RESUMO

Effects of varying degree of milling (DOM) (0-22%) on the bran layer structure, physicochemical properties, and cooking quality of brown rice were explored. As the DOM increased, bran degree, protein, lipid, dietary fiber, amylose, mineral elements, and color parameters (a* and b* values) of milled rice decreased while starch and L* value increased. Microscopic fluorescence images showed that the pericarp, combined seed coat-nucellus layer, and aleurone layer were removed in rice processed at DOM of 6.6%, 9.2%, and 15.4%, respectively. The pasting properties, thermal properties, and palatability of rice increased as the DOM increased. Principal component and correlation analysis indicated that excessive milling lead to a decline in nutritional value of rice with limited impact on enhancing palatability. Notably, when parts of aleurone cell wall were retained, rice samples exhibited high cooking and sensory properties. It serves as a potential guide to the production of moderately milled rice.

RESUMO

Objective: To establish a nomogram based on presurgical predictors of concurrent endometrial cancer (EC) for patients diagnosed with endometrial atypical hyperplasia before definitive surgery (preoperative-EAH) to improve the risk stratification and clinical application. Methods: Preoperative-EAH patients who underwent hysterectomy in a tertiary hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. Independent predictors from the multivariate logistic regression model were used to establish a nomogram, and bootstrap resampling was used for internal validation. Results: Of 370 preoperative-EAH patients, 23.4% were diagnosed with EC after definitive surgery (final-EC). Multivariate analyses found three independent predictors of final EC: human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) ≥43.50 pmol/L [odds ratio (OR) = 3.70; 95% confidence intervals (CI) = 2.06-6.67], body mass index (BMI) ≥ 28 kg/m2 (OR = 2.05; 95% CI = 1.14-3.69), and postmenopausal status, particularly at postmenopausal time ≥5 years (OR = 5.84, 95% CI = 2.51-13.55), which were used to establish a nomogram model. The bootstrap-corrected C-index of the nomogram was 0.733 (95% CI = 0.68-0.79), which was significantly higher than that of each individual factor. The calibration curve and decision curve showed good consistency and clinical net benefit of the model. At the maximum Youden index, 49.4% (43/87) of women in the high-risk group defined by nomogram had concurrent EC, versus 16.6% in the low-risk group (P< 0.001). Conclusion: The nomogram based on HE4, menopausal status, and BMI was found with an improved predictive value to stratify preoperative-EAH patients at high risk of concurrent EC for better clinical management.

RESUMO

The challenge remains in developing hemostatic dressings that can fulfill both hemostatic and repair functions to meet clinical demands worldwide. Herein, the biodegradable powders composed of benzeneboronic acid-modified sodium alginate/catechol-modified quaternized chitosan hydrogel (SBQCC) networks and bioactive cerium oxide nanoparticles (CNPs), were prepared for hemostasis and promoting wound healing. The SBQCC/CNPs powders had good self-gelation ability, water absorption ratio, tissue adhesiveness and biocompatibility. The SBQCC/CNPs powders could not only rapidly absorb a large amount of blood to concentrate coagulation factors when applied on bleeding wounds, but also formed an adhesive hydrogel physical barrier to control bleeding in situ. Meanwhile, the aggregation and activation of red blood cells and platelets induced by the SBQCC/CNPs powders can initiate the forming of internal blood clot with fibrin to further enhance the hemostatic effect. The SBQCC/CNPs powders demonstrated excellent hemostatic performance in non-compressible rat tail vein bleeding and rabbit liver bleeding models. In addition, SBQCC/CNPs powder-derived hydrogels had antibacterial activity and multiple biological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and promoting angiogenesis for accelerating wound healing. Therefore, the SBQCC/CNPs powders can accelerate wound healing while achieving effective hemostasis, which will be a promising hemostatic dressing.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Music has frequently been used in movement exercises to enhance health benefits. However, scientific evidence regarding the application of music to Tai Chi practice is limited. OBJECTIVE: This scoping review aims to understand how music has been used in Tai Chi practice and whether music could be applied to Tai Chi practice to help optimize its benefits. METHODS: PubMed, CINAHL, CNKI, and Weipu databases were searched. We included studies that compare Tai Chi practice experience or health outcomes between individuals practicing Tai Chi with music and those practicing Tai Chi without music. Studies published through September 2022 were identified. Two researchers (YD and YH) independently performed study selection and data extraction. Thematic analysis was used to summarize and categorize the findings of the included studies. RESULTS: Seven studies were included in this review. All 7 included studies are experimental studies. Practicing Tai Chi with music might lead to positive perceptions of Tai Chi practice (eg, motivation, concentration, enjoyment, compliance, and performance) and higher evaluations of Tai Chi instructional quality, especially for Tai Chi beginners. The effects of incorporating music into Tai Chi practice on health outcomes are inconclusive due to the heterogeneities of the sample size, and the intervention components, lengths, and frequencies of the included studies. CONCLUSIONS: Applying music to Tai Chi practice may result in positive Tai Chi practice experience and adherence, particularly for beginners, which could help improve the dissemination and implementation of Tai Chi interventions for public health. However, whether applying music to Tai Chi practice leads to synergetic effects on health outcomes needs further investigation.

