESUMO

An approximate growth model was employed to predict the time required to grow a graphene film by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Monolayer graphene films were synthesized on Cu foil at various hydrogen flow rates from 10 to 50 sccm. The sheet resistance of the graphene film was 310Ω/□ and the optical transmittance was 97.7%. The Raman intensity ratio of the G-peak to the 2D peak of the graphene film was as high as ~4 when the hydrogen flow rate was 30 sccm. The fitting curve obtained by the deviation equation of growth model closely matches the data. We believe that under the same conditions and with the same setup, the presented growth model can help manufacturers and academics to predict graphene growth time more accurately.

RESUMO

The refractive index and extinction coefficient of a triiodide perovskite absorber (TPA) were obtained by fitting the transmittance spectra of TPA/PEDOT:PSS/ITO/glass using the transfer matrix method. Cu nanoplasmonic structures were designed to enhance the exciton generation in the TPA and to simultaneously reduce the film thickness of the TPA. Excitons were effectively generated at the interface between TPA and Cu nanoparticles, as observed through the 3D finite-difference time-domain method. The exciton distribution is advantageous for the exciton dissociation and carrier transport.

RESUMO

Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) films were prepared by pulsed DC magnetron sputtering with a metal Sn target. Two different modes were applied to deposit the FTO films, and their respective optical and electrical properties were evaluated. In the transition mode, the minimum resistivity of the FTO film was 1.63×10(-3) Ω cm with average transmittance of 80.0% in the visible region. Furthermore, FTO films deposited in the oxide mode and mixed simultaneously with H2 could achieve even lower resistivity to 8.42×10(-4) Ω cm and higher average transmittance up to 81.1% in the visible region.
