RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is rapidly changed medical habits, and dental clinics have been forced to adapt. This study explored the pandemic-induced changes in patient utilization of dental services to assist practitioners in responding efficiently to similar public crises as references in the future. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed the correlation between patient profiles and dental visits attendance within 2 months before and during the outbreak. RESULTS: A total of 332 patients, 210 women and 122 men (total number of visits: 1068) were enrolled in this study. A significantly lower attendance rate was noted during the COVID-19 period (70.3%) than prior to the pandemic (83.4%). The rate of return visits for patients with a high education level during the COVID-19 period was significantly reduced from 96.5 to 93.1%. In addition, the number of days between two visits significantly increased during the pandemic. CONCLUSIONS: Our results indicate that, during the pandemic period, the attendance rates of return dental appointments decreased, and the rate of missed appointments for patients with a high educational levels was higher than that of patients with a low educational level. CLINICAL RELEVANCE: Preventive management of these patients who are easy to miss dental appointments may enable more effective use of medical resources.

RESUMO

Transgenic pigs failed to accord milk yield curve to lactate rhFIX-a vitamin K (VK) dependent protein even fed with VK enriched to 8 times higher than nutritional requirement. A further higher VK supplementation may be required. Homozygous transgenic sows (n = 4, 200 kg) at their 3rd nursing were divided into control and treatment groups and respectively received VK enriched and further menadione (soluble VK) supplemented diet (220 mg/kg VK enriched diet) for 33 days. At next lactation, control sows than received treatment and previous treated were fed on control diet. Results revealed that menadione treatment increased milk bioactivity of rhFIX from the 7th day of 73 to the 21st day of 153 IU/mL; it gradually decreased to 96 IU/mL on 35th day of lactation. Under control feeding, bioactivity remained relatively unchanged. However, milk rhFIX concentration and ratio of activated rhFIX responded little to the treatment. The menadione-induced bioactivity curve agrees with the known lactation pattern of sow means rhFIX secretion is still galactopoietic but requires high VK intake to show. The ineffectual VK spend on lactational carboxylation might be common in other mammary VK dependent expression system but can be effectively overcome by a high supplementation of menadione with a 5-folds improvement in quality.

RESUMO

In recent years, it is quite important to develop a customized system which can enhance physical fitness and health for people. And the system reliability is more important. In the paper, a fool-proofing design and crisis management for customized physical fitness and healthcare system is proposed. It is designed to prevent the failure of the various mechanisms of customized physical fitness and healthcare system, including records, surveillance, assessments, predictions, diagnosis, prescription, and scheduling. It is separated into (1) fool-proofing design module (2) crisis management module. The fool-proofing indexes are set to prevent the failure of the various mechanisms. The states of the various mechanisms are managed by the auto-checked fool-proofing indexes. If mistakes prevention was fail, we have to execute the crisis management for stopping harmful results. The crisis management will find the error level and response the solution by using fuzzy method. By the experiments, we can find the advantages of the fool-proofing design and crisis management for customized physical fitness and healthcare system. And it is effective to prevent the failure of the various mechanisms of intelligent customized physical fitness and healthcare system.

RESUMO

With the advent of the era of global high-tech industry and commerce and its associated sedentary lifestyle, opportunities for physical activity are reduced. People's physical fitness and health is deteriorating. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system that can enhance people's physical fitness and health. However, it is difficult for general physical fitness and healthcare systems to meet individualized needs. The main purpose of this research is to develop a method of intelligent diagnosis and prescription for a customized physical fitness and healthcare system. The proposed system records all processes of the physical fitness and healthcare system via a wireless sensor network and the results of the diagnosis and prescription will be generated by fuzzy logic inference. It will improve individualized physical fitness and healthcare. Finally, we demonstrate the advantages of intelligent diagnosis and prescription for a customized physical fitness and healthcare system.

RESUMO

Physical fitness and health of white collar business person is getting worse and worse in recent years. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a system which can enhance physical fitness and health for people. Although the exercise prescription can be generated after diagnosing for customized physical fitness and healthcare. It is hard to meet individual execution needs for general scheduling of physical fitness and healthcare system. So the main purpose of this research is to develop an intelligent scheduling of execution for customized physical fitness and healthcare system. The results of diagnosis and prescription for customized physical fitness and healthcare system will be generated by fuzzy logic Inference. Then the results of diagnosis and prescription for customized physical fitness and healthcare system will be scheduled and executed by intelligent computing. The scheduling of execution is generated by using genetic algorithm method. It will improve traditional scheduling of exercise prescription for physical fitness and healthcare. Finally, we will demonstrate the advantages of the intelligent scheduling of execution for customized physical fitness and healthcare system.

RESUMO

A Cas9/sgRNA RNA-guided endonuclease expression system including a codon-optimized Streptococcus pyogenes A20 Cas9 recombinant protein expression vector and a spacer-guide chimeric RNA expression vector using the porcine U6 promoter was constructed for application in pigs. Only the Flag2-NLS1-Cas9-NLS2 recombinant protein in complex with sgRNA was translocated into the nucleus; the Flag2-NLS1-Cas9-NLS2 protein alone was excluded from the nucleus. Up to 13% of porcine PK1 cells targeted in vitro were observed, regardless of transfection efficiency.

RESUMO

We propose a new framework for multiple scalable bitstream video communications over lossy channels. The major feature of the framework is that the encoder estimates the effects of postprocessing concealment and includes those effects in the rate-distortion analysis. Based on the framework, we develop a rate-distortion optimization algorithm to generate multiple scalable bitstreams. The algorithm maximizes the expected peak signal-to-noise ratio by optimally assigning forward error control codes and transmission schemes in a constrained bandwidth. The framework is a general approach motivated by previous methods that perform concealment in the decoder, as in our special case. Simulations show that the proposed approach can be implemented efficiently and that it outperforms previous methods by more than 2 dB.