RESUMO

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), an uncommonly low 5-year survival and high mortality rate, is a potentially catastrophic diagnosed subtype of leukemia. The development of new prognostic markers is urgently needed to guide its treatment. Necroptosis is a newly defined biological process for regulating cell death, and previous studies have confirmed that the abnormality of the physical function can lead to multiple malignancies. Here, we performed necroptosis-related genes (NRGs) to build a predictive model in the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)-AML patients, thus exploring the correlation between the NRG prognosis signature (NRG score) of this model and immune infiltration, pathway activity, clinical features, and immunotherapy. Besides, we computed the statistical measure Spearman rank correlation between the NRG score and the Log IC50 values of therapeutic agents. Subsequently, we divided the TCGA-AML cohort into 2 groups, one with high scores and the other with low scores depending on the model score. AML patients with high NRG scores exhibited a lower estimated overall survival (OS) rate than those with low NRG scores, which was confirmed in the validation set. The prognostic value of the constructed NRG signature to the AML, independent of other variables, was demonstrated by uni- and multivariate stepwise regression analysis. When comparing the infiltrating states of specialized cells associated with immune system from the 2 groups, B cells naive, Plasma cells, and monocytes represented significant differences among various subgroups of samples. Moreover, the 30 hallmark-related pathways related to necroptosis characteristics were remarkably different between the high/low NRG score groups. And patients showed remarkable NRG score distribution in clinical features of bone marrow lymphocyte, category, and FAB classifications. Besides, we found that the BIRB0796, VX680, Vorinostat, and Axitinib positively related with NRG score, whereas CI. 1040, PD. 0325901, Z.L LNle. CHO, and AZD6244 negatively correlated with the NRG score. These drugs may provide a reference for subsequent treatment.

RESUMO

The limitations and complexity of traditional noncontact sensors in terms of sensitivity and threshold settings pose great challenges to extend the traditional five human senses. Here, we propose tele-perception to enhance human perception and cognition beyond these conventional noncontact sensors. Our bionic multi-receptor skin employs structured doping of inorganic nanoparticles to enhance the local electric field, coupled with advanced deep learning algorithms, achieving a ΔV/Δd sensitivity of 14.2, surpassing benchmarks. This enables precise remote control of surveillance systems and robotic manipulators. Our long short-term memory-based adaptive pulse identification achieves 99.56% accuracy in material identification with accelerated processing speeds. In addition, we demonstrate the feasibility of using a two-dimensional (2D) sensor matrix to integrate real object scan data into a convolutional neural network to accurately discriminate the shape and material of 3D objects. This promises transformative advances in human-computer interaction and neuromorphic computing.

