RESUMO

At present, it is known that when there is clay in concrete, polycarboxylates (PCE) will preferably adsorb in the clay, so that PCE cannot be fully combined with cement particles, which reduces the workability of the cement slurry. In this paper, a new type of maltitol-ammonium salt cationic (KN-lm) sacrificial agent (SA) has been successfully developed via a simple method, which makes PCE easier to bond with cement particles in the cement slurry containing clay. The effect of KN-lm on the fluidity of clay-containing cement paste is studied, and the experimental results show that KN-lm, as an efficient SA of cement slurry, makes PCE more compatible with clay-containing cement slurry, and increases the initial fluidity of cement slurry by about 19%. Further investigations of TOC, XRD, and zeta potential measurements reveal that a KN-lm ion is only preferably adsorbed into clay compared to PCE through electrostatic adsorption but without having any crystal structure change, thus resulting in good dispersion of cement particles. The addition of KN-lm plays an important role in hindering the hydration expansion of the clay by preferential electrostatic adsorption, which means PCE cannot easily insert into the interlayer of the clay.

RESUMO

Herein, a novel self-supporting CuO/nickel-cobalt-sulfide (NCS) electrode was designed in a two-step electrodeposition technique followed by a calcination process. Three-dimensional copper foam (CF) was exploited as the current collector and spontaneous source for the in situ preparation of the CuO nanostructures, which ensured sufficient deposition space for the subsequent NCS layer, thus forming abundant electrochemical active sites. Such a hierarchical structure is conducive to providing a smooth path for promoting electronic transmission. Therefore, the optimized CuO/NCS electrode exhibits outstanding energy storage capability with extremely superior specific capacitance (Cs) of 7.08 F cm-2 at 4 mA cm-2 and coulombic efficiency of up to 94.83%, as well as excellent cycling stability with capacitance retention of 83.33% after 5000 cycles. The results presented in this work extend our horizons to fabricate novel hierarchical structured electrodes applied to energy storage devices.

RESUMO

Printing technology will improve the complexity and material waste of traditional deposition and lithography processes in device fabrication. In particular, the printing process can effectively control the functional layer stacking and channel shape in thin-film transistor (TFT) devices. We prepared the patterning indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) semiconductor layer with Ga, In, and Zn molar ratios of 1:2:7 on Si/SiO2 substrates. And the patterning source and drain electrodes were printed on the surface of semiconductor layers to construct a TFT device with the top contact and bottom gate structures. To overcome the problem of uniform distribution of applied voltages between electrode centers and edges, we investigated whether the circular arc channel could improve the carrier regulation ability under the field effect in printed TFTs compared with a traditional structure of rectangular symmetry and a rectangular groove channel. The drain current value of the IGZO TFT with a circular arc channel pattern was significantly enhanced compared to that of a TFT with rectangular symmetric source/drain electrodes under the corresponding drain-source voltage and gate voltage. The field effect properties of the device were obviously improved by introducing the arc-shaped channel structure.

RESUMO

This paper describes the design of a low-noise, high-speed readout-integrated circuit for use in InGaAs infrared focal plane arrays, and analyzes the working principle and noise index of the pixel circuit in detail. The design fully considers the dynamic range, noise, and power consumption of the pixel circuit in which a capacitance transimpedance amplifier structure is adopted as the input stage circuit, and chip fabrication via an XFAB 0.18 µm CMOS process is successfully realized. The ROIC adopts monolithic integration and implements various functions, such as windowing, subsampling, and different integration and readout modes. The ROIC reached an array scale of 32 × 32, a frame rate of 100 Hz, and a readout rate of 20 Mbps with an analog power consumption of less than 52 mW. The measurement results show that the input reference noise can be reduced to 143 e- via the CDS, and the fully customized scheme has certain advantages in the research of high-performance ROICs.

RESUMO

The coupled ionic and electronic transport in halide perovskites opens up new possibilities for semiconductor iontronic devices beyond solar cells. Nevertheless, the fundamental understanding of ionic behavior at the microscale remains vague, largely because of the inhomogeneity in polycrystalline thin films. Here, we show that the ion dynamics in single-crystalline perovskite nanoplates (NPs) are significantly different and that an external bias may induce highly anisotropic ionic transport in the NPs, thereby leading to a greatly enhanced local electric field. Using modified scanning photocurrent microscopy (SPCM), the origin of the photocurrent is pinpointed to the cathode region of the NP device, where subsequent energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) characterization confirms a large accumulation of halogen vacancies. In addition, the Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) measurement demonstrates a strong built-in electric field within a submicron length near the cathode, which alters the local electronic structure for efficient photo carrier separation. Such field-induced ionic behavior deepens the understanding of ion dynamics in perovskites and promotes scale-down of perovskite micro- and nanoiontronic and ion-optoelectronic devices.

