RESUMO

To reduce the risks and challenges faced by frontline workers in confined workspaces, accurate real-time health monitoring of their vital signs is essential for improving safety and productivity and preventing accidents. Machine-learning-based data-driven methods have shown promise in extracting valuable information from complex monitoring data. However, practical industrial settings still struggle with the data collection difficulties and low prediction accuracy of machine learning models due to the complex work environment. To tackle these challenges, a novel approach called a long short-term memory (LSTM)-based deep stacked sequence-to-sequence autoencoder is proposed for predicting the health status of workers in confined spaces. The first step involves implementing a wireless data acquisition system using edge-cloud platforms. Smart wearable devices are used to collect data from multiple sources, like temperature, heart rate, and pressure. These comprehensive data provide insights into the workers' health status within the closed space of a manufacturing factory. Next, a hybrid model combining deep learning and support vector machine (SVM) is constructed for anomaly detection. The LSTM-based deep stacked sequence-to-sequence autoencoder is specifically designed to learn deep discriminative features from the time-series data by reconstructing the input data and thus generating fused deep features. These features are then fed into a one-class SVM, enabling accurate recognition of workers' health status. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed approach are demonstrated through comparisons with other existing approaches.

As a severe public health concern directly endangering life safety, adolescent suicide has been extensively investigated in variable-centered studies. However, gaps remain in the knowledge of heterogeneous suicide risk patterns and their developmental nature. Additionally, little is known about protective factors associated with suicide risk patterns and changes. This study applied person-centered approaches to explore suicide risk profiles and transitions over time in early Chinese adolescents, along with their protective factors. A total of 1518 junior high school students (49.6% girls, Mage = 13.57, SD = 0.75) participated in two surveys within a 12-month interval. Latent Profile Analysis and Latent Transition Analysis were used to model the profiles and transitions of suicide risk. Three risk profiles were identified at both time points: low risk profile (73.9, 78.3%), medium risk-high threat profile (16.2, 10.2%), and high risk profile (9.9, 10.2%). Low risk profile was stable, while medium risk-high threat and high risk profiles showed great transitions over 12 months. Sense of control, meaning in life, and regulatory emotional self-efficacy served as protective factors against suicide risk profiles and transitions. Findings underscore the importance of comprehensively illustrating suicide risk states from multiple aspects, as well as understanding the fluid nature of transitions between different risk states. Prevention and intervention strategies aimed at enhancing resilience, such as increasing sense of control, perceived meaningfulness, and belief in emotional regulation, may contribute to reducing the risk of suicide among adolescents.

PURPOSE: To observe the feasibility and efficacy of Pseudomonas aeruginosa-mannose sensitive hemagglutinin (PA-MSHA) in refractory lymphatic leakage following lymphadenectomy among patients with gynecological cancers. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Ten cases with post-operative massive lymphatic leakage were collected, in which patients failed to respond to conservative treatment. Topical PA-MSHA injection of a single dose (2mL) was performed through drainage tube or transvaginal catheter into pelvic or peritoneal cavity. Drainage volumes and side effects were recorded. RESULTS: The incidence of refractory lymphatic leakage following pelvic and para-aortic lymphadenectomy was 2.44% (10/409). All ten patients (100%) had quick recovery and were discharged within 72 hours. Among them, one patient (10%) experienced fever and six patients (60%) experienced abdominal pain, one of which was moderate and relieved by routine analgesic treatment. During 11 (6-38) months of follow-up time, no long-term side effect was observed. CONCLUSION: Topical injection of PA-MSHA of a single dose appears a feasible and effective treatment for refractory post-operative lymphatic leakage.