RESUMO

Background: The recently identified carcinogenic long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) MIR4435-2HG has been validated to contribute to the initiation and progression of several malignancies. Nonetheless, its specific mechanistic function in pancreatic cancer (PC) is yet to be determined. This study aims to investigate the expression and functional role of MIR4435-2HG in PC and to elucidate its potential mechanism. Methods: This study employed The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx)-Pancreas datasets for the analysis of MIR4435-2HG expression in PC and normal pancreatic tissues and its relations with prognosis in PC. Moreover, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was employed for analyzing MIR4435-2HG, miR-128-3p, and ABHD17C expressions within cells and tissues. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were detected in vitro through Cell Counting Kit 8 (CCK-8) assay and flow cytometry while utilizing transwell and wound healing assays to assess cell migration and invasion. Predicting miR-128-3p binding sites with MIR4435-2HG or ABHD17C was conducted via the online tool starBase and validated through a dual-luciferase reporter (DLR), RNA pull-down and RNA binding protein immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays. Herein, we deployed Western blot to assess protein expression levels. The in vivo role of MIR4435-2HG was studied using tumor xenografts. Results: MIR4435-2HG overexpression exhibited a correlation with poor prognosis in PC. Knocking down MIR4435-2HG significantly hindered the proliferative, invading, and migrating PC cell abilities, accompanied by apoptosis induction, counteracted via a miR-128-3p inhibitor. Moreover, MIR4435-2HG could directly bind to miR-128-3p. Additionally, miR-128-3p directly targeted ABHD17C. Furthermore, in vitro as well as in vivo experiment results elucidated that knocking down MIR4435-2HG hindered PC progression by suppressing ABHD17C expression via miR-128-3p upregulation. Conclusions: MIR4435-2HG can serve as a dependable target for PC diagnosis and treatment by modulating the miR-128-3p/ABHD17C axis to promote its progression.

RESUMO

The present study focused on the efficacy and role of triptolide (TPL) in relieving symptoms of acute gouty arthritis (AGA) in vivo and in vitro. The effects of TPL in AGA were investigated in monosodium urate (MSU)-treated rat ankles, RAW264.7 macrophages, and neutrophils isolated from mouse peritoneal cavity. Observation of pathological changes in the ankle joint of rats. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) were performed to detect the expression levels of inflammatory factors and chemokines. The levels of the indicators of macrophage M1/M2 polarization, and the mechanistic targets of Akt and rapamycin complex 2, were determined via western blotting and RT-qPCR. The expression levels of CD86 and CD206 were detected using immunohistochemistry. Neutrophil migration was observed via air pouch experiments in vivo and Transwell cell migration assay in vitro. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) and Neutrophil elastase (NE) release was analyzed by via immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The expression levels of beclin-1, LC3B, Bax, Bcl-2, and cleaved caspase-3 in neutrophils were determined via western blotting and immunofluorescence. Neutrophil apoptosis was detected using the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling assay. Our results suggest that TPL inhibited inflammatory cell infiltration in rat ankle joints and inflammatory factor and chemokine secretion in rat serum, regulated macrophage polarization through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, suppressed inflammatory factor and chemokine expression in neutrophils, and inhibited neutrophil migration, neutrophil extracellular trap formation, transitional autophagy, and apoptosis. This suggests that TPL can prevent and treat MSU-induced AGA by regulating macrophage polarization through the PI3K/Akt pathway and modulating neutrophil activity.