RESUMO

N-TiO2/Ni(OH)2 nanofiber was successfully prepared by combining the electrospinning and solvothermal method. It has been found that under visible light irradiation, the as-obtained nanofiber exhibits excellent activity for the photodegradation of rhodamine B, and the average degradation rate reaches 3.1%/min-1. Further insight investigations reveal that such a high activity was mainly due to the heterostructure-induced increase in the charge transfer rate and separation efficiency.

RESUMO

Herein, a scalable electrodeposition strategy is proposed to achieve hierarchical CuO/nickel-cobalt-sulfide (NCS) electrodes using two-step potentiostatic deposition followed by high-temperature calcination. The introduction of CuO provides support for the further deposition of NSC to ensure a high load of active electrode materials, thus generating more abundant active electrochemical sites. Meanwhile, dense deposited NSC nanosheets are connected to each other to form many chambers. Such a hierarchical electrode prompts a smooth and orderly transmission channel for electron transport, and reserves space for possible volume expansion during the electrochemical test process. As a result, the CuO/NCS electrode exhibits superior specific capacitance (Cs) of 4.26 F cm-2 at 20 mA cm-2 and remarkable coulombic efficiency of 96.37%. Furthermore, the cycle stability of the CuO/NCS electrode remains at 83.05% within 5000 cycles. The multistep electrodeposition strategy provides a basis and reference for the rational design of hierarchical electrodes to be applied in the field of energy storage.

RESUMO

Two inorganic-organic hybrid complexes based on bi-capped Keggin-type cluster, {([CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[PMoVI8VV2VIV2O40(VIVO)2])[CuI(2,2'-bpy)]}∙2H2O (1) and {[CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[SiMoVI8.5MoV2.5VIVO40(VIVO)2]}[CuI0.5(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)0.5] (2) (bpy = bipyridine), had been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, TGA, PXRD and X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis. Compound 1 consists of a novel 1-D chain structure constructed from [CuI(2,2'-bpy)]+ unit linking bi-supported POMs anion {[CuII(2,2'-bpy)2]2[PMoVI8VV2VIV2O40(VIVO)2]}-. Compound 2 is a bi-capped Keggin cluster bi-supported Cu-bpy complex. The main highlights of the two compounds are that Cu-bpy cations contain both CuI and CuII complexes. Furthermore, the fluorescence properties, the catalytic properties, and the photocatalytic performance of compounds 1 and 2 have been assessed, and the results show that both compounds are active for styrene epoxidation and degradation and adsorption of Methylene blue (MB), Rhodamine B (RhB) and mixed aqueous solutions.

RESUMO

Herein, nickel-cobalt sulfide (NCS) nanoflakes covering the surface of Cu(OH)2 nanorods were achieved by a facile two-step electrodeposition strategy. The effect of CH4N2S concentration on formation mechanism and electrochemical behavior is investigated and optimized. Thanks to the synergistic effect of the selected composite components, the Cu(OH)2/NCS composite electrode can deliver a high areal specific capacitance (Cs) of 7.80 F cm-2 at 2 mA cm-2 and sustain 5.74 F cm-2 at 40 mA cm-2. In addition, coulombic efficiency was up to 84.30% and cyclic stability remained 82.93% within 5000 cycles at 40 mA cm-2. This innovative work provides an effective strategy for the design and construction of hierarchical composite electrodes for the development of energy storage devices.

RESUMO

Telluriums (Te) with various nanostructures, including particles, wires, and sheets, are controllably synthesized by adjusting the content of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) in a facile solvothermal reaction. Te nanostructures all have complete grain sizes with excellent crystallinity and mesopore structures. Further, the formation mechanisms of Te nanostructures are proposed to be that the primary nuclei of Te are released from the reduction of TeO32- using N2H4·H2O, and then grow into various nanostructures depending on the different content of PVP. These nanostructures of Te all exhibit the photocatalytic activities for the degradation of MB and H2 production under visible light irradiation, especially Te nanosheets, which have the highest efficiencies of degradation (99.8%) and mineralization (65.5%) at 120 min. In addition, compared with pure Te nanosheets, the rate of H2 production increases from 412 to 795 µmol∙h-1∙g-1 after the introduction of Pt, which increases the output by nearly two times. The above investigations indicate that Te with various nanostructures is a potential photocatalyst in the field of degradation of organic pollutants and H2 fuel cells.

RESUMO

The preparation of thin-film transistors (TFTs) with InGaZnO (IGZO) channels using sol-gel technology has the advantages of simplicity in terms of process and weak substrate selectivity. We prepared a series of TFT devices with a top contact and bottom gate structure, in which the top contact was divided into rectangular and circular structures of drain/source electrodes. The field-effect performance of TFT devices with circular pattern drain/source electrodes was better than that with a traditional rectangular structure on both substrates. The uniform distribution of the potential in the circular electrode structure was more conducive to the regulation of carriers under the same channel length at different applied voltages. In addition, with the development of transparent substrate devices, we also constructed a hafnium oxide (HfO2) insulation layer and an IGZO active layer on an indium tin oxide conductive substrate, and explored the effect of circular drain/source electrodes on field-effect properties of the semitransparent TFT device. The IGZO deposited on the HfO2 dielectric layer by spin-coating can effectively reduce the surface roughness of the HfO2 layer and optimize the scattering of carriers at the interface in TFT devices.

