RESUMO

The research object is diorite in the Lingbei TBM section of the Hanjiang-To-Weihe River Qinling tunnel, with a buried depth of over 1 km. Using MTS-2000 microcomputer-controlled electro-hydraulic servo universal testing machine and DS5-16b acoustic emission (AE) monitoring system, uniaxial compression and acoustic emission monitoring tests were carried out on rock samples, to study the uniaxial compression mechanical properties and acoustic emission characteristics of the deep diorite. The results of the study indicate that: (1) During uniaxial compression, diorite undergoes four stages: initial compaction, elasticity, yield and failure, in which the curve of the initial compaction stage is significantly smoother. The uniaxial compressive strength is 41.95 MPã102.42 MPa, with an average of 74.07 Mpa; The axial peak strain ranges from 1 % to 1.4 %, and the failure mode belongs to brittle ductile splitting failure. (2) The cumulative ringing count and energy showed a very slow increase trend during the calm period; After entering a surge period (with the appearance of Kaiser points), both show a significant transition state; During the slow increase period, the overall growth rate of the two slowed down and remained almost silent. (3) On the basis of the analysis of RA-AF values during the deformation and rupture process of diorite, it can be seen that the damage type of diorite is tensile damage by the significant low RA value and high AF value characteristics, which coincides with the actual damage fracture characteristics of the rocks in the sample. (4) During the compaction stage, there are few acoustic emission location points, which correspond to low energy and are mainly distributed at the higher and lower ends of the sample; After entering the elasticity stage, the number of positioning points significantly increases and gradually expands towards the middle; Near Kaiser point, the number of location points and corresponding energy are both in a sharp increase state, and this trend is in good agreement with the changes in the ringing count-time and energy-time curves. (5) The damage time mainly starts at the end of the calm period, and the pattern of change in the damage curve coincides with the localization point and energy evolution. The results of the research can be used as a referential basis for the development of the excavation, protection and other construction plans for the Lingbei TBM section of the Hanjiang-To-Weihe River Qinling tunnel or similar surrounding rock tunnels, as well as for further conducting triaxial unloading tests on diorite.

RESUMO

The hydration exothermic rate of fly ash concrete is significantly affected by the initial concreting temperature and water-binder ratio. Firstly, the adiabatic temperature rise and temperature rise rate of fly ash concrete at different initial concreting temperatures and water-binder ratios were obtained by a thermal test instrument; then, the effects of initial concreting temperature and water-binder ratio on the hydration kinetic parameters of the NG-I-D hydration process of fly ash concrete were analyzed by the theory of hydration kinetics; lastly, the effects of initial concreting temperature and water-binder ratio on chemically bound water and pore bulk of fly ash concrete during hydration were analyzed by applying a thermogravimetric analyzer and industrial CT scanning techniques. The results showed that the increase in initial concreting temperature and the decrease in water-binder ratio accelerated the rate of temperature rise, and the initial concreting temperature had a more significant effect than the water-binder ratio. During the hydration reaction, the I process was significantly influenced by the initial concreting temperature, and the D process was significantly influenced by the water-binder ratio; the content of bound water increased with the increase in water-binder ratio and age and the decrease in initial concreting temperature. The initial temperature had a significant effect on the growth rate of 1 to 3 days bound water, and the water-binder ratio had a more significant effect on the growth rate of 3 to 7 days bound water. The porosity was positively correlated with the initial concreting temperature and water-binder ratio and decreased with age, but 1 to 3 days was the key period of porosity change. Additionally, the pore size was also influenced by the initial concreting temperature and water-binder ratio.

RESUMO

The basic principle and method to generate structural color from the photoresist grating of the multilayer dielectric diffraction grating are introduced. Rigorous coupled-wave analysis is used for computation with the open software RCWA-1D. The relationships between the characteristics of the photoresist and the structural color are explained. This paper discusses the effect of light source characteristics on the duty cycle color resolution, indicating that TE polarization is better than TM polarization, and the FWHM should be sufficiently large with an optimized value for the incident angle.

RESUMO

Structure effects of distributed feedback (DFB) gratings on lasing action have been investigated for detecting explosive vapors. For the first time, we have established the optimized profiles of the DFB grating, and given the theoretical path to design its structure for amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) of organic polymer films based on Bragg conditions. A poly(p-phenylene ethynylene) (PPE) film can realize detection of dinitrotoluene (DNT) vapors in 2 min with a reduced excitation threshold of 26 mJ cm(-2) by using a simple and common 405 nm laser.