RESUMO

Background and Objective: Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) is a complex chronic disease caused by multiple factors that frequently occurs disease in the clinic. The worldwide prevalence of CAG is high. Interestingly, clinical CAG patients often present with a variety of symptom phenotypes, which makes it more difficult for clinicians to treat. Therefore, there is an urgent need to improve our understanding of the complexity of the clinical CAG population, obtain more accurate disease subtypes, and explore the relationship between clinical symptoms and medication. Therefore, based on the integrated platform of complex networks and clinical research, we classified the collected patients with CAG according to their different clinical characteristics and conducted correlation analysis on the classification results to identify more accurate disease subtypes to aid in personalized clinical treatment. Method: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) offers an empirical understanding of the clinical subtypes of complicated disorders since TCM therapy is tailored to the patient's symptom profile. We gathered 6,253 TCM clinical electronic medical records (EMRs) from CAG patients and manually annotated, extracted, and preprocessed the data. A shared symptom-patient similarity network (PSN) was created. CAG patient subgroups were established, and their clinical features were determined through enrichment analysis employing community identification methods. Different clinical features of relevant subgroups were correlated based on effectiveness to identify symptom-botanical botanical drugs correspondence. Moreover, network pharmacology was employed to identify possible biological relationships between screened symptoms and medications and to identify various clinical and molecular aspects of the key subtypes using Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analysis. Results: 5,132 patients were included in the study: 2,699 males (52.60%) and 2,433 females (47.41%). The population was divided into 176 modules. We selected the first 3 modules (M29, M3, and M0) to illustrate the characteristic phenotypes and genotypes of CAG disease subtypes. The M29 subgroup was characterized by gastric fullness disease and internal syndrome of turbidity and poison. The M3 subgroup was characterized by epigastric pain and disharmony between the liver and stomach. The M0 subgroup was characterized by epigastric pain and dampness-heat syndrome. In symptom analysis, The top symptoms for symptom improvement in all three subgroups were stomach pain, bloating, insomnia, poor appetite, and heartburn. However, the three groups were different. The M29 subgroup was more likely to have stomach distention, anorexia, and palpitations. Citrus medica, Solanum nigrum, Jiangcan, Shan ci mushrooms, and Dillon were the most popular botanical drugs. The M3 subgroup has a higher incidence of yellow urine, a bitter tongue, and stomachaches. Smilax glabra, Cyperus rotundus, Angelica sinensis, Conioselinum anthriscoides, and Paeonia lactiflora were the botanical drugs used. Vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, and appetite loss are common in the M0 subgroup. The primary medications are Scutellaria baicalensis, Smilax glabra, Picrorhiza kurroa, Lilium lancifolium, and Artemisia scoparia. Through GO and KEGG pathway analysis, We found that in the M29 subgroup, Citrus medica, Solanum nigrum, Jiangcan, Shan ci mushrooms, and Dillon may exert their therapeutic effects on the symptoms of gastric distension, anorexia, and palpitations by modulating apoptosis and NF-κB signaling pathways. In the M3 subgroup, Smilax glabra, Cyperus rotundus, Angelica sinensis, Conioselinum anthriscoides, and Paeonia lactiflora may be treated by NF-κB and JAK-STAT signaling pathway for the treatment of stomach pain, bitter mouth, and yellow urine. In the M0 subgroup, Scutellaria baicalensis, Smilax glabra, Picrorhiza kurroa, Lilium lancifolium, and Artemisia scoparia may exert their therapeutic effects on poor appetite, stomach pain, vomiting, and nausea through the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. Conclusion: Based on PSN identification and community detection analysis, CAG population division can provide useful recommendations for clinical CAG treatment. This method is useful for CAG illness classification and genotyping investigations and can be used for other complicated chronic diseases.

RESUMO

Objective: The objective of this research is to scrutinize adverse events (AEs) linked to Trifluridine/Tipiracil (TFTD/TPI), using data from the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System (FAERS) database. Methods: The AEs data related to TFTD/TPI were collected from the fourth quarter of 2015 through the fourth quarter of 2023. After normalizing the data, multiple signal quantification techniques including Proportional Reporting Ratio (PRR), Reporting Odds Ratio (ROR), Bayesian approaches such as Bayesian Confidence Propagation Neural Network (BCPNN) and the Multi-item Gamma Poisson Shrinker (MGPS) were used for overall and subgroup analysis and visualization analyses were performed. Results: From the FAERS database, we analyzed 13,520,073 reports, identifying 8,331 as primary suspect (PS) AEs for TFTD/TPI, occurring across 27 organ systems. The study retained 99 significant disproportionality Preferred Terms (PTs) across four algorithms and unveiled unexpected serious AEs such as iron deficiency and intestinal perforation, hepatic failure, cholangitis and so on. The median onset of TFTD/TPI-associated AEs was 44 days (IQR 20-97 days), with most occurring within the first 30 days of treatment. Conclusion: This research uncovers critical new safety signals for TFTD/TPI, supporting its clinical monitoring and risk identification.

