[The prospects for the study of the prevalence of urologic diseases in the RSFSR]. / Perspektivy izucheniia rasprostranennosti urologicheskikh zabolevanii v RSFSR.

Despite an insignificant (2-3%) percentage in the pattern of total morbidity, renal and urinary diseases affect all age groups and lead to severe complications. They cause temporary disability, invalidity and mortality of a great part of the productive population, significantly damaging the economic status of the country. Therefore, the study of their incidence rate and temporary disability induced by them at the industrial enterprises in certain fields of the RSFSR national economy is of importance as it may reveal the reasons which in turn may be used for the reduction of incidence. This is of great scientific and practical value and enables the concrete measures to be developed for lowering the incidence of urological diseases.