RESUMO

Temperature drift will be brought to Micro-Spectrometer used for demodulating the Varied Line-Space(VLS) grating position sensor on aircraft due to high-low temperature shock. We successfully made a Micro-Spectrometer, for the VLS grating position sensor on aircraft, which still have stable output under temperature shock enviro nment. In order to present a real time temperature compensation scheme, the effects temperature change has on Micro-Spectrometer are analyzed and the traditional cross Czerny-Turner (C-T)optical structure is optimized. Both optical structures are analyzed by optics design software ZEMAX and proved that comparedwithtraditional cross C-T optical structure, the newone can accomplish not only smaller spectrum drift but also spectrum drift with better linearity. Based on the new optical structure. The scheme of using reference wavelength to accomplish real time temperature compensation was proposed and a Micro-fiber Spectrometer was successfully manufactured, whith is with Volume of 80 mm X 70 mmX 70 mm, integration time of 8 ~1 000 ms and FullWidthHalfMaximum(FWHM) of 2 nm. Experiments show that the new spectrometer meets the design requirement. Under high temperature in the range of nearly 60 °C, the standard error of wavelength of this new spectrometer is smaller than 0. 1 nm, and the maximum error of wavelength is 0. 14 nm, which is much smaller than required 0. 3 nm. Innovations of this paper are the schemeof real time temperature compensation, the new cross C-T optical structure and a Micro-fiber Spectrometer based on it.

RESUMO

To eliminate the eccentricity effect, a new method for measuring the groove density of a variable-line-space grating was adapted. Based on grating equation, groove density is calculated by measuring the internal angles between zeroth-order and first-order diffracted light for two different wavelengths with the same angle of incidence. The measurement system mainly includes two laser sources, a phase plate, plane mirror, and charge coupled device. The measurement results of a variable-line-space grating demonstrate that the experiment data agree well with theoretical values, and the value of measurement error (ΔN/N) is less than 2.72 × 10(-4).

RESUMO

In order to improve the efficiency uniformity of large-aperture beam sampling gratings (BSGs), a conventional chemical mechanical polishing (CMP) process of fused silica by CeO2 slurry is proposed to modify their groove profiles. With the proposed CMP process, the efficiency uniformity of several BSGs with an aperture of 430 mm×430 mm has been successfully controlled within an rms of 5%. The proposed CMP process is an effective method to improve the efficiency uniformity of large-aperture BSGs. Using the proposed CMP process, the requirement of the uniformity of the holographic ion beam etching process can be released in the realization of large-aperture BSGs.

RESUMO

Based on our reliable high-power picosecond laser source with high beam qualities, we designed a compact and efficient third harmonic generation scheme by cascading a frequency doubling and a sum frequency generation using LBO as the nonlinear material. A maximum output of 39.1 W with a repeat rate of 1 MHz at 355 nm was obtained, which implied a pulse energy of 39.1 µJ, which was the highest picosecond UV pulse energy with an all-solid-state setup so far. The total conversion efficiency from infrared to UV was up to 46%. And the output UV has excellent beam qualities with an M-square factor less than 1.1.

RESUMO

A broadband [SiC/W/Ir](2) multilayer coating was deposited onto a diffraction grating to enhance the grating efficiency in the 50-100 nm wavelength range in a Seya-Namioka mount. The holographic ion-beam etched grating had a laminar profile with 1200 lines/mm. The coating was designed by using the subquarterwave multilayer theory. The measurement results show that the efficiency in the -1st diffraction order is greater than 9.3% throughout the wavelength range of 50-100 nm, which is obviously higher than that of single-layer gratings with SiC, Ir, or Au coatings.

RESUMO

Laminar-type gratings as soft x-ray beam splitters for interferometry are presented. Gold-coated grating beam splitters with 1000 lines/mm are designed for grazing incidence operation at 13.9 nm. They are routinely fabricated using electron beam lithography and ion etching techniques. The laminar grating is measured to have almost equal absolute efficiencies of about 20% in the zeroth and -1st orders, which enables a fringe visibility up to 0.99 in the interferometer. The discrepancy of the grating profiles between the optimized theoretical and the experimental results is analyzed according to the comparison of the optimized simulation results and the measurement realization of the grating efficiencies. By a precise control of the grating profile, the grating efficiency in the -1st order and the fringe visibility could be improved to 25% and 1, respectively.