RESUMO

The repair of DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) through alternative non-homologous end-joining (alt-NHEJ) pathway significantly contributes to genetic instability. However, the mechanism governing alt-NHEJ pathway choice, particularly its association with DSB complexity, remains elusive due to the absence of a suitable reporter system. In this study, we established a unique Escherichia coli reporter system for detecting complex DSB-initiated alternative end-joining (A-EJ), an alt-NHEJ-like pathway. By utilizing various types of ionizing radiation to generate DSBs with varying degrees of complexity, we discovered that high complexity of DSBs might be a determinant for A-EJ choice. To facilitate efficient repair of high-complexity DSBs, A-EJ employs distinct molecular patterns such as longer micro-homologous junctions and non-templated nucleotide addition. Furthermore, the A-EJ choice is modulated by the degree of homology near DSB loci, competing with homologous recombination machinery. These findings further enhance the understanding of A-EJ/alt-NHEJ pathway choice.

RESUMO

Background: Catheter malfunction is a common problem following the placement of a peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheter, and it is characterized by inadequate dialysate drainage, which can also limit infusion. Common causes include constipation, catheter migration, catheter kinking, omental wrapping, and fibrin obstruction. However, catheter obstruction by other intra-abdominal organs has been observed infrequently. Case Description: We present two cases of female PD patients experiencing catheter dysfunction after catheter implantation. The first case involves a 28-year-old female who suffered from problematic drainage and infusion of dialysate 1 month after catheter insertion, evidenced by catheter displacement from the pelvis on abdominal X-ray. The second case concerns a 49-year-old female PD patient who also encountered a bidirectional catheter malfunction 40 days post-implantation. Conservative methods failed to restore the catheter function in both patients. Laparoscopic examination revealed fallopian tube, not the omentum, was tightly wrapped around the PD catheter in both cases. Finally, laparoscopic surgery with catheter fixation restored the catheter function, enabling continued continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) with favorable outcomes. Conclusions: Our findings indicate that healthcare providers should consider fallopian tube wrapping as a potential cause of catheter dysfunction. Prompt consideration and utilization of laparoscopy with catheter fixation can play an important role in restoring catheter function and improving patient outcomes.

RESUMO

Surface reconstruction plays a pivotal role in enhancing the activity of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), particularly in terms of the structural transformation from metal oxides to (oxy)hydroxides. Herein, a novel (oxy)hydroxide (FeCoNiCuMoOOH) with high entropy is developed by the electrochemical reconstitution of corresponding oxide (FeCoNiCuMoOx). Significantly, the FeCoNiCuMoOOH exhibits much higher OER electrocatalytic activity and durability with an overpotential as low as 201 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm-2, and with a Tafel slope of 39.4 mV dec-1. The FeCoNiCuMoOOH/NF presents high stability when testing under a constant current at 100 mA cm-2 within 1000 h. The surface reconstruction is a process of dissolution-reprecipitation of Cu and Mo species and co-hydroxylation of five metal species, which ultimately leads to the formation of FeCoNiCuMoOOH from FeCoNiCuMoOx. This study holds great significance in the realm of designing high-entropy (oxy)hydroxides catalysts with exceptional activity and stability for OER.

RESUMO

In the ongoing arms race between rice and Magnaporthe oryzae, the pathogen employs effectors to evade the immune response, while the host develops resistance genes to recognise these effectors and confer resistance. In this study, we identified a novel Pik allele, Pik-W25, from wild rice WR25 through bulked-segregant analysis, creating the Pik-W25 NIL (Near-isogenic Lines) named G9. Pik-W25 conferred resistance to isolates expressing AvrPik-C/D/E alleles. CRISPR-Cas9 editing was used to generate transgenic lines with a loss of function in Pik-W25-1 and Pik-W25-2, resulting in loss of resistance in G9 to isolates expressing the three alleles, confirming that Pik-W25-induced immunity required both Pik-W25-1 and Pik-W25-2. Yeast two-hybrid (Y2H) and split luciferase complementation assays showed interactions between Pik-W25-1 and the three alleles, while Pik-W25-2 could not interact with AvrPik-C, -D, and -E alleles with Y2H assay, indicating Pik-W25-1 acts as an adaptor and Pik-W25-2 transduces the signal to trigger resistance. The Pik-W25 NIL exhibited enhanced field resistance to leaf and panicle blast without significant changes in morphology or development compared to the parent variety CO39, suggesting its potential for resistance breeding. These findings advance our knowledge of rice blast resistance mechanisms and offer valuable resources for effective and sustainable control strategies.

