[Rehabilitative treatment of patients with ureterolithiasis using pulsed vacuum depression, pulsed low-frequency electric current, and radon therapy].

The authors report results of the treatment of 60 patients with ureterolithiasis using a combination of pulsed vacuum depression (local vibrotherapy), low-frequency pulsed (alternating sinusoidal) current, radon water and radon baths. Clinical efficiency of combined therapy is estimated at 93.3%.

[A dose-effect curve in the range of biological and therapeutic action of the radon treatment].

Optimal dose regimen for radon treatment in different diseases should be estimated with dose-effect curve in the range of a stimulating action of moderate doses. The range of therapeutic doses is situated on the ascending part of the resultant curve between minimal and maximal levels of the factor effect.

Functioning of emanatorium for conduction of artificially prepared air radon procedures with utilization of both pure radon and its short-living daughter products is described as well as principal setting of the emanatorium and radiological parameters of the radon procedures. The conditions of possible clinical studies in the above emanatorium are outlined.

Higher therapeutic efficacy of iodine-bromine baths in conversion of iodine from an ionic form (standard iodine-bromine baths) into a molecular one is registered. This is explained by a 23.8 times increase in precipitation and a 4-times increase in iodine penetration into the body when it is molecular. A more effective function of the cardiovascular system, a stronger corrective effect on lipid metabolism, microcirculation in the absence of changes in a secretory function of the thyroid were registered.

[Use of radon-containing rectal suppositories in chronic prostatitis complicated by sexual dysfunctions]. / Primenenie radonosoderzhashchikh rektal'nykh svechei pri khronicheskom prostatite, oslozhnennom polovymi disfunktsiiami.

The article describes how to apply radon-containing rectal suppositories in patients with chronic prostatitis (CP). Intrarectal insertion of the suppositories is performed in the patients lying in the left lateral or knee-elbow position daily for the first 8 days in a dose 18.5 kBk, for the following 2-4 days in a daily dose 37 kBk 2-3 times a day. So, the course of the treatment takes 10-12 days. Such treatment of CP patients eradicated or alleviated prostatic inflammation and improved sexual function, was effective in 80% patients, prolonged remission to 12-16 months.

[Application of sinusoidal modulated currents and radon therapy in patients with uroliths in upper urinary tracts]. / Primenenie sinusoidal'nykh modulirovannykh tokov i radonoterapii bol'nym s kamniami verkhnikh mochevyvodiashchikh putei.

The paper describes the method of elimination of the upper urinary tract uroliths using a combination of the following modalities: sinusoidal modulated currents, drinking of artificial radon water, radon water baths and no-spa medication. Evacuation of the concrements or their fragments from the upper urinary tracts reached 80%.

[Impact of volumetric activity of radon on the concentration of air ions and on the power of electric field]. / Vliianie ob"emnoi aktivnosti radona na kontsentratsiiu aéroionov i napriazhennost' élektricheskogo polia.

This paper considers the impact of the volumetric activity of radon and its degradation products on the concentration of aeroions and on the strength of an electric field. The optimum range of the volumetric activity of this substance and its daughter degradation products, and their generated aeroions is substantiated. Technology has been developed for space- and time-combined measurements of the volumetric activity of radon, the density of radon flow from the ground surface, the concentration and mobility of negative and positive aeroions, and a difference in potentials of the electric component of atmospherics.