RESUMO

We prepared an indium-free metal oxide thin-film transistor (TFT) using a double-active-layers structure at room temperature. We changed the growth sequence of Al-doped zinc oxide (AZO) and zinc oxide (ZnO) double-active-layers on Si/SiO2 substrates by magnetron sputtering deposition to regulate the field-effect performance of TFTs. According to the analysis of field-effect properties before and after annealing in different atmospheres, the performance of TFT devices with ZnO/AZO/SiO2/Si double-active-layers was obviously better than that with single AZO or ZnO active layer and inverted AZO/ZnO/SiO2/Si double-active-layers in the device structure. The active layer with higher carrier concentration (AZO in this case) was closer to the dielectric layer, which was more favorable for carrier regulation in TFT devices. In addition, the annealed device had a lower on/off ratio (Ion/Ioff), easier-to-reach on-state, and higher mobility. Furthermore, the performance of the devices annealed under vacuum condition was obviously better than that annealed under air atmosphere. The Ion/Ioff could reach 6.8 × 105 and the threshold voltage was only 2.9 V.

RESUMO

A high-performance ZnSnO (ZTO) thin-film transistor (TFT) was fabricated, with ZTO deposited by rf magnetron sputtering. XPS was used to analyze and study the effects of different annealing temperatures on the element composition and valence state of ZTO films. Then, the influence mechanism of annealing treatment on the electrical properties of ZTO thin films was analyzed. The results show that, with an increase in annealing temperature, the amount of metal bonding with oxygen increases first and then decreases, while the oxygen vacancy decreases first and then increases. Further analysis on the ratio of Sn2+ is presented. Electrical results show that the TFT annealed at 600 °C exhibits the best performance. It exhibits high saturation mobilities (µSAT) up to 12.64 cm2V-1s-1, a threshold voltage (VTH) of -6.61 V, a large on/off current ratio (Ion/Ioff) of 1.87 × 109, and an excellent subthreshold swing (SS) of 0.79 V/Decade.

RESUMO

Developing efficient catalysts to produce clean fuel by using solar energy has long been the goal to mitigate the issue of traditional fossil fuel scarcity. In this work, we design a heterostructure photocatalyst by employing two green components, Ni(OH)2 and ZnIn2S4, for efficient photocatalytic H2 evolution under the illumination of visible light. After optimization, the obtained photocatalyst exhibits an H2 evolution rate at 0.52 mL h-1 (5 mg) (i.e., 4640 µmol h-1 g-1) under visible light illumination. Further investigations reveal that such superior activity is originated from the efficient charge separation due to the two-dimensional (2D) structure of ZnIn2S4 and existing high-quality heterojunction.

RESUMO

A Cu(OH)2/Ni3S2 composite has been designed and in situ constructed on Cu foam substrate by facile two-step electrodeposition. Cu(OH)2 is achieved on Cu foam by galvanostatic electrodeposition, and the subsequent coating of Ni3S2 is realized by cyclic voltammetric (CV) electrodeposition. The introduction of Cu(OH)2 provides skeleton support and a large specific surface area for the Ni3S2 electrodeposition. Benefiting from the selection of different components and preparation technology, the Cu(OH)2/Ni3S2 composite exhibits enhanced electrochemical properties with a high specific capacitance of 4.85 F cm-2 at 2 mA cm-2 and long-term cyclic stability at 80.84% (4000 cycles).

RESUMO

The ZnO/Ni2S3 composite has been designed and in situ synthesized on Ni foam substrate by two steps of electrodeposition. ZnO was achieved on Ni foam by a traditional potentiostatic deposition, followed by cyclic voltammetric (CV) electrodeposition, to generate Ni2S3, where the introduction of ZnO provides abundant active sites for the subsequent Ni2S3 electrodeposition. The amount of deposit during CV electrodeposition can be adjusted by setting the number of sweep segment and scan rate, and the electrochemical characteristics of the products can be readily optimized. The synergistic effect between the ZnO as backbones and the deposited Ni2S3 as the shell enhances the electrochemical properties of the sample significantly, including a highly specific capacitance of 2.19 F cm-2 at 2 mA cm-2, good coulombic efficiency of 98%, and long-term cyclic stability at 82.35% (4000 cycles).

RESUMO

Highly uniform and monodispersed Co2V2O7 hollow nanoprisms are successfully fabricated via a simple hard-template-engaged strategy. In such synthesis, Co acetate hydroxide plays the important role of not only the cobalt source, but also the sacrificial template. After coating with a carbon layer, the as-obtained Co2V2O7 hollow nanoprisms exhibit apparently enhanced lithium-ion-battery performances. It has shown a high specific capacity of around 946 mA h g-1 at a current density of 100 mA g-1, excellent cycling stability up to 300 cycles at a current density of 1 A g-1, and superior rate performance, which is much better than carbon coated solid Co2V2O7 samples.