RESUMO

Acquired resistance to endocrine treatments remains a major clinical challenge. In this study, we found that desmoglein-2 (DSG2) plays a major role in acquired endocrine resistance and cellular plasticity in ER+ breast cancer (BC). By analysing the well-established fulvestrant-resistant ER+ BC model using single-cell RNA-seq, we revealed that ER inhibition leads to a specific increase in DSG2 in cancer cell populations, which in turn enhances desmosome formation in vitro and in vivo and cell phenotypic plasticity that promotes resistance to treatment. DSG2 depletion reduced tumorigenesis and metastasis in fulvestrant-resistant xenograft models and promoted fulvestrant efficiency. Mechanistically, DSG2 forms a desmosome complex with JUP and Vimentin and triggers Wnt/PCP signalling. We showed that elevated DSG2 levels, along with reduced ER levels and an activated Wnt/PCP pathway, predicted poor survival, suggesting that a DSG2high signature could be exploited for therapeutic interventions. Our analysis highlighted the critical role of DSG2-mediated desmosomal junctions following antiestrogen treatment.

RESUMO

Due to the specialization of tennis technical training, the teaching focus of tennis teaching has gradually shifted to the psychological skills training of tennis players. This work addresses the impact of psychological factors on tennis players' insufficient concentration in teaching and training on match results. It discusses the psychological changes' influencing factors in tennis training strategies and analyzes the current psychological changes that are easy to occur in tennis teaching. The Recurrent Neural Network (RNN) can simulate the human brain's information processing and learning process to establish models to study human psychological changes. To explore the influence of psychological changes on tennis training, artificial intelligence technology is combined to optimize the performance of RNN, and a prediction model of psychological distress in tennis training is constructed. Additionally, a questionnaire is applied to compare the sports state of tennis players before and after the psychological regulation intervention. The findings demonstrate that following psychological regulation, 73 % of players perform as usual, 20 % present exceptionally well, and 7 % do not perform as well as usual. These results indicate an improvement compared to previous performances, highlighting the efficacy of psychological regulation supported by optimized RNN under AI assistance. This study aims to foster a consistently positive psychological state among tennis players during daily training and competitions, ensuring that their competitive performance levels remain normal or even exceed their usual standards.

RESUMO

Lacking of adequate knowledge is an obstacle to effective prevention of cervical cancer, yet factors that affect the information acquisition and seeking behavior as well as the information communication process are not well studied. We assessed information acquisition and seeking behavior, as well as perceived barriers of doctor-patient communication regarding human papilloma virus (HPV)-related information of infected women. Among 437 participants, 405 (93%) expressed demands for HPV-related information, while only a small proportion (100/437, 22.9%) actively sought information and felt obstacles comprehending. Web-based channels were most frequently utilized and medical personnel were the most trusted information source. Patients' satisfaction was significantly correlated with doctor's patience (r = 0.581, p < 0.001) and emotional caring (r = 0.555, p < 0.001). Compared to patients not actively seeking information, those actively seeking information were more likely to be single (p = 0.005), had higher education (p = 0.009) and monthly individual-level income (p = 0.023), and was more likely to undergo regular cervical cancer screening (p = 0.003), and were already or willing to be vaccinated (p = 0.008). The actively seeking information group also achieved higher scores in HPV knowledge test (p = 0.007). Public health interventions targeting HPV-infected women using specifically designed educational materials may influence information seeking behavior, increase HPV literacy and knowledge, which could potentially increase HPV vaccine uptake and cervical cancer screening rate.

