RESUMO

Existing practice implementing data obtained by occupational control and special evaluation of work conditions fails to evaluate hazardous effects caused in workers' health state by wide spectrum of risk factors such as social, ecologic, climate, etc. Widening possibilities for deeper health risk analysis can be provided by integration of laboratory and instrumental data on evaluation of hazardous and dangerous occupational factors into present systems of social hygienic monitoring. According to results of joint project within disciplinary program, Leningrad regional division of Federal Agency on sanitary epidemiologic supervision specified and implemented a regional model of integrated data base in informational funds of social hygienic monitoring. Consequently, quality and validity of management decisions in health risk factors control have significantly improved.i.

RESUMO

Retrospective clinical and epidemiologic analysis covered occupational diseases in Leningrad region. Findings are that over recent years a tendency to lower number of primarily diagnosed occupational diseases continues. The authors justify necessity to work out the programs on prevention of occupational diseases in the region.

RESUMO

The paper presents the results of complex sanitary-and-epidemiological, toxicological-and-hygienic, and medical diagnostic studies of health and the environment, by taking into account the activity of a toxic industrial waste ground. Toxic waste burning on primitive unfiltered apparatuses was shown to lead to the formation of a biogeochemical province that is characterized by pollution of soil, bottom sediment, subsoil well water and snow with heavy metals, the components of toxic waste. Burning of waste and its storage in the open trenches resulted in ambient air pollution with organic solvents, nitric oxide and sulfur oxide had a negative impact on the health of children living at a distance of 3 km from the ground.

RESUMO

The article deals with peculiarities in diagnosis of diseases caused by environmental hazards. The diagnosis covers population level and includes evaluation of environmental quality. Analysis of health for whole population and for risk groups enables to reveal "indicator" diseases. Social and hygienic monitoring, complex sanitary and ecologic examination recommend disclosure of facts and causes for any "nonspecific" diseases, definition of disorders caused by specific environmental hazards. The authors consider unity of hygienic and epidemiologic analysis for causative relationships in "human-environment" system in evaluation of noninfectious risk factors.

RESUMO

Study using geoinformational technology provides integrity and compatibility of diverse information about territories, determines "cause-effect" relationships between environmental pollution parameters and some health state parameters. Intensive technogenic pollution with cadmium, zinc, mercury, copper, chromium, lead, benzpyrene, radionuclides could be assessed through data of ecologic and social hygienic monitoring and results of research works.