RESUMO

We describe a simple and convenient method of controlling the profile of a blazed grating that consists of using a patterned native-oxide layer of off-cut silicon (111) wafers as the mask of anisotropic etching to maximize the smooth blaze facets of the desired blaze angle and to minimize the deficiencies of the groove apexes. With the blazed-grating profile well controlled by this technique, a 1200 g/mm blazed grating was fabricated that had a blaze angle of 5.0 degrees and smooth blaze facets of about 0.2 nm rms. It was measured to have blaze efficiency in the vacuum-ultraviolet wavelength region.

RESUMO

We reported on an all-solid-state double Nd:YAG slab laser. The laser was based on two diode end-pumped Nd:YAG slabs and a stable-unstable hybrid resonator. A cw output of 189 W and an average Q-switched output of 169 W at 10 kHz with an M(2) factor of 1.5 in the slow direction and 1.7 in the fast direction were obtained. We demonstrated efficient near-field frequency doubling by imaging the one-dimensional top-hat near-field to a lithium triborate frequency doubler. We obtained 93 W green light at 10 kHz with a pulse width of 10.7 ns. The efficiency of second-harmonic generation was up to 57%.

RESUMO

Grating beam splitters have been fabricated for soft X-ray Mach- Zehnder interferometer using holographic interference lithography. The grating beam splitter consists of two gratings, one works at X-ray laser wavelength of 13.9 nm with the spatial frequency of 1000 lines/mm as the operation grating, the other works at visible wavelength of 632.8 nm for pre-aligning the X-ray interferometer with the spatial frequency of 22 lines/mm as the pre-alignment grating. The two gratings lie vertically on the same substrate. The main feature of the beam splitter is the use of low-spatial- frequency beat grating of a holographic double frequency grating as the pre-alignment grating of the X-ray interferometer. The grating line parallelism between the two gratings can be judged by observing the diffraction patterns of the pre-alignment grating directly.

RESUMO

A method to improve the accuracy of the wavelength encoding varied line-space grating displacement sensor is presented. Based on the detailed analysis of the measured displacement errors from the single-mirror configuration sensor, a dual-reflector configuration is used to replace the previous configuration, and greatly decreases its errors. Experiments are conducted in order to make comparison of the two configurations. The results show that the measured displacement error of the sensor with dual-reflector configuration is lower than 0.03 mm in full scale (0 to 50 mm), only about 10% of the sensor with single-mirror configuration.

RESUMO

Varied-line-spacing gratings are used in soft-x-ray monochromators and spectrometers because of their ability to correct various aberrations by varying the groove density. A curved grating blank in a Rowland circle mounting could eliminate primary aberrations. Bending a plane constant-groove-density grating into a desirable surface can eliminate higher-order aberrations as a result of the change in surface profile and groove density. This provides a simple means for improving the imaging properties. When used in a monochromator, the grating can be bent to different degrees to minimize aberrations at all wavelengths. General formulas concerning the transformations of groove function, groove density, and groove spacing are presented for the bending grating. Analytic results with a numerical example show the significant properties of the system.

RESUMO

We demonstrate a novel method for fabricating glass microlens (arrays) with single step on conventional lens surface. In this method, the glass microlens can be achieved by only one step with sol gel glass material. The microlens aperture and focus length can be controlled easily and uniformly. The fabricated sample shows good focusing property. This work will be useful to improve the performance of compound eyes optical system such as camera, telescope, 3D integral imaging and so on.

RESUMO

We demonstrate a method of fabricating varied-line-spacing grating by employing elastic medium with variable vertical section. The advantages of this technique include continuous variation of line spacing, high fabrication efficiency, low cost, etc. It is very difficult or impractical to produce this variation of line spacing by traditional interference lithography. This kind of grating can be used in an optical position sensor to improve the precision of the sensor.

RESUMO

The quartz depolarizer consisting of two wedge-shaped quartz crystals was designed based on the Lyot depolarizer. The quartz depolarizer is used to reduce the polarization response of spectral instruments. The residual degree of polarization of the quartz depolarizer was derived by the method of matrix optics, so the variation regularity of its depolarization characteristic was analysed concerning its center thickness and the status of the incident radiation in the UV-VUV spectral range. Its depolarization effect was obvious for the radiation with some spectral bandwidth. Also, the depolarization characteristic of the quartz depolarizer was studied experimentally with 1-meter Seya-Namioka UV-VUV spectrometer, using LiF crystals as the polarizer and analyzer. The residual degree of polarization of the quartz depolarizer was less than 1%. Both the theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the quartz depolarizer we designed is appropriate to the spectral measurement with high accuracy.