RESUMO

Partial discharge (PD) is one of the major causes of insulation accidents in oil-immersed transformers, generating a large number of signals that represent the health status of the transformer. In particular, acoustic signals can be detected by sensors to locate the source of the partial discharge. However, the array, type, and quantity of sensors play a crucial role in the research on the localization of partial discharge sources within transformers. Hence, this paper proposes a novel sensor array for the specific localization of PD sources using COMSOL Multiphysics software 6.1 to establish a three-dimensional model of the oil-immersed transformer and the different defect types of two-dimensional models. "Electric-force-acoustic" multiphysics field simulations were conducted to model ultrasonic signals of different types of PD by setting up detection points to collect acoustic signals at different types and temperatures instead of physical sensors. Subsequently, simulated waveforms and acoustic spatial distribution maps were acquired in the software. These simulation results were then combined with the time difference of arrival (TDOA) algorithm to solve a system of equations, ultimately yielding the position of the discharge source. Calculated positions were compared with the actual positions using an error iterative algorithm method, with an average spatial error about 1.3 cm, which falls within an acceptable range for fault diagnosis in transformers, validating the accuracy of the proposed method. Therefore, the presented sensor array and computational localization method offer a reliable theoretical basis for fault diagnosis techniques in transformers.

RESUMO

The electrochemical advanced oxidation process (EAOP) has shown significant promise in the field of refractory organic wastewater treatment due to its high efficiency and environmentally friendly nature. In this study, Ti/Sb-SnO2 electrodes with varying proportions of Hf were prepared using the sol-gel method. The addition of Hf transformed the original collapsing and broken surface into a flat and regular surface. The results demonstrated that Ti/Sb-SnO2-Hf electrode doped with 6% Hf exhibited a higher oxygen evolution potential (OEP) and excellent stability. The OEP increased from 2.315 V without Hf-doping to 2.482 V, and the corresponding actual life was 321.05% higher than that without Hf. The current density (5-40 mA·cm-2), electrolyte concentration (0.02-0.2 mol·L-1), pH (3-11), and initial pollutant concentration (5-80 mg·L-1) were evaluated to confirm the tetracycline (TC) degradation characterization of Ti/Sb-SnO2-6%Hf electrodes. It was concluded that under the optimal degradation conditions, the removal rate of TC could reach 99.66% within 2 h. The degradation of TC follows first-order reaction kinetics. The oxidative degradation of TC was achieved through indirect oxidation, with ·OH playing a dominant role. TC's electrochemical oxidation degradation pathway has been proposed: Based on LC-MS results, three main pathways are speculated. During the electrocatalytic oxidation process, decarboxylation, deamidation, and ring-opening reactions occur under ·OH attack, producing intermediate compounds with m/z values of 427, 433, 350, 246, 461, 424, 330, 352, 309, 263, and 233. These intermediates are further oxidized to intermediate compounds with an m/z value of 218. This work introduces a new efficient anode electrochemical catalyst for the degradation of TC, providing a strategy for industrial applications.

RESUMO

NAD(P)H: quinone oxidoreductase-1 (NQO1) plays critical roles in antioxidation and abnormally overexpresses in tumors. Developing a fast and sensitive method of monitoring NQO1 will greatly promote cancer diagnosis in clinical practice. This study introduces a transformative colorimetric detection strategy for NQO1, harnessing an innovative competitive substrate mechanism between NQO1 and a new NADH oxidase (NOX) mimic, cobalt-nitrogen-doped carbon nanozyme (CoNC). This method ingeniously exploits the differential consumption of NADH in the presence of NQO1 to modulate the generation of H2O2 from CoNC catalysis, which is then quantified through a secondary, peroxidase-mimetic cascade reaction involving Prussian blue (PB) nanoparticles. This dual-stage reaction framework not only enhances the sensitivity of NQO1 detection, achieving a limit of detection as low as 0.67 µg mL-1, but also enables the differentiation between cancerous and noncancerous cells by their enzymatic activity profiles. Moreover, CoNC exhibits exceptional catalytic efficiency, with a specific activity reaching 5.2 U mg-1, significantly outperforming existing NOX mimics. Beyond mere detection, CoNC serves a dual role, acting as both a robust mimic of cytochrome c reductase (Cyt c) and a cornerstone for enzymatic regeneration, thereby broadening the scope of its biological applications. This study not only marks a significant step forward in the bioanalytical application of nanozymes but also sets the stage for their expanded use in clinical diagnostics and therapeutic monitoring.
